CARTER HAS BEEN... CAUGHT!!
ESCAPE Before it's too late. It's not a good idea to REMEMBER everything!

Hospital room:
Grab the HOSPITAL REPORT on the bedside table.
Examine the IV bag and window.
Turn to the left and look at the vent then SPEAK to the SECURITY GUARD at the door, you have to look at the shadowy part of the wall to get the button to show up.
Turn to the left again and click on the seat of the couch to find COPPER COIN.
Turn to the right and open your inventory (Right Click mouse - Y on controller) Use the coin on the vent.

Corridor:
You can look at the door in front of you, behind you, to the right, and the vent above you.
Turn to the left and point at the door at the very end of the hall to move on.

Operating Room:
Look at the table in front of you for a flashback.
Grab the tape recorder at the feet of the body. EXPERIMENT 112
Look at the other two bodies, the knives that were behind the tape recorder, and the door with the green exit sign.
Turn around and grab a nice COLA.
From left to right on the table grab HEBERT WEST'S DIARY (BOOK), HERBERT WEST'S DIARY (PAGE)
Look at the skull. The table to the right of the skull has a tiny drawer in the middle. Look at it to open it.
Grab any item to pick up all three. SET OF KEYS, LEATHER WALLET, METAL PIN.
Grab the RUSTY KEY hidden under the objects you just grabbed and hit the X at the top right corner to close the drawer.
Open your inventory, you're going to use items inside of it, use COLA on RUSTY KEY to get SHINY KEY. USE SHINY KEY on the green exit sign door.

EXIT:
You can look at the door without the exit sign. Click on the exit door to leave.

MANUSCRIPTS, GRIMORES, SCROLLS...
A few ordinary pages... can conceal the greatest of horrors.

Sophie's Office:
Look at wall art, computer, and wall art on the left wall. There's also a small calendar you can look at but if you take too long and the clock chimes you get a voice line instead.
On the desk in front of you left to right grab PAPER, THE ESOTERIC ORDER OF DAGON, THE CULT OF THE SLEEPING GOD.
Walk out the door.

Hallway:
Behind you there are three doors you can look at and Sophie's office you can walk back into.
Facing the wall walk into the office on the left.

Miriam's office:
Speak to Miriam.
Grab the NOTE
Turn around and Leave

Hallway pt 2
Walk to the office on your right.

Carter's office
There are two desks in the room.
Desk by the window: Grab THE ESOTERIC ORDER OF DAGON (yes there is two)
Desk by the door: Grab THE EYE OF AZATHOTH
Wall Shelf: Look at the book on the 2nd shelf the the 3rd. Grab SILVER KEY and DIARY SHEET
Leave the office.

*There's a blank cutscene of a phone call between Sophie and James*

James Osiac: Desperately Seeking Carter
Sadly I can't read what the poster says
Seriously why is it so far away.

Courtyard:
Look at the cars to the left
Turn more to the left and enter the building

Lobby
This area was super confusing for me tbh so I made a lil map, if you want to figure out the layout by yourself go ahead and skip to the spoiler bars.
Look at the floor to left of you. (ooh blood)
On the desk there's a note grab it. ARMITAGE, BOOKS & ANTIQUES
Go left or right.
There is only 3 things to look at until you get to the garage.
Stairs- poster - Overlook- Elevator buttons - Fire- Fire Alarm


GARAGE:
Look at the fire and the pool of blood on the ground to the left.
Grab Carter's Phone to your right on the ground, (it kinda looks like a photo to me lol). DRAWING
Turn to the right again and Leave
Enter the door right in front of you. Its the one with the brick on the ground.
Pull the fire alarm.
Turn around and exit through the wooden door then the door with the red push bars.
There's now a door where the fire was, go inside

Security Office
Look at the screen with the green lighted van. Hit the X when James is finished talking.
To the left there's a silver bar you can look at.
grab the LUMINOL and hit the X (no gun or badge for you)
Leave the office

Garage pt 2
Open your inventory and use the LUMINOL on the blood you looked at earlier.
Follow the trail of blood into the door way.

Christopher Black: The Exclusive
INVESTIGATION, DECEPTION, TRESPASSING...
He will do anything to get "the story"

This area is set up like this

Left Area
Look at the white board to your left with all the pictures. There are several notes with the same name so I added a number to them.
On the desk left to right grab NEWS(1), NOTES, NEWS(2)
Turn and walk to the next area

Middle Area
On the table,left to right, you can look at the photo, then grab NEWS(3), NEWS(4). the last one is above the keyboard.
The Archive is behind you but you don't need to go there yet, if you want to collect the extra notes for the achievement skip to the Archive.
Leave to either the Upper Area to the top right or the Right Area behind you to the left.

Upper Area
If you just move your crosshair to the outside window you'll get a voice line.
On the table grab ROBBERY AT THE CATHEDRAL'S MUSEUM, and SHOCKING DISCOVERY.
Walk to the Right Area or back to the Middle Area.

Right Area
There's two tables, a coffee table and the desks.
Grab off the desk EMERGENCY CALL, PART 1
Grab off the coffee table EMERGENCY CALL, PART 2
Walk to the Upper Area by pointing to the right most side of the yellow room by the exit to the Middle Area or to the Cafe Area

Cafe Area
There are several notes on different tables, starting with the table you're facing as 12 turn COUNTER-clockwise to get the notes in this order.

9: CHURCH DESECRATED IN MU
6: THE FACELESS MAN, PART 1
2: THE FACELESS MAN, PART 2
Walk back to the Middle Area

Middle Area pt 2
You can now grab the photo on the desk to get HENRY ARMITAGE.
Turn around and enter the Archive.

Archive
There are several notes in this area. They're all located on the shelves with the Alphabet Labels, and you must move the shelves by clicking on the black hand-wheels. You must click to move each one individually and the grab icon will not pop up until you have moved the shelf next to it.
Grab the files marked with a * in the table these will only appear after you collected the notes in the Middle and Cafe Area. I'm not sure if the extra entries are required for the note achievement so I add anyways.
Start with ARMITAGE, HENRY for the first entry. Solution:You must find where the entry of the last note you found until you find Henry's real file.

Outside
Look at the door. use SET OF KEYS on the door. (it doesn't fit)
Speak to the intercom, pick whatever you want but saying your name works fastest.
Look at all 3 doors for funsies then use[/ii] SET OF KEYS on the lock of door you first looked at the enter,

Entryway
Look at the mail to your right then the PHOTOS on the wall.
Enter the door on your left.
Grab LAPTOP CHARGER on the table to your left.
Turning left again look at the NEWS on the counter by the fridge.
Leave through the door by the fridge.

Hallway pt 2
Enter the door of the right.

Living Room
Turn around and look at THE SLEEPING GOD on the coffee table.
Turn to the left and look at the TV and LOLICA picture on the shelf above it.
Around the TV and picture are 4 framed photos to look at remember the dates and places.
Turn to your right until you see the desk. (the laptop is dead)
Grab the notes on either side of the laptop. CULT OF THE SLEEPING GOD and METEORITE DAGGER
Don't use that charger just yet so you don't miss two more things. Behind the chair on the gound look at THE MAN IN THE MASK and then on the white end table, a picture you don't zoom in on and a book that triggers a cut scene. IT ALL BEGINS WITH A STORY.
Now you can use that charger on the laptop. The password is on one of the pictures 2013.
Click on that file to get THE DOORS.
Leave through the door on the left.

Hallway pt 3
Enter the Middle door.

Bedroom
There's some not-so-hidden achievements here but first turn around and look at the bookshelf there's WARNING and a book with a voice line.
Turn back around and look at the string instrument for
look at the book on the dresser for
Don't look at it for an ending maybe?
Open the wardrobe and use METAL PIN on the box. The code is on one of the notes you got! 151937#
Grab the PIECES OF THE DOOR and NEW LOCATION.

What dangers will she encounter?

Look to the right and left for the sign for Innsmouth and the symbol of the order.
Go forward for No littering or right for Alleyway

Look poster in front of you and to the left.
Speak to man behind you.

Alleyway (3)
To the right look at drawing on wall
Turn around to Speak the woman and look at the poster.

Churchyard (2)
Look at child
Look at church door and symbol on roof of church
There's another poster here look at it.

Back Alley (5)
Look at sign with lighthouse drawing
Speak to man then Enter bar

Bar
Look at poster
Speak to man
Grab SCREWDRIVER from the bar counter.
Look at bottle on the shelf behind bar, it's green!

Back Alley pt 2
Look at box on wall that was hidden behind Ezequiel and use SCREWDRIVER on it and flip the switch.
Head back into the bar.
Bar pt 2
Take the bottle this time to get WHISKEY BOTTLE
Abscond with your petty theft to the area past lighthouse sign.

Distillery (6)
Look at new symbol
Turn around and look at bottles on table.
Use WHISKEY BOTTLE on and speak to Ezequiel
He gives you HEAVY KEY leave and use it on the fence with the lighthouse sign.

Beach Trail (7)
Look at sign the turn to the left to look at weird green lighthouse.
Walk to light house OR Cliff side via trail in the dirt by the wave sign.

Cliff side
Look down to see door. Code: it's the number's of the areas
Get Go in or Leave

Lighthouse
Speak to man and mention Old Oben to get inside
(Or call the cops and get )

Entryway
Once inside look at the boxes on the ground and the painting on the wall to the left.
Enter the room to the left.

Bedroom
Look at the framed picture and remember the arrows.
Grab the MANUSCRIPTS off the left wall
Go back to the entryway and head through the middle door.

Dinning/Living Room
Turn around to hear a fun radio broadcast when you look at the radio.
To the right of the radio on the wall is a statuette to look at.
On the table is CHTHOTIC REVELATIONS
Head to the right to the kitchen

Kitchen
You can look at the blocked door to the right and to the right of that there's a NOTE on the fridge.
Turn around and leave through the door that isnt blocked.

Back Room
Look at the gold on the floor before the weird tile.
Enter the code from the bedroom into the floor,
up, right, up, right, up, left, up, left, down, left, up, left, up.
Grab STATUE OF DAGON and DIARY

James Oslac: Escape From Z_E
Whos is crazy enough to step into the lion's den.
Will he be able to get Carter out of his predicament?

Rear Parking Lot
Look at the car with the open door and grab LOCK PICKS
Turn to the right and look at the Zotiques sign.
Look down the road to leave

Front Parking Lot
Look to the right at the car then to the left at the other Zotiques sign.
Enter the building

Lobby
Speak to SECURITY GUARD say whatever then turn back around and leave.

Front Parking Lot pt 2
Use lock picks on the car you looked at before and grab ACCESS CARD

Lobby pt 2
Speak once more to the guard and you'll automatically move to the next area.

Hallway
Speak to this guy (his name is Jewell) and say whatever.
Look at the door behind Jewell and to the way you came in to the right. Go in this order
  • Turn around and you can enter the door that was locked for Carter. (Library)
  • Slightly left of the way you came in is a door you can enter (Hospital Room)
  • Down the hall to the ("Operating" Room)
  • To the left of Jewell is the (Breakroom)
Library
Look to the right at the picture of Carter.
Turn around to the desk and grab the scroll THE NAMELESS CITY
There's a drawer you can look at to open to grab HORRIBLE WITHERING OF THE SOUL
Look at the display case to get THE BLACK DOOR MUST BE OPENED.

Hopital Room
Grab the pill bottle to get A BOTTLE OF STRONG PAINKILLERS and exit through the door this time.

"Operating" Room
Look at the bodies on the tables, the arm hanging from the rack, and the anatomy poster behind you.
Grab the yellow COFFEE MUG.
Head over to the (Breakroom)

Breakroom
Turn around and look at the coffee machine then use COFFEE MUG on it.
Open your inventory and combine COFFEE MUG and A BOTTLE OF STRONG PAINKILLERS to get CUP FULL OF COFFEE WITH PILLS
Head back to Jewell

Hallway pt 2
Use CUP FULL OF COFFEE WITH PILLS on Jewel and get automatically moved to the (Museum)

Museum Area
Grab the OLD DAGGER and get

Leave the way Carter did in Chapter 1

Exit
Turn around to meet a new friend.
Exit

Christopher Black: The Forbidden Bookshop
Knowledge is power but i can be deadly.
PREPARE FOR ALL THE NOTES

Entryway
Look to floor to the left at the chest to get CROWBAR.
Grab from the north shelf SHANKARA STONES they're red. On the table is SEDEFKAR SIMULACRUM. On the east shelf DUNE - BENJAMIN JAMES TAYLOR. On the table to the south west THE BLACK POWER - JACKSON ELIAS
Look at the ceiling for weird book display and above the doorway to the west for a map.
Move west.

Computer Area
Look at the computer and light switch to the east and behind you above the door way is some wires.
Click on the shelves to the north east to Move on

Bookshelves
Look at the blood door
Grab to the west a box of matches on the ground MATCHBOOK, book on the right shelf CULTES DES GOULES - D'ERLETTE and look at the ep.
Behind you to the south is a blue book HELTER SKELTER - MORGAN SCHACKMUTH
To the east on the table-shelf is a ELEPHANT HEART and look up for a cool model ship.
Return to the computer.

Computer Area pt 2
Flip the light switch on the wall to the right behind the computer.
Return to the blood door.

Backroom
Use CROWBAR on the bloody locker to the left to get LOOSE DIARY PAGE, NOTE, and BLOOD-STAINED BOOK.
Turn to the left some more and look at the blood on the floor. Then to the right look at the broken camera and grab the MEMORY CARD, then more to the right look at that book shelf with the blood.
Head back to the computer.

Computer Area pt 3
Use MEMORY CARD on computer, watch a fun video.
RETURN TO THE BLOOD DOOR

Backrooms pt 2
Use BLOOD-STAINED BOOK on the bloody shelf.

Secret Room
Turn around for a fun suprise!

Revelation Begin
Will you dare to uncover the mystery?

