Mod Pack | Nexus Collection
By Vel
As a compliment to Mez's work, I have made a collection on Nexus that includes the most important mods to work with Darktide's lack of features and QoLs.

Credits & Info
- Mez (For his initial work on Steam)
- All modders

Why a Nexus Collection?
Simple - Mods downloaded through collections can be tracked via their authors as DLs. If you use a mod from a bundle that somebody else made, authors won't know their true download numbers!
Instructions
  • Download the collection & install the mods
  • Enable/Disable whatever you want
  • Click on 'toggle_darktide_mods' from DarkTide's root directory (1 folder above '/mods')
  • Make sure the mod rules is properly set for the AUTO MOD LOADER - this will allow you to skip the mod load order (check boxes in Vortex) because it loads all mod by itself. This should automatically be applied from the vortex collection.
Enjoy!

Now in-game, you can view and modify any mod that has a settings configuration by pressing
ESC > Mod Options

Further Details
After you install the package and enable all your mods (Cntrl+A > Enable)

To make sure that all mods are enabled, navigate to your <Darktide_directory>/mods and check 'auto_mod_loader_log.txt' file if it has all mods inside it.

Guide has been updated with AML (Auto Mod Loader) which makes the after-installation process much easier. Once AML is installed, you no longer have to manually deploy/elevate from MOD LOAD ORDER page. AML enables/disables your mods by itself.

@Jesus

Just click on "Slow download" here: https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/1?tab=files&file_id=2518 and go through the installation normally.

Once you do it, I think it will ask you to login, if not, all you have to do then is use the collection.

If you really don't want to go through this you can still download the files one by one anyway and move them manually to the /mods.

Thanks to you, Author! But, still, i'm confused about previous steps. Do i need to install Vortex for this collection first? Then I should look for a guide on how to install it. Sorry, i feel myselft dumb asking these questions...

@Jesus I added some further details that might not be clear if you simply use the collection.

Hey man :) Sure thing, I will add the instructions here!

Hey, Author! can you discribe or reference the full instruction of what i need to do to install this Collection? I'm worried to do something wrong.

It wanted to install like 5 random things before I even got to your modpack, and it seemed like those failed anyway. Vortex seems worse than that garbage app Nexus used before. The only way to mod games is manually, and I'll never budge on that. Nothing is easier than drag and drop from zip files.

I get your frustration

But from now on you'll only need to open nexus to see if there are any updates, and should be rather easier to manage your mods (enable/disable).

If you don't like how this is working you can still use Mez's guide. And if you want to update the old mods ontop of Mez's folder you'll have to download them manually frkm Vortex too.

Went to all the trouble of using this weird vortex thing and it still demands I open a page for every single mod and manually download the file. This is completely stupid.

Glad it helped somebody out there!

Let me know if you guys want something added onto the Collection, I can mark it as optional upon the installation.
