1. Introduction
While playing Spacelines From The Far Out and trying to unlock all the achievements, I found out that they are not always crystal-clear in terms of their requirements. Specifically, some "hidden restrictions" can make things take longer than expected or even prevent you from unlocking a few achievements, so I decided to create this guide to highlight those restrictions and help you complete the game.
2. General info and clarifications
I divided the list of achievements as follows:
  • Voyage achievements can be unlocked by traveling from the company's main terminal to Gambulon V;
  • Parcel achievements are related to lost parcels found at space terminals;
  • Shop achievements can be unlocked for purchases at space terminals;
  • Task achievements require to fulfill specific conditions (much like small quests);
  • Goal achievements can be unlocked by performing specific actions multiple times (in short, grinding).

Before we get into the guide, some clarifications need to be made:
  • The game provides three save slots for playing, but each one has separate progress (company rating, customizations, employees, etc).
  • You can host an online game (from any of your save slots) or join an online game, but any game progress is tied only to the save slot in use, which is the host's.

Now, here's the tricky part which led me to create this guide:
  • A few achievements can be unlocked only by the host, in case you're playing online.
  • As opposed to the game progress which is gained only by the host, achievement progress is usually granted to the guest too. For example, if the host buys a ship upgrade, the purchase counts towards the related achievement for both the host and the guest (the host and guest counts are still separate though).
  • Many achievements require fulfilling a specific task multiple times, but the total required by some of the achievements must be reached all in one save slot.

That said, the following tags will be used in the achievement descriptions:
  • host-only for achievements unlocked only by the host, in case of online games;
  • single slot for achievements whose requirements must be met in the same slot;
  • player-specific for achievements which requires the player to personally perform the related action, in case of online games.

With that said, it's time to fly.
3. Voyage achievements
Earn Your Wings

Survive the tutorial
Host-only — Finish the tutorial at the start of a new game (on any save slot) to unlock the achievement. Since you can't host an online game yet at this point, the achievement is host-only.

Day One

Complete your first route
Complete your first route. By "route" we mean the path from one space terminal to the next one.

Home Among the Stars

Arrive at the Company Terminal
Host-only — Finish the short voyage to the company's main terminal, after the tutorial. Since you can't host an online game yet at this point, the achievement is host-only.

We're Not In Kansas Anymore

Reach the Gamma Sector for the first time
The Gamma Sector is the second (and middle) sector visited during the voyage to Gambulon V. Assuming a voyage of about 18 terminals, the achievement should be unlocked by reaching the 6th or 7th terminal along the road.

The Final Frontier

Reach the Vacation Sector for the first time
The Vacation Sector is the third (and last) sector visited during the voyage to Gambulon V. Assuming a voyage of about 18 terminals, the achievement should be unlocked by reaching the 12th or 13th terminal along the road.

The Jewel of the Vacation Sector

Reach planet Gambulon V
Finish a voyage and reach Gambulon V.
4. Shop achievements
A Work in Progress

Acquire your first system upgrade
Buy your first system upgrade at Droidley's shop.

Master Modder

Acquire 30 system upgrades
Buy 30 system upgrades at Droidley's shop. In case your ship is already fully upgraded and you don't want to buy/upgrade a new ship, you can just keep buying the radar, cooking machine or engines: these items have two enhanced versions (an "efficient" one and a "resistant" one), and Droidley will always have the version alternative to yours for sale.

Droidley's Lucky Day

Buy all 3 items at once at Droidley's
Buy all 3 items at once at Droidley's shop. This achievement is easier in the early game, because the first upgrades are cheaper.

A Wise Decision

Buy ship insurance for the first time
Insure a ship for the first time. You can buy ship insurance at the bank.
5. Parcel achievements
I Feel Pretty

Unlock a customization
Single slot — Customizations can be randomly found inside lost parcels, at space terminals. There are three types of customizations: company color palettes, company logos, and ship paint jobs. Only company customizations count towards the achievement, while ship customizations don't count: find any company customization and you're done. Based on my experience, customizations are more common inside green, blue and purple parcels.

Fashionista

Unlock 25 customizations
Single slot — Find 25 company customizations inside lost parcels.

The Art Collector

Unlock 50 customizations
Single slot — Find 50 company customizations inside lost parcels.

A Fresh Face

Unlock your first new employee
Employees can be randomly "found" inside lost parcels, at space terminals: find any employee to unlock the achievement. Based on my experience, employees are more common inside blue parcels.

Headhunter

Unlock 10 employees
Find 10 employees inside lost parcels.

Spaceship Hobbyist

Unlock a ship blueprint
Ship blueprints can be randomly found inside lost parcels, at space terminals: find any ship blueprint to unlock the achievement. Based on my experience, ship blueprints can be found inside gold parcels. Also, a special parcel is granted the first two times you reach Gambulon V (one parcel per voyage), and each one unlocks a special ship.

Shipyard Foreman

Unlock 3 ship blueprints
Find 3 ship blueprints inside lost parcels.

Aerospace Architect

Unlock 6 ship blueprints
Find 6 ship blueprints inside lost parcels.
6. Task achievements
Branding 101

Customize your spaceline for the first time
Just change the company name, color palette or logo at the company's main terminal to unlock the achievement.

First Class Spaceline

Get a 5-star rating for the first time
Reach a 5-star rating for the first time. To unlock the achievement, you must (totally) fill the last star thus reaching the "First Class" rank.

