Ronald McDonald

The crazy hamburger clown from McDonald's has finally made it to Fray with a large arsenal of powerful moves that will pretty much destroy any regular character, ranging from spammy projectiles to fast melee attacks to unfair stun moves to instakill super attacks. He can do anything!

CHARGED SPECIALS:

All of Ronald's special moves have different variations based on if you quick tap or hold down the special button, the held variants usually act as a stronger version of the quick variant at the cost of having longer startup.


GRAB SPECIALS?:

Instead of having regular grab and throw moves (he doesn't need them), The grab button acts almost as a second special button for Ronald, giving him even more moves than a regular character should have. Similarly to his regular specials, most of these moves have a held and quick tap variant (besides side grab).


SUPER METER:

Landing melee hits (no projectiles) or parrying attacks with Ronald will fill up his super meter which can be used to preform his various super moves (read below for inputs). The meter is split up into 3 bars indicating levels of power and there are currently 3 super moves for each level, making a total of 9. There are various sounds and visual effects that will be displayed either on the meter itself or Ronald to indicate your current level. It takes a total of 130 damage dealt in order to fill it up completely.


MAC BURST:

Taking damage as Ronald will fill up his McDonald's logo-shaped meter, requiring 80 damage to be filled completely. Once this meter is filled, pressing the attack button while in hitstun will preform his Mac Burst move, a quick attack that covers a large area, pushing any opponents away while taking Ronald out of hitstun and cancelling any knockback.

Donald Magic: DOWN + SHIELD1, (Grounded only)
Hanva-Ga-Da: UP + EMOTE
Za Warudo: DOWN + CSTICK-UP, (Grounded only)

LEVEL 3:

McLaser: LEFT/RIGHT + SHIELD2, (Overrides Donald Blast)
The Living Doll: UP + CSTICK-DOWN
Happy Set: DOWN + EMOTE, (Grounded only)

• Moves like airdash and up special don't send Ronald into any kind of special fall, making it much easier to continue combos and recover back to stage.
  
• Ronald's rolls, airdash and wavedash all send him much farther than a regular characters would.
  
• Morshu (!?).
  
• Many of Ronald's projectile/stun moves have cooldowns to them, an icon indicating the move used will shortly appear above Ronald when it has recharged.
  
• Ronald's last few alternate costumes have special gameplay properties to them (read below for more info).
  
• Ronald's parry has been significantly buffed in terms of how safe it is to use it.
  
• Ronald's down strong lowers your grounded friction, allowing him to slide across the ground during the move.
  
• Ronald's up strong will send the opponent back down to you, making it a good combo starter.
  
• Ronald has 2 double jumps by default.
  
• Ronald's apple bomb has 2 random types of explosions.
  
• Ronald's emote acts as a counter move, upon being hit during it, Ronald will teleport behind the opponent and gain a second of super armour to punish them. Oh no.
  
• Ronald's Triforce barrier can be stood on like a platform.
  
• Ronald wins.

Ronald's last like 10 alternate costumes have special gameplay properties to them, split up into different "modes" he can be in. On the character select screen, there is an icon indicating the mode Ronald will be in for each alt.

GOLDEN RONALD:

Indicated by the angry yellow looking icon, Golden Ronald, aka the super cheater mode, is the most major extra mode for Ronald. With this mode, Ronald gains a significant buff to his general mobility as well as automatic health regeneration, infinite jumps/airdashes and automatic super meter charging. Ronald also now has an insane turbo mode, that makes most of his attacks ridiculously fast at the cost of a nerf to his knockback and damage, meaning getting a ko still takes some effort. Many of Ronald's projectile moves also now spawn multiple of them at once, however, they still have their regular cooldowns (the game would probably crash otherwise). Golden Ronald also has unique passive visual effects as well as a unique final death animation if you manage to beat him.

COSMIC RONALD:

Indicated by the menacing purple looking icon, Cosmic Ronald, aka the super duper cheater mode, has all of the properties that Golden Ronald has, however, many of them have been strengthened or altered such as his healing, meter charging and mobility. Unlike Golden Ronald, this mode buffs his damage and knockback to be stronger than regular Ronald, making winning the match effortless. Oh also, Cosmic Ronald is like... unable to be ko'd at all, no character can beat him currently :)

JOKE MODES:

Purple Ronald: It's like Cosmic Ronald if he was purple.
The Weird Green One: It's like regular Ronald if... you can figure this one out yourself.
