Config tweak: How to unlock FPS (60+)
By medeiros
Does the game lock to 60 FPS even though you've changed the graphic settings to play with a higher frame rate? This simple tweak to a config file will force the game to run over 60 FPS if you have a high refresh rate monitor.

The config file
The setting we want to change is located on the local_profile file. To find this file, you need to:

1. Search for %appdata% in your Start menu;
2. It will most likely take you to C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Roaming;
3. Go a folder back and then open the Local folder and search for Gameloft;
4. Afterwards, go to Asphalt 9 Legends and then Documents;
5. Right-click local_profile (it's a file without an extension), and open it with your preferred text editor (built-in Windows Notepad works fine);
6. Search (CTRL+F) for desiredFPS;
7. Change the value in front to your desired max FPS, which should match your monitor's refresh rate (i.e. if you have a 144 Hz monitor, change it to 144);
8. Save and then start the game. Done!

You can use Steam's built-in FPS counter to check if the game is now properly being rendered at a high frame rate. If it ever locks back to 60 FPS after an update or something, repeat this process.

To go straight to appdata\local just write %localappdata% instead of %appdata%

Or just copy paste the path into the run window, that works too.

Nice work, but I would advise guiding users to press Windows-button+ R and type in "%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Gameloft\Asphalt 9 Legends\Documents" instead. That will open the path in File Explorer on Windows.
