The W-Item is a command materia allowing you to use two items during a turn. To duplicate items during a fight choose the W-Item command, and pick any item you want to duplicate use it the first time and then select the same item (or any other battle item) select it and then cancel it. This glitch will cause the amount of that first item to increase by one each time you press cancel.

Yea I agree Brian I don't think this was so much a cheat but actually intended.

It's really too bad this won't be, can't be intentionally added in FF7 Remake. I do not enjoy the materia in FF7r.
