NOT THE SAME AS THE MONKEY KING MOD FOR XIAO YAO YOU. WILL PROBABLY NOT WORK PROPERLY WITH IT.


Should be compatible with most mods, even the ones that edits ceo like MTU, TUP, Wu King, etc. EXCEPT for the Eight Princes campaign because Wukong is using a background trait from that DLC.


This mod is not made for any monetary gain and will forever be free and available for anyone to use and modify if needed



A stripped down, more balanced version of the original Monkey King mod that I made awhile back
The previous Wukong mod was made just for fun and was purposefully OP.

This version is for those who wants to play with the Monkey King in 3K but wants a hero that's more inline with the legendary characters in the vanilla game. Without any of the original mod's quirks and new skill tree structures.

He's still very strong, but can no longer solo two full stacks like the original


There will be an event at the start of the campaign within 1-3 turns (depending on the start date and faction) that spawns the monkey king into your faction alongside his signature weapon, the Ruyi Jingu Bang


ABILITIES

Sun Wukong comes with his own arsenal of unique abilities, inspired from the original novel:



Crushing Blow - area attack, wide range, powerful strike with his staff. However, this attack can also hurt and debuff nearby allies

Shen Wai Shen Fa - summon clones of himself. These clones are much weaker than the original but they can still put up a decent fight.

Stone Skin - Damage resist buff for tanking

Huoyan Jinjing - Visibility buff

Afterimage Strike - melee attack that can only be done alongside the clones. Which one is the real Monkey King?

Great Ape Wukong - "transform" Wukong into a giant version of himself. While near invincible and powerful, it has a time limit. And Wukong will need time to recuperate after the battle
- Note - 3K has no transformation system, so to achieve this, the original Wukong unit will be killed (the skill costs 100% of his HP), and in his place will spawn a custom giant unit that fights with his fists and has his own unique abilities.
- This means that the hero unit Wukong will be guaranteed injured and out of action after using this ability. So while it's OP, the power comes at a cost after the fight.
