Divine Intervention

This achievement is obtained upon unlocking any of the hereafter mentioned survivors. In keeping with Hopoo Games' previous two titles, 2013's Risk of Rain and 2019's Risk of Rain 2, Commando and Huntress are unlocked by default. The remaining 13 survivors are unlocked in accordance with the relevant achievement obtention criteria.

Obtention of this achievement permanently unlocks Enforcer. Encountering the bosses referenced in the achievement's description is random, and each has a chance to spawn during Stage 1's teleporter event. This achievement is cumulative, and there is therefore no requirement for players to defeat all three mentioned bosses during a singular run.

Warrior

Obtention of this achievement permanently unlocks Bandit. This achievement requires that the player activate and complete the teleporter event on Stage 3, and unlocks upon progression to the subsequent stage. Doing so ought be a trivial affair, especially when players are mindful of the clock and prioritise activation of the teleporter. Stage 3 alternates between two levels: Ancient Valley (Frozen Tundra), and Sunken Tomb (underwater Catacombs). This achievement is agnostic as to which level the Director selects for Stage 3.

Obtention of this achievement permanently unlocks HAN-D. HAN-D is located on Stage 6, Risk of Rain (UES Contact Light). Towards the left side of the stage, a stockpile of cargo crates, one of which appears grey and slightly damaged, has a chance to spawn. Approach and interact with said crate.

Mechanic

Obtention of this achievement permanently unlocks Engineer. Players are required to purchase a total of 40 drones. The achievement is cumulative across runs, and is agnostic as to the type of drone purchased. Notably, repaired drones are classified as purchases, and therefore count towards this achievement.

Excavation

Obtention of this achievement permanently unlocks Miner. Players are required to locate Miner, who is situated on Magma Barracks (The Core), one of the two possible Stage 4 levels. Upon loading into the stage, travel to the bottom right of the level, whereupon a magma chamber extending offscreen will become visible. Continue into said chamber heading rightwards, and you'll encounter an Elite Elder Lemurian entitled 'The Direseeker'. Upon vanquishment of this foe, Miner is liberated.

The Experiment

Obtention of this achievement permanently unlocks Acrid. Players are required to locate Acrid, who is situated on Sunked Tomb (Underwater Catacombs), one of the three possible Stage 3 levels. Upon loading into the stage, travel to the top right of the level, whereupon a crate will become visible. Interact with said crate to occasion Acrid to emerge, upon vanquishment of whom the achievement is unlocked.

No Flukes

Obtention of this achievement permanently unlocks Mercenary. This achievement simply requires that the player fulfill the survivor unlock requirement for Sniper, Washed Away, a further four times. This achievement is likewise agnostic of difficulty.

Seasoned Wanderer

	Collect 15 Monster Logs.

Obtention of this achievement permanently unlocks Pilot. This achievement requires that the player find and acquire 15 unique Monster Logs, which are occasionally dropped by vanquished monsters, and unlock entries in the player's collection. As Monster Log drops are randomised, there is no effective technique wherewith to farm them. As such, this achievement is obtained organically, through repeated runs.

Anywhere, Everywhere

	Visit 10 unique stages.

Obtention of this achievement permanently unlocks Artificer. A run comprises five stages, and the final level, Risk of Rain (UES Contact Light). Subsequent to completion of each teleporter event, the Director rolls for one of two possible levels; this does not, however, apply to the fifth and sixth stages respectively, the levels of which are consistent in nature. In toto, and excluding the secret level, there are 10 unique stage levels. As such, the player is required to visit each one at least once. As these are randomly selected by the Director, this achievement will be obtained organically, over several runs.

Recycled

	Recycle 6 drones in one playthrough.

Obtention of this achievement permanently unlocks Pilot. This achievement involves utilising a Drone Recycler six times within a singular run. Interacting with the Drone Recycler will destroy one purchased drone, furnishing the player with a random item in return. The most straightforward method to accomplish this feat is to obtain the Drone Repair Kit equipment, which summons a unique drone upon use—said unique drones are compatible with the Drone Recycler interactable. Perform this step, wait for the equipment's cooldown to expire, and repeat.
