Introduction: glad to be of help!
So i've bought a Racing Wheel recently and settled down on using the Logitech G29 to decided to enter the world of Arcade racing games

However Burnout Paradise does not seem to have presets for the Logitech G29/G920/G923.
Roaming the internet did not really give a easy and straightforward method of either downloading a pre-set file, and/or the layout one could use without having to figure out everything yourself.

Logitech G Driving Force Shifter users:
The bindings are done on the steering wheel and paddles only, the optional shifter is not included in the bindings and have to be done by the yourself if desired. (i don't own it)

Side-note:
Before playing the game, it's recommended to install BPR Modder and install the Core Bugfixes:
https://bpr.bo98.uk/
1. Logitech G HUB settings
The following steps apply for all Logitech Steering Wheels:

Download and install Logitech G HUB
- Open Logitech G HUB
- Go to the settings for your Logitech racing wheel
- Click on: Manage Profiles
- Click on: add Game or Application
- Add BurnoutPR.exe (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BurnoutPR)

Select the profile: "BurnoutPR: Default"
- Set the operation range (angle) to 180

*you can also use "Desktop: Default", however it's recommended to apply it to the game itself
2. Setting up the Racing Wheel
I've tried to map the configuration to both official layouts of other supported wheels and whatever felt most logical/good.
Because there are many conflicted button mapping as its concidered a normall controller, the edits have to be done manually by editing the .ini file.
It is important to NOT edit the controls in-game as this will likely mess it up.

Step 1:
- Run the game and go into controller settings
- Map a random button to anything on your racing wheel
- Save
- Repeat the previous step a second time. (IMPORTANT)
- Save the game and exit

Step 2:
Afterwards, go to the the following directory:
- "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Criterion Games\Burnout Paradise Remastered\Save"
- Open: "controls.ini"
- There should now be a line added with a name indicating your racing wheel, for example:
2 = 1AB234C5-6D78-90EF-1234-567890120000, A12B345C-0000-0000-0000-123456789000, Logitech G HUB G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel USB, 4

- Right BELOW this line, copy and paste the following contents:

what is the point of connecting a wheel to a game without the ability to trailbrake?(braking AND turning at the same time WITHOUT drifting) you literally have a "drift button" binded to your brake, what is the point of using a wheel if there is no countersteering, rev controll, trailbraking etc needed to play this game?

It has helped me a lot. I love you

Removed the .ini as it required a unique S/N, instead re-wrote the whole guide with the previous optional method as a new main.

@T1LT
I've re-written the whole guide, the previous ini file will not work without the correct S/N number.
Please re-follow step 2.

If you've already done step 2, remove the .ini file from the folder (preferrably while the game is running) and re-do step 2 to recreate the controller.ini file.

@FerGon59 You can always apply them, the wheel is simply registered as any other controller

If I follow your steps above, including downloading the .ini flie you created, can I then skip step 3 and everything after that?
FerGon59 7 maja 2024 o 6:37
Can it be applied to other games just by changing the file address? or how people play darksouls with a steering wheel or other peripherals

Some minor controls (such as the siren & bike controls) are missing, this will be added later when I've gotten to play the game more. (i did not unlock any of it yet lol)
