Switch Gamelanguage to English

Hello,

this is a short and simple guide to set the game language into the original english from the dev.
It is still HIGHLY advised that you take one of the translation patches as the dev just smashed the lines of text into google translate which sadly ends up in making a lot of stuff very hard or impossible to understand. Sadly the current available translations are still very rough and seem also not to translate by context, but line by line but its still better than nothing.
There are 3 ways to set your game to english, I will show them all 3 to you.

1. ULTRA EASY - Copy Paste File

I have created a fully clean Setting.lps that you can download here:

To use this, close the Program and go to steam, right-click the game, select "Manage" and "Browse Local Files". Now you should be in the games folder where you can see the "Setting.lps".
Here you copy my version and overwrite yours.
When you start the game now it is in english.

2. Easy - Manually Edit File

Close the Program and go to steam, righ-tclick the game, select "Manage" and "Browse Local Files". Now you should be in the games folder. Now doubleclick the "Setting.lps" file. In here you see one of 4 possible lines for the language and if you are reading this you have one of the three bad ones.

All these 3 lins set your game to chinese. To change this, you alter the word between the # and : into en as shown below

Now save the file and boot up the game back up and it should be in english.

3. Geek way to impress your local friends with this problem!

We are changing it via the ingame menu, so boot that bad boi... I mean girl up and rightclick her. You will now see

now in the popup menu you click the LAST option


You will now see the options menu, where we click THIS


This option MIGHT be in chinese for you. I don't know if it still uses the english translation mod I am using after I set it back to chinese for this guide. If you have 3 options in the menu it SHOULD BE the FIRST one, if you have 4 options it is the second one.
Now switch, to be sure, into the second tab which should now be "System" (even if not just click the second tab in the TOP row (not left).
Scroll down until you have 4 blue bars which you can see on the following screenshot and click the TOP one of the 4.


Now close the game. For that click on the lower left of your taskbar (you might need to expand it first like in my screenshot) and rightclick the game icon and select the very last option, no matter what it reads.


The game is now closed. If you now re-open your game it is in english.

IMPROVE THE GAMES ENGLISH

Now I really advise to use any translation patch to make the options and everything more readable. Please keep in mind all mods I found are still very rough, partially wrong but still much better than the english the game gives you. Here is the mod I am using:

After you hit "Subscribe" (preferably while the game is closed) you go into the system settings (which I don't need to show anymore as you already have an english interface by now! (Hooray)) and scroll down on the left to the Mod Manager.
Here you click the "Better English" and hit "Enable". Now a final restart of the game and you are good to go and have fun with this cute critter.

FINISHED

I hope could help you as I don't have an english system and thus the game defaulted to NULL for me which will hopefully fixed at any given point.

I downloaded the settings file and replaced it with the new one and since than the game won't start. Reinstalled the game, restarted the computer but nothing works so far.

@SHAYDEN If you need help, I need more details. Which of the ways did you try? You can always reinstall the game and it will instantly start again. Do you get any error messages?