Forest
Wait a moment, then have a conversation with IDH-YAA then turn around and leave.

Overlook
Look at the door then speak to the intercom say the longest option to enter.

Entryway
Turn to the right for a flashback.
Enter the door to the west

Living Room
Look at the floor by the bookshelf, grab the golden statue to get BUST OF A WOMAN.
Head back and go to the door to the east.

Kitchen
Turn to the right grab the newspaper for NEWS then look at the clay vase then look at the button.
Use the BUST OF A WOMAN on the button revealed.
Head back to the Living Room and enter the bookcase.

Office
Another flash back triggers.
Going counter clock wise from in front of you grab MILESTONES, OBITUARIES, THE AMBROSE CHAMBERS SOCIETY, (look at the doorway) HISTORY OF THE CULT OF THE SLEEPING GOD, COMPASS (trigger flashback), finally THE NAMELESS CITY

Beach
Look at the boat
Turn and leave

Referring to the map from earlier get:
  • Area 5: OARS from the bar's sign.
  • Area 6: CORK from the broken whiskey bottle on the ground
  • Area 4: STAINED HANDKERCHIEF where the weird man was standing

Return to the beach via the Lighthouse sign fence and use the items on the boat. Cloth then cork on the hole. Enter the cave in the cliff side.

Cave
The cave system is kinda weird but if you want to explore and learn a little bit of lore of the cult then feel free to do, if not do this.

From the entrance head right to the square/star symbol
Turn to the right and by the symbol that looks like a sun with an eye there's a park of the wall you can walk to.
Click on the door at the end of the hall.
Use the STATUE OF DAGON on the pedestal to get AMULET.
Use SILVER KEY on the shiny door.

Christopher Black - Blood and Rock Nights
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't after you.

There are several posters on the walls in the bar so I won't list them because you can see them clearly.

Street
Look at the cool art door, down the road to the left, then at the tool box.
Grab HAMMER and GLASS PIPETTE.
Head to the alley to the right.

Alleyway
Look at trash bins then grab CAR BATTERY.
Look at the lock on the door to your right.
Open your inventory and combine GLASS PIPETTE on CAR BATTERY to get GLASS PIPETTE WITH ACID
Use GLASS PIPETTE WITH ACID on the lock
Enter the bar

Bar Front
3 posters.
There's a very hard to see button in between the line of bottles on the bar, press it.
It opened a door on the wall to the left of the bar, go through it.

Bar Middle
3 posters, an art piece, and a map.
Next to the orient express there's a prompt to leave.

Bar Back
3 wall bois
Walk through the door with the red circle sign.

Library
There's a REPORT on an end table to the right, a BOOK next to the laptop on the left, and two REPORT on the table left of the laptop.
LOUD NOISE WARNING for the button on the wall to the left of the tables labeled PARTY MODE.
Look at the lovely art to the left of the button.
There's a spot on the ground next to the first report you can look at, use HAMMER on it.
The code to the cache is on the posters in the middle and back part of the bar. Leave the library to see it in black light.
How to: The letters that glow go in the order of the dates on the posters.
Solution: RIPHC
Get RITUAL - LIFE ABSORPTION, PHOTO, HOUSE OF SOCIETY KEYS.

Entryway
Use the KEYS on the door
Go to the living room and enter the office.

It will end the chapter before you can get the other notes!

Office
Look at the spooky mystery wall
On the table get NEWS x3
On the desk get HISTORY OF THE CULT OF THE SLEEPING GOD.
Now turn around and get THE AMBROSE CHAMBERS SOCIETY

Have a flashback convo with Carter

Face the Darkness
The ruins of an ancient city hold "the door"

Grab Inscription

Here's a map get to the tunnel after you want to look around

Then do it again as James then turn around to get a cutscene.

THE DOOR
Look down for some bodies and up for an unfinished door.
Use the PIECES OF THE DOOR on the unfinished door.

Here either use the HORRIBLE WITHERING OF THE SOUL and get a cut scene. or the WALLET for a different ending

Talk to IDH-YAA

Depending on your run with Sophie will change the endings.

-END OF GAME-
ACHIEVEMENTS
Most of the achievements you get from completing the chapters. You'll get Chatter Box and Miriam Atwright - Librarian, if you talk to everyone and get all the notes. The ones that are easily missed are Explorer, Erich Zann, Rest in Innsmouth, and the bad endings.

Savior: Don't kill Sophie and use the magic scroll.
Martyr: Kill Sophie and use the magic scroll.
Awaken: Doesn't matter if you kill Sophie and use the wallet instead of the scroll. IDH-YAA says Sophie died for me even though she didn't with this ending so unless its a glitch you shouldn't have to kill Sophie.

I followed this guide and got no Chatter Box achievement. Memento also didn't trigger. Useless.
