Comprehensive maps of each area - All puzzles, collectibles, lore, and more!
Autorstwa: Mesolimbic

The 12 spacious biomes in Talos 2 are no doubt the main focus of the game, each featuring a variety of winding paths, secret areas, hidden collectibles, and more. So why not map it out? For some of the more intricate areas, it can be easy to miss some important items and lore, so the goal was to make these maps as complete as possible. Each of these top-down maps cover:
  • Spawn pod & Bridge ring
  • Main paths
  • Normal / Lost / Gold puzzles
  • Lost lab
  • Both monuments
  • Both sparks
  • Prometheus' sprite (if applicable)
  • Terminals
  • Human artifacts
  • Remnants & Straton
  • Anomalies
  • Switches (if applicable)
  • Easter eggs
If anyone notices something missing or incorrect on any of the maps, please let me know!

Latest Updates:
9/1/24 - Minor fixes and additions to the DLC maps
7/6/24 - Into the Abyss DLC added
7/5/24 - All 3 Isle of the Blessed DLC areas added
6/29/24 - Orpheus Ascending DLC added
3/10/24 - Added 28 easter egg locations & made a few adjustments
1/20/24 - Added the new anomaly holograms (from 1.1.0 update) & misc. aesthetic adjustments
12/28/23 - Added New Jerusalem map
12/3/23 - Made an improved West 2 map
11/28/23 - Added newly discovered artifacts, labeled artifact names, labeled which terminals are Trevor/Lifthrasir, a few other fixes and adjustments

At some point I plan to go back and add the puzzle names to the original 12 maps like I did for the DLC.

A few notes:
  • Human artifacts will not appear in their alternate locations if you already interacted with them in previous locations
  • The zoom-out level of each map varies due to their variations in size and how much I could reasonably squeeze in. In some cases I had to crop a few items off screen to keep it at a reasonable zoom (these are noted with arrows and a description)
  • The maps are oriented based off the player's starting direction (usually facing the tower) for better navigation. Compasses have been added to show true cardinal directions
  • There are a few additional easter eggs that are not added due to being really minor and/or awkward to label. For a more exhaustive list and additional information about easter eggs, this YouTube playlist and this Steam guide are great resources.

Shoutout to everyone who has helped provide additional artifact locations as they're still discovered.
And a huge thanks to Croteam for being awesome devs & supporting this project by providing the raw icon files and suggesting the console command which helped me cull out towers that were obstructing the view.

Higher resolution versions of maps can also be found on The Talos Principle Wiki[taloswiki.org] which actively has hard-working community members compiling everything there is in the game. Go and check it out!

I am starting an endeavor of creating visual guides such as these for various games. If these helped you out, consider leaving a tip on Ko-Fi.[ko-fi.com] I also have higher quality versions of these maps as free downloads on there (Steam limits file size for images).

If you can, please consider a quick rate + favorite to help support content like this!

This map compiles the key locations within the city along with each location of the main interactable NPCs between all 3 visits. Relevant achievements have been listed as well.

I had to take a slightly different approach to this one due to the sheer size of it.

This might be one of the best guides on whole Steam. It honestly could be included in the game's artbook

@ReginaldK - Thank you! Most of them are the official sprites from the game files, but a few I created myself.

One of the devs in the Discord was kind enough to send me a folder full of the official icons which was really helpful. Big shoutout to Croteam for being so chill with that.

Hi! These maps are fantastic! Thanks for all your effort.

Q: The icons on the map, did you create those yourself, or were they pulled from the game files?

@James Bong - Thanks for pointing that out. The new URL for the wiki is https://taloswiki.org so I'll update that. Alternatively you can find the high res versions for free on my Ko-fi page [ko-fi.com]

"Higher resolution versions of maps can also be found on The Talos Principle Wiki" The wiki is inaccessible. It could be down temporarily but I tried it last week and it was down as well. Anywhere else you can upload the higher resolution versions of these maps? Thanks! If not that's okay, I just thought I'd mention that the site is down.

Hey mate, just letting you know the Movie Poster Easter Egg in E1 is a on the literal south-east corner wall (unless the poster changes locations and I don't know about it.)

Bravo! These maps are really easy to read!

I solved pretty much everything on my own,
but now I can go for EASTER EGG TOUR!

I didn't even know their existence before finding these maps :slugcatdead:
