Gallery: All CG's, Images, Pictures, Characters, Secrets and Endings CH 1&2

Nearly all of the game's beautiful character art and special images.

Since there is no in-game gallery and I haven't found anyone who has collected the art assets from the files, I've manually collected (nearly) all of it. Enjoy.

Use this to recap the story or see if there is something you might have missed!

I have only compressed 1 image here, everything else is as high quality as it can be.

It's in chronological order, but in chapter 2 the different routes are brought to their conclusion, before starting with another one.

I named the events myself, but from the game files I saw that they originally have quite the boring naming schemes (butcher, oath, couch, gun and so on), so you aren't really losing anything.

Well, that's it. Thanks for checking this so-called guide out!

I've consumed a lot of weird and horrifying indie horror content, but this game has a special place in my heart and, in my opinion, truly stands out.
There are good body horror scenes, but the psychological horror of a VERY bad relationship is scarier than any description of cannibalism. The dialogue is so damn well written and consistent and characters play off each other in such a lively fashion.
The art style is bloody terrific and has found it's unique footing, I love the little design touches like characters defying image borders and the grim paper texture on everything. The small details like the Andrew bunny still having it's sweater tag behind it really shows how much care and passion has been put into it.
And even the music is great!
I'd say more but I think that the nearly 430 IMAGES(!) I painstakingly gathered, named, categorized and uploaded one-by-one tells you enough.


I'm a bit worried about the future of this series, but the two chapters so far stand well enough on their own.
Chapter 2 Ending.

Thoughts after Chapter 3 Decay, Part 1

I don't believe I'll be doing chapter 3.

I feel that the series strayed too far from the original vision and the will-they-wont-they plot really isn't doing it for me.
Decay part 1 definitely had its moments, but I feel like it was AS good only 30% of the time, there was a lot of padding and the overall writing has definitely suffered.

I was afraid that the dev radicalized after getting a ♥♥♥♥ ton of hate and bad faith arguments.

It seems like I was correct. I don't believe the ORIGINAL vision was as edgy and sexualised, but now some lines have been crossed that the author can never go back from. Andrew can murder a child and no-one brings it up, it's not what the game cares about.

I still got the unique horrible co-dependant relationship dynamic that I loved, but I also got crappy hollywood failed marriage writing. I still got that claustrophobic tension, but I also got the feeling that the world doesn't exist behind the characters. I still got that amazing art, but It was also spread apart a lot more and had worse presentation.

Chapter 1 and 2 were really special to me

I was angry about the outrage.
The fact that people overlooked toxic relationships, literal murder and cannibalism, and decided that implied sexuality between blood-relatives was the morally outrageous part of the game, really illustrated the whole idiotic nature of the outrage. You CAN use problematic elements to tell a good story, the fact that child murder is now normal in horror games doesn't mean it's morally okay, or that by adding such elements the author now supports child murder.

But now sloppy writing and an irritated developer turned this into something I can't defend. I have no idea where the series can go from this. It seems like most of the fans are happy tho, so maybe that's all that matters.

WAIT WHAT... you manually screenshotted and cropped EVERY illustration in the game?? welp, better get to it... also, i actually tried to extract the images from the files but I think they're encrypted super well because I couldn't manage to open them. I tried with games like Omori and it was super easy. Have lots of screenshots to make, wish me good luck

I know that someone else has gotten atleast some files, Ive seen character portraits with no textboxes.
