How to play outdated mods
By altis94
Want to play a mod but it hasn't been updated to work with the latest MCC patch? Chances are you can still play the mod just fine!

How to update a mod manually
Step 1
Subscribe to a mod!
Step 2
Go to your Steam installation folder and then to "SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\976730\" The last numbers may be different, you just need to locate where your MCC mods are.
Step 3
Find the mod you want. There will be a list of all MCC mods you have, you can either go one by one or use the search.
Step 4
Update the mod!
Open up ModInfo.json in Notepad. What you need to find is this part:
"MaxAppVersion": { "Major": 1, "Minor": 3073, "Patch": 0

Change the "Major" to something like 9. Once done it should look like this:
"MaxAppVersion": { "Major": 9, "Minor": 3073, "Patch": 0
Save the file and enjoy the mod!

Keep in mind that some mods may have been broken after some MCC patch. All Halo CE mods should work fine but I'm not sure about the later games.

Because most patches don't break mods in any way but modders still need to update their mods with the latest mcc version number. Its a really dumb system that shouldn't even exist
