So despite my initial assumptions I ended up going for this.

Quick info: Jamestown: Legend of the Lost Colony is a shmup made on 2011 by Final Form Games. It consists of 5 separate stages with the option of running them all in sequence with the Gauntlet AKA Arcade mode. 
Normally, while in gameplay, you can fill up a bar with drops and use a mechanic called "vaunt" to be invincible for a short time and absorb bullets. Judgement is the final difficulty, where, combined with the difficulty increase, it throws bullets at you (those green rings) that CAN'T be absorbed and WILL kill you while on vaunt. Except only when you perform a second, shorter, emergency vaunt, where you're also invincible to them.

Scoring is based on keeping vaunt as much as possible without cancelling it, absorbing bullets and killing enemies in special ways. Sometimes short vaunts are worth timeouting some bosses. I barely implemented any scoring strat here becuase my full focus was on survival, it's just that my routing happened to have some scoring aspects on it.

This game tooks 55 hours to beat, with around 20 of them being destined for this achievement. In hidnsight, you can see how close I got on the previous video. Still a testament for how tight the overall game is. I spent lots of time frustrated at how ridiculous my last boss' chokes were. I think I had 6 of them, this would be my seventh run that made it there.

I'm planning on making a more detailed guide to seriously detail how to approach this since I can't go in full detail here. But to sum it up: 
- The stages are all learnable and with enough routing you can only be in trouble in a pinch of sections. In general you need to control the scenery by killing the most important enemies before it gets impossible. Specially because some enemies shoot RNG. In fact, the very start of the run is the part where I die the most at EVEN while going for Final Form. So if you ever felt discouraged from the get go, you're not alone.
- The first and the third boss are trivial. 
- Second boss is considered hell for some, and I admit it's still very hard, but I found a vaunt ritual that let me go through it with a much higher success chance than what it was estimated, meaning the RNG can be mitigated a bit.
- Fourth boss is hell. While its last attack is basically static, you have to both set it up beforehand by killing its previous phase on a specific moment (MANDATORY), and vaunting and deactivating the shield at the right moment. That means it's very tight.
The sad part is that if you don't learn this, it's very likely that you will lose the most lives to this boss even if going for a normal judgement gauntlet completion.
- Finally, the Last Boss (not Conquistador but the actual TLB). While it's considered a not that hard boss for my peers, I admittedly choked a lot on it, as I mentioned. It's a combination of tons of bullets, nerviousness and boxes not doing what I want. I improvised a bit on the third and fifth phase, which are considered the most difficult in that order.

Fuck this difficulty, specially on this version. Go play Jamestown+ instead, but I won't stop you.
