This guide will assist with gameplay basics for Among Ripples. 🐟

🏞️ Overview

Among Ripples is an experimental ecosystem management simulator in which you create & manage your own freshwater pond. Selecting from a variety of wildlife – including Dace fish, Perch fish, Clams, Crayfish, Pike fish, and Otters – you will carefully curate your pond's creatures & oxygen levels for a suitable environment.

🐟 Wildlife Spawn Locations

There are 6 different species available for your pond:
Dace fish, Perch fish, Clams, Crayfish, Pike fish, Otters

Each species has their own unique spawn location, as indicated on the below map.

Note: There is a limit to how many creatures you can spawn right away; you must wait for existing creatures to grow or die before spawning more. Additionally, the following creatures will begin reproducing themselves under the right environmental conditions: Dace fish, Perch fish, Clams, Crayfish, & Pike fish.

🔁 The Food Chain

Otters ➡️ Crayfish ➡️ Clams ➡️ Algae
Otters ➡️ Pike fish ➡️ Perch fish ➡️ Dace fish

Note: The otters seem to prefer crayfish, but will eat pike fish if no crayfish are alive/present in your pond.

🌬️ Oxygen Levels

⬆️ Increase Oxygen Levels: Left-click and drag to the left to increase oxygen levels.
⬇️ Decrease Oxygen Levels: Left-click and drag to the right to decrease oxygen levels.
