Hello fellow engineers,

welcome to my little guide on how to fortify an objective. Since english is not my native language i will keep talking to a minimum - a picture is worth a thousand words anyway. (The pictures might be dark, welcome to Squad44, i can't be bothered.)

What you need: Supplies, your shovel and a bit of imagination.

Special thanks to all the SK-logistic veterans for sharing their knowledge!

But Bob, how can i build my own bunker?
Pictures might be place holders.

So how does it work? It all relies on a feature :) that allows you to place some buildables elevated from the ground. Common suspects: Trees, walls, stones, buildings; hell, even crates and barrels. Once you know what to look for it becomes really easy to find suitable spots.

So to get started you place an roofless bunker elevated in a tree or anything other that lets you place elevated. Since the possible height is mostly limited its way easier on sloped terrain, since one side of the bunker will have more space to enter the bunker - you want to get inside crouched, crawling might be a deathtrap in case of a nade.

Once you have placed the roof of your bunker its time to work on the sides. The goal is to build embrasures - but not to many, you still want cover. Rule of thumb: The less cover from foliage the smaller the slits. No one is staying in your bunker if it provides no cover.

Good obstracles for creating slits (no or big limit with FOB):

Things to avoid: Remember the enemy might try to use your fortifications against you, build appropiate. Place walls behind slits, razorwire infront, keep the back open for easy retake. You can limit the usefulness of slits by building parrallel walls - gives your team a wide angle through slits, but the enemy has only limited view from the other side.
Always keep in mind how well the silhouette is spotted from outside (critical if background is sky or snow), walls behind open spaces can greatly reduce visibility.

Some times you will fail because you have not enough room to enter - in this case close with a log wall and build another one next to it.

Tips for the pros
work in progress

How can i load a map local?
Open console in main menu, type adminchangemap (All available maps with layers are shown in console. It might appear that nothing is happening, give it some time, the map will load)

How can i spawn supplies?
open console, type AdminCreateVehicle BP_Opel_Blitz_Logi_C
sadly you just cant access it - you can get in the vehicle and see the supplies, but as soon as you get out they disappear. Fortunately you can change the belonging to a team for every object via console. Type TreaceViewToggle in console, you should now see in the left upper corner a description of what you are looking at. Look at the Opel.
Type AdminChangeObjectTeam 1 or 2 (1=Axis, 2=Allies) - now you have access to the supplies.

Pro tip: Spawn muliple trucks, unload them all and switch the supply box - faster than changeing every truck.

Other usefull commands:
AdminSlomo [number: 1 default, less than 1 slower, over 1 faster (2= 2x)]
AdminNoDelays (instant switch team and respawn)
AdminAddMatchTimeSeconds
SetHudWidgetsEnabled 1/2^
AdminAllKitsAvailable 0/1

Interesting tricks. I'll have to give some of these a try. Thanks.
