MAKING A MOB FARM

THIS FARM DOESN'T INVOLVE GLITCHES!
This is an actual guide that doesn't tell you stupid things.
Sorry if my english is bad.

WHAT THE BLOODY HELL IS A MOB FARM!?!?!?

A Mob farm is just a Coward Pyramid but it has much more spawn rate around it! Hordes of mobs will spawn and Fall into the lava like dumb nerds they are and you will get Cash that all loves and Cool Loot!!
If you don't know what is a Coward Pyramid, it looks like this:

You hide like a coward under your coward pyramid and mobs will die in the lava while trying to get you

(You can break the blocks on top of the lava)






But this time it will take a MUCH larger area at the Cavern layer and it will look like this on the map:

and it will look like THIS while grindin:

MAKING THE FARM!

Remember you can make the farm ANYWHERE you want in the cavern layer because you can make artificial biomes in terraria, You need 300 blocks of corruption and a floor of corrupted blocks for corruption enemies to spawn (You will still get souls if you dont make the floor corruption), Make sure it can't Spread and it is the same for other infections also 140 Jungle-related blocks for jungle and 1500 blocks for ice and desert biomes!

BTW: Making the farm right before the Wall of Flesh will help you to die less while making it.

Anyways lets get to actually making the farm and this is how big it is:

You will need a ton of dynamite and 1589 deaths to complete this farm. First make the out line of the farm and make it 168 blocks wide and 99 blocks tall. You can use torches or blocks to track how big you are making it.

After that Blow up the insides with dynamites. Using sticky dynamites is better and it is also not that expensive. Need 1 dynamite and 1 gel and if you see liquids on your way make a way to the under of the farm for them and now they are gone............. Done dynamiting? GOOD! Because there is now a bunch of enemies coming to kill you for no reason. Quick! Put some lava at the bottom of your farm! 4 Buckets of lava will do it.

Ok. You are safe for now, Be sure you also destroyed the Background walls Ok now lets build The Platform at the 50th block (form the bottom) of your farm. build it form under the 50th block so mobs spawning wont be able to get you and make your pyramid right in the middle and a walled room under the Pyramid, I recommend putting chests, a bed and a water candle in the room.
Then put dart traps at the both sides of your platforms and connect them to a timer to anger mimics. Finally Make a pile of stone blocks next to you to change biomes and some jungle grass because jungle got more spawn rate.

Remember to comply this thing I drew on paint while making a jungle:

While farming for a Rod of Discord

Set your floor to pearlstone, and turn the biome to hallow.
Chaos Elementals that has a chance to drop the Rod of Discord needs the conditions below to spawn.
The player is not standing in front of a safe background wall.
No NPCs are housed nearby.
In the past 5 seconds, the player has either used an item or has moved.
HOWEVER!
None of the above conditions are required when the player is within range of a Shadow Candle

Extra Additions:

1) You can also make dart traps inside the pyramid to kill faster
2) You can make a hole connects the room under the pyramid and inside the pyramid and kill mobs faster with a yoyo.
3) you could make a small lava pit above your pyramid to kill bats easier.

Of course, just put a body of water below, give the water 300 blocks of area to have the most fishing power. To get water in create a ∙.∙ shape with solid blocks, and spam a water bucket to one of the upper blocks to dupe the water.

Glad you found it helpful! I thought I recommended making it Pre-hardmode in the guide but I forgot about it. Anyways it is in now so thanks for help.

I followed the video linked in this tutorial a while ago, and although it took me a while and I died many times making it (if you can, try to make it before hardmode because the cavern enemies are lethal in early hardmode) it was very much worth it. I've got 36 platinum in my piggie bank and it made it much easier to get the components of the ankh shield
