Locating missing map tiles tip
If you are having trouble locating any missing map tiles, checking the local map completion percentage can help narrow down your search.

You can check either the whole game's map by pressing the map button, or the local area's map by holding the map button. The local area's map displays a completion percentage for just the area you are currently in.
The local map only looks at the area you are currently in, so to check the local map for Desert Stronghold, you first need to warp there before holding the map button.

Full map, only shows full map completion percentage.

Local map, shows both the full map completion percentage as well as the local area's completion percentage.

I had trouble with this in the first game, you have to hit every part of every room for it to show up on the map. The map registers only the area on screen in the map, it helps to zoom in and look for gaps.
Tacocat has the best guides for completion I've seen for HunterX and sequel Code name T.
No spoilers, no clickbait, just a great guide. As it should be. Thanks for making these.

Had 99.9% too, last 0.1% to 100% came (after a long search comparing maps) from the small spot down left from the pink arc in the Village.
