Foreword
The Director's Cut update removes mechanics and certain tweaks introduced in previous updates. If an object doesn't have the correct description here, you can reproduce the results with more accuracy with the menu option to re-enable these cut features.
Ball
Places a ball at the crosshair which inflates in size, and then continually rises upward. Standing on the ball weighs it down.
Bamboo
Creates a growing line in the direction of the crosshair that stops upon contact with any object or until it grows to its maximum size.
Bomb
Sets a bomb at the location of the crosshair which is affected by gravity and explodes after a few seconds. The big explosion can knock the player or other objects around.
Box
Shoots a weighted box towards the crosshair that can be pushed, stood on, and stacked.
Butterfly
Teleports you towards your crosshair and leaves a butterfly behind. After the butterfly blinks twice, it teleports you back to the position of the butterfly.
Camera
The snapshot zone freezes objects affected by gravity in place. After taking a picture, a film is ejected in the opposite direction at high speed.
Clamp
Attaches a clamp to the first object it touches which allows the object to travel from two points, even if it were normally unaffected by gravity. The clamp points can be vertical or horizontal depending on the direction the clamp was fired at.

You can move attached clamps by using the UP/DOWN keys.
Delete
Places an X at the crosshair which deletes objects that the X covers. If the exit portal is deleted, the level becomes impossible to complete. Fruit deleted by the tool reduces the amount of fruit needed to complete the level.
Fish
Launches a fish in the direction of the crosshair which flops around wildly. Upon touching a lethal object it will die, losing the ability to jump.

Frog
Deploys a frog that leaps in the direction you're currently facing, then leaps in the opposite direction. Can eat fruit, reducing its jump height and the amount of fruit necessary to complete a level. Dies after touching a lethal object, after which it no longer jumps.
Gungun
Launches a weighted controllable gun in the direction of the crosshair, bouncing off of surfaces it touches. Firing other tools fires them from the gungun rather than your hands. Picking up the gungun allows you to fire normally, and also restores its own ammo.

If the player dies, they will instead teleport to the gungun's location.
Impulse
Places a vortex at the crosshair which after a delay vacuums in all gravity-affected objects and the player with a brief implosion.
Instabox
Places a small static circular object at the crosshair.
Ladder
Places a ladder at the crosshair which attempts to extend itself up to a maximum height.
Mobilise
Fires a gravity-affected projectile that explodes on contact with a surface. After a delay, all objects within the circle as it expands continually rise upward with enough acceleration to (usually) carry the player upwards as well.
Mushroom
Fires a mushroom toward the crosshair which bounces any object that it touches away from it, including the mushroom itself if its top makes contact with another surface.
Nograv
Places a permanent small square cyan field at the crosshair which unwraps into a bigger square. The player and objects that enter the field are no longer subject to normal gravity and will continue in the direction that they entered from.
Phaser
Fires a green square in the direction of the crosshair that is not affected by gravity and will burrow through the first object it touches. The object can wrap around the screen vertically and horizontally. After burrowing and coming out into empty space, it will teleport the player to its location after a brief delay.
Pomegranate
Launches a small pomegranate towards the crosshair that is affected by gravity and creates a small explosion on contact with any surface, but with much more strength than the bomb.
Rocket
Places a rocket at the crosshair. Activates after being touched by the player, starting a countdown and finishing with it briefly rocketing in the direction it's facing. Can be used three times by the player.
Spear
Fires a gravity-affected spear towards the crosshair which sticks to the first object it touches, creating a solid platform to stand on. Can also be used to cut ropes and weigh down floating items.

Spears will stick to fish and kill them.
Tentacle
Fires a gravity-affected projectile that creates a tentacle on impact. All tentacles can be controlled by using UP/DOWN movement keys.
Upgrav
Fires a gravity-affected projectile that creates a permanent vertically rectangular zone of effect on impact with an object, unwrapping into a bigger rectangle. All objects within the zone continually rise upward if possible.
Vaporise
Fires a gravity-affected projectile which explodes on impact. After some delay, sucks in all objects nearby and renders them unaffected by gravity if not already. If an object manages to escape the ring as it's pulled in, it will become affected by gravity.
