EA WRC | Moza R9 FFB Settings
От Sprout
My preferred FFB settings for EA WRC with a Moza R9.

After a couple of hours months tweaking things this is what I came up with. Took me a while to find out where to start and based on a reddit post explaining each effect, this a good place to start if you own a Moza DD wheel. FFB settings are subjective so dial up/down any specific forces to get the feeling you prefer. Having no real world experience, any feedback to make things more realistic or informative is welcome.

Example: if you want a lighter feeling than these settings, lower SAT and Tyre Slip little by little until its feels right. To alter the feeling of the wheel loading up as the car rotates, play around with Tyre Friction and Suspension settings while keeping everything else untouched, when you are happy SAT can be used to control the gain (or weight) of TF and Suspension. Note: SAT primarily effects those settings so adjusting SAT will amplify TF and suspension (Tyre Slip and Collision forces are independent)

Settings - Moza Pithouse & In-game
These settings were created based on advice from a very helpful reddit post explaining the FFB characteristics in EA WRC . I highly recommend checking it out, especially the explanation of how SAT, Tyre Friction and Suspension settings interact - this is crucial to good FFB settings.

UPDATE [12 Oct 2024]
On the EA WRC buzz once again! After a fresh look and a few hours experimenting, have changed two in-game settings which make a big difference and caused a serious face palm moment.
Wheel Friction and Tyre Friction settings are in-game damping settings which only dampens and slows the info the car is relaying through FFB - TURN BOTH THESE SETTINGS TO ZERO.

UPDATE [24/12/23]
S M O K E Y suggested in the comments to use 1080° rotation and softlock. After testing, I now use 1080° wheel rotation in Pithouse with soft lock enabled in game set at 100. In pithouse set soft limit stiffness to what ever feels right - it really doesn't matter. For a realistic feel set it on the lighter side as there is typically some play when at max lock in a real car. Make sure you calibrate your wheel rotation in game when changing it in pithouse

For those who need to know, soft lock is the games way of reproducing the steering lock of a specific car, i.e. if you set your pithouse/wheel software settings to 1080° or 900° and drive a modern car, the wheel will only rotate 540°, yet, if you drive an older car with 900°+ of steering lock, your wheel will match that rotation without needing to change any settings.

UPDATE [19/1/24]
Patch 1.4.1 has released and with that, here are my latest FFB setting. Thanks to S M O K E Y for the suggestions and with his alternate settings from a different post prompted a bit more experimentation. Below are my current settings with Moza R9 and CS wheel but can be useful for any DD wheel, adjusting overall force accordingly.

Hope these can be of some help.

A friendly reminder, listen to your co-driver! That means you too Samir

I've played for a couple of hours since Moza added new dials in pithouse. I didn't touch anything and felt very much the same.

Im about to jump on for a few runs so will have a play and see if there is anything worth reporting.

@Sprout It seems OK, adds abit of arse end feel. I still think the wheel straightens up a tad to fast. So more trail and errors when I get a spare minute :steamfacepalm:

@SMOKEY Natural inertia in place of damper makes sense, how are you finding it?

Updated settings, don't be shy to make suggestions! The goal here is to get the most out of the game so let the critiques fly.
