Petz Catz 2 is unavailable to buy on Steam and because of this you cannot leave a review about it anymore, so I want to leave my brief opinion about this game in this guide.

Petz Catz 2 is basically a cat life simulator, where the player has to take care of its digital cat.

The game idea itself is not bad: you basically watch out for your cat's needs and you also train it to do different tricks and with these actions the player unlocks new toys and decorations. You can also make snapshots about your pet in different costumes, too. This doesn't sound that much, however if you can get the game for 5€ (which is / was the offical price for this game), then on paper it doesn't look that bad of a deal.

But sadly Petz Catz 2 has some issues. The first thing which I noticed is the graphics. Now, Petz Catz 2 orignally came out on the Wii in 2007 so I understand the graphics looks old because of that, but it still doesn't look good. There is another serious issue for me, and that's the location of certain actions. In the game there are 4 areas where you can do certain activities with your cat, for exemple your cat can only eat and drink in the kitchen or your cat can only take care of itself in the bathroom. This last example is weird for me, because there is another area which is the yard and my question is, why can't I take out my cat if it wants to do it's thing? This would be extremely useful, because throughout my 2 hours of playtime I have no clue how to command the get to use the litter box... seriously I tried clicking on EVERYTHING, this little thing doesn't want to do anything with it. Also, doing tricks is a bit difficult because sometimes the game doesn't register yoru inputs correctly and your cat will do something different. The game also lacks any music or sound track, making the game eerie in my opinion... I mean come on, this is a kid's game. Why doesn't it have any music in it?

Even though the game costs only 5€ (if you can find it), it just has enough issues which makes it annoying and lacks content. I can't really recommend to buy the game at all, but atleast if you want to laugh for like 30 minutes about how the cat sounds like and get annoyed by the cat when it doesn't do what you ask from it (just like in real life most of the time), then go for it but don't pay more than that.
