How to skip the race

Before you smack the ♥♥♥♥ out of your screen or your controller (like me), let me give you a quick guide on how to easily skip the Race.

Introduction

Hello and welcome to this Guide on how to skip mission 5 aka "Fair Play".
In this mission you have to win the race. That can be really difficult if played in classic mode.
And before you start to rage quit the game, just follow 4 simple steps to skip the race and start right at the point after it.
You still will be able to get the "Made Man" achievement.

DISCLAIMER
If you scroll trough the Guide it looks complicated but I just made it step by step, so everyone understand the instructions.
!!ALSO MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP YOUR FILES IN CASE SOMETHING GOES WRONG!!

Short guide

If the detailed guide is too long for you heres a short version:
Just download and extract the file. Click "Data" -> "INSERT_YOUR_NUMBER_HERE" -> "gamesaves" -> "default" -> "aslot"
Than open your "Local Disk (C:)" -> "User" -> ""YOUR USERNAME"" -> "Documents" -> "My Games" -> "Mafia Definitive Edition"
And than the same as before (but there is a folder with random numbers after "Data" you have to open) until you find your 3 savefiles.
Now place them somewhere in case something goes wrong and replace them with the 3 savefiles from the folder you downloaded.
Close everything, start Mafia and click "continue".

First Step

At first you have to follow this Link : https://www.nexusmods.com/mafiadefinitiveedition/mods/29/
There you have to download the file.

Second Step

After you downloaded the file you have to extract it.
I would recommend to do this on your desktop.
Then you get this "Mafia Definitive Edition" folder.

Third Step

Now double click the File "Mafia Definitive Edition"

So now that you're have to click trough some folders.

1. Click "Data"




2. Click "INSERT_YOUR_NUMBER_HERE" (You can ignore the name, that's just for another way)




3. Click "gamesaves"




4. Click "default"




5. Click "aslot"




If done right you should see 3 save files "save0", "save1" and "save2"

Now drag and drop then to your desktop.





You can now delete the "Mafia Definitive Edition" folder where you received the files from.

Fourth Step

We have prepared the gamefiles with the finished race.
Now we have to locate our current gamefile to switch them.

-For that, go into your explorer and open "Local Disk (C:)"


-Find the folder "Users"


-Search "Documents"


-And in that you have to find "My Games" (This folder might be pretty full)


-In "My Games" you should be able to find your "Mafia Definitive Edition" folder


From that point its pretty much the same as in the third step,
just with the difference that after you double click "Data", a folder with random numbers will appear just click this folder aswell.

When you arrived in the "aslot" folder just repeat to drag and drop the 3 savefiles.

Put these in an extra folder to save them just in case something goes wrong.
But these files have to get out of the folder!

After the files are out, just take the files you from earlier, that you safed on your desktop.

And put them in your "aslot" folder where you in rightnow.

Now you can close everything and start Mafia. Click "Continue" and you should start right after the race.

(It can happend that there comes a warning but just start)
