if you follow one of the guide in article
you can set OBS CPU usage max to like 60% and get some edge on recording here, can't tell how much it can scramble your recording but from what i seen OBS only peak above 60 for very brief moments

Yeah, OBS does kill performance much more than it used to... But for me the 1% low went from about ~55fps up to a much better value of ~90fps, with 0.1% low going from 20fps to 62fps for me, so perceived performance (meaning smoothness in frame-times) is magnitudes better. Very system specific, but still should show how much it CAN help.

I couldn't measure those myself, cause if I try, it would be pretty random thanks to OBS recording in the background. But yehp, with normal use everything should be more stable with little to no downside

Pretty much, yeah. and improved 0.1 and 1% low as mentioned. according to RTSS logging at least.

can confirm... wdas able to go from 5000 view distance and 4500 shadow distance (other settings identical) to 9000 shadow distance and 9000 view distance with same average framerate and MUCH better 1% and 0.1% low FPS... tho as i have a nvidia GPU, i added in SCARaw's optimization for NVIDIA gpu "mod" into the mix. loadtimes have ssped up tenfold aswell (going my a noobs feel of it, so yeah... amybe not truely 10x, but feels close enough to it xD)