A Glamorous Flight

Reach Gambulon V with a 5-star rating
Finish a voyage and reach Gambulon V while having a "First Class" rank. Please note that having such a rank doesn't mean you must have 5 filled stars at the same time: when a new star is filled, you're granted the rank corresponding to that star, and you'll keep the new rank as long as you don't fill the next star (thus getting a better rank) or empty the star of the current rank (thus getting a worse rank). For this reason, even though I haven't personally verified it, the achievement should be still unlocked by starting the very last route with a "First Class" rank and ending the route with a rating "inside" the 5th star (that is, between 4 and 5 stars).

The Ultimate Machine

Fly a ship with all 15 classes of systems installed
Any ship in the game can be equipped with up to 15 systems (one system per type): each ship has some systems pre-installed, and the remaining ones can be purchased at Droidley's shops or found in lost parcels. To unlock the achievement, just fly a ship with all 15 systems installed. For example, the two special ships unlocked by reaching Gambulon V have 14 systems pre-installed, so they miss just one system.

Overbooked!

Exceed your ship's maximum passenger capacity
Exceed the passenger limit of your ship. Sinblarg ships have a passenger limit of 12 while Voxtron ships have a passenger limit of 10, so the latter is recommended for the achievement.

Crowd Pleaser

Have 5 passengers simultaneously satisfied
If you please a passenger many times without getting them angry, that passenger becomes "satisfied" ("heart" status) and won't have new requests for some time. To unlock the achievement, you must have 5 satisfied passengers on board at the same time. Having a fully upgraded ship will make things way easier, but the following systems are particularly useful: seats (passengers don't go around), TV (passengers are always entertained), toilet (do I have to explain?), food dispenser (you don't go out of food). Having 5 passengers on board from the start of the route is also recommended, so you can start pleasing them sooner. One last tip: the ship does not consume fuel when the engines are turned off, therefore you can stop the ship and focus on the passengers only.

The Purge

Have your flight attendant vomit
There are many ways to get your flight attendant sick, but I think this is the easiest one: cook any food, then leave it on the floor and wait until it is rotten, then hold it for some time and your flight attendant will eventually get sick. While sick, just wait a little and... you'll unlock the achievement.

Never tell me the odds!

Nearly miss a comet
Host-only — Avoiding comets is not very difficult, but the achievement won't trigger if the comet doesn't get close enough to the ship, at least based on my playthrough. For this reason, my suggestion is to fly toward the comet while maintaining a trajectory parallel to it (sort of like the opposite lanes of a road), that way it should be easy to avoid the comet while getting close to it.

Sir, I Can Explain

Get shut down by the health inspector
If your company's rating is less than 1 star, an "inspection event" may happen along the next routes (there's a dedicated icon in the flight details of the route, in case). After getting on board, the health inspector will take a look around for possible violations (ex. puddles of puke) and, if any are found, a countdown starts: if the violation is not solved soon, you get shut down and the voyage ends immediately. The lack of gravity is considered a violation, so just turn the gravity off and wait for the inspector to complete the violation check.
7. Goal achievements
Just Smile And Nod

Pass 5 health inspections
To unlock the achievement, you must pass 5 health inspections. Playing co-op is recommended because one player can distract the inspector by dancing, while the other player takes care of everything else. The conditions to trigger inspection events are described in the Sir, I Can Explain achievement.

Spaceline Crew

Complete 5 routes while playing co-op (local or online)
Complete 5 routes while playing co-op (local or online). The co-op mode is available only after completing the tutorial and reaching the company's main terminal, but you can also join another player's game as an alternative.

Castaway

Run out of fuel once
Run out of fuel once. Since any game over decreases the company rating drastically, my suggestion is to use a dedicated "catastrophic save slot" for this achievement.

The Price of Gas These Days...

Run out of fuel 5 times
Run out of fuel 5 times. Since any game over decreases the company rating drastically, my suggestion is to use a dedicated "catastrophic save slot" for this achievement.

Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly

Explode your ship once
Make your ship run out of hull points to destroy it. The ship get 1-point damage from asteroid hits, but comets (obviously) work too. Since any game over decreases the company rating drastically, my suggestion is to use a dedicated "catastrophic save slot" for this achievement. Also, don't worry about your ship, in case it's not insured: if you can't afford a new one when you lose, you will be given enough money to buy a new standard ship, next time you go to the company's main terminal.

Fireworks Fanatic

Explode your ship 5 times
Destroy your ship 5 times. Since any game over decreases the company rating drastically, my suggestion is to use a dedicated "catastrophic save slot" for this achievement.

Spacenight Fever

Nail 200 dance moves
Player-specific — Perform 200 dance moves correctly.

A Gourmet Experience

Prepare 50 meals
Player-specific — Cook 50 foods.

Flying Restaurant

Serve 200 meals
Player-specific — Serve 200 cooked foods to passengers. Please note that, at the time of writing this guide, serving food only works if the passenger is standing, while food served to seated passengers does not count.

I Can Fix That

Repair 100 broken systems
Player-specific — Repair 100 broken systems.

Space Janitor

Clean a toilet or a puddle of puke 30 times
Player-specific — Clean a toilet or a puddle of puke 30 times by using the mop. Puddles of puke are caused by sick passengers, and the toilet gets dirtier every time a passenger uses it. I point out that cleaning the toilet always counts for one, regardless of how dirty it is, so my suggestion is to clean it as soon as it gets dirty.

Medic!

Heal 10 sick passengers
Player-specific — Heal 10 sick passengers by using the infirmary (that is, the healing pod). Serving rotten food is an easy way to get passengers sick.

Spaceline Tycoon

Unlock all achievements
Unlock all the other achievements.
