Long Gone Days - Achievements, Missions, Tips and Ramblings (missing minimal things i'm fixing)
Bởi SummoningFailed
I’ve been following Long Gone Days since its conception, and I’m happy to help with the achievements, especially since some of them are easy to miss/hard to get :)
I'm hoping to get more people into this game - it's definitely a hidden gem for me!

(30/04 missing 2 achievements I have to replay the game now that i'm back from literally dying lmao )

Hope you love the game the same amount I did!

Intro
Hi! I stumbled upon Long Gone Days for the first time back when only the prologue was available, and I've been following the development ever since. I'm overjoyed that the game finally released in full, and I'd like to share with you my past and present tips to get achievements and missions all in check!

Most of the achievements come naturally with the plot flow, but some of them require some digging around the map, poking some NPCs, or simply saying screw it all and going to bed,
I hope you will love Long Gone Days too!
I’ll see you all in Warsaw.

WARNING: This guide WILL contain spoilers for the game!

(Note: This guide is missing two achievements - I've been dealing with a terminal disease for the last couple of months, but i'm going to get to it now!)
PLOT-RELATED ACHIEVEMENTS (you can't miss these, but it's best to have everything in check)
Following are achievements you don't have to "work for" - they happen as you progress past certain cutscenes, fights, or leaving/entering a location.

HELLO WORLD
This achievement will be unlocked as the story progresses and you are transported to the topside at the start of Day 2. To get it, simply board the train after all the preparations in the Core HQ and watch the following cutscene.

GOOD SAMARITANS
Another simple, story one - Lyn and Ivan will join you after having a quick meal at the house in Kaliningrad.

DISSOLVE
Obliterate Lt. Garreth. Get his ass! And then get the achievement!
Fight-wise, don’t bother trying to paralyze him by shooting at his arms - the chances are so low, and he’s more likely to hit your party with an AOE attack that knocks you the hell out than him actually getting stunned.
Be careful of him causing bleed and worse, BLIND, MY MORTAL ENEMY - have Adair stacked on MP/SP in order to be able to use First Aid.

BONUS:

WELCOME TO KIEL!
This achievement appears automatically after you leave the ferry and land in Germany. I don’t think you’re wanted here, though…

NEWS FLASH!
After Rourke’s first hamburger, Atiye will hang out with you for a little bit. The achievement should appear the moment the dinner is done.

BLACK CAT
After arriving at the hostel in Kiel, pick Lynn to room overnight. You will share an insightful conversation, and introduce Rourke to the wonder of animation. You will also receive a BLACK CAT KEYCHAIN.

INVENTORY CONTROL
Similarly to the above, pick Adair when selecting a roommate for the night. You will spend the evening counting antiseptic wipes, learning medical lore, and becoming more and more emotionally vulnerable. You will also receive MEDIC’S ARMBAND.

TOP CHEF
When looking for a roommate in the hostel, pick Ivan. He will teach you how to make pork cutlets - and if you do well enough, you will not only get the PERFECT PORK CUTLETS but also an achievement that will make you hungry.
If you’ve never cooked and can’t figure out the order while cooking you should:
  • Cover the cutlet in flour, then egg, then crumbs
  • Wait until the oil is a little bit hotter

God that made me hungry.
Here’s my cutlet recipe - with a traditional Polish flavor.

  • Get your cutlets - they can be pork or chicken, I don’t… recommend beef, it cooks weirdly.
  • Beat them with a kitchen hammer, or, if you don’t have one, use a rolling pin - just be careful. Put the cutlet in a clean plastic bag before beating it, so you don't damage and rip the meat too much - it will help you make them nice, pretty, and shapely. You can also ask the workers at the deli/butchers you buy your meat from to beat them for you. They have machines that flatten them down perfectly - though doing it yourself is more rewarding, I suppose.
  • Prepare an egg mixture: use an appropriate amount of eggs for the amount of cutlets you’re frying. I think 1 egg per 3 cutlets is a good ratio, but it depends on the egg size, or the cutlet type even. Add some salt, pepper, sweet paprika, a pinch of garlic, and a pinch of dried basil into the bowl, pour in a little bit of milk (literally a spoon or two, but you can skip this completely), and beat the eggs with the spices until it’s a nice smooth egg soup.
  • Pour some (dried!) bread crumbs, or crushed cornflakes (or Japanese panko!) on a different plate. Make sure you have a bit over what you think will be needed - sometimes the egg makes the remaining clump together, and you have to add some more to the plate.
  • Prepare a plate with flour. Any type you like!
  • Heat up some oil on a deeper pan - it’s better to have more oil than less, since the cutlets, and especially the breadcrumbs will soak some of it up. Have the bottle on the side to top up the amount while cooking. Don’t let the oil burn! Drop a breadcrumb into the pan to check the temperature - if it sizzles gently, go for it.
  • Put the cutlet first into the flour, coat it nicely so it is not wet anymore, then coat it in the egg and roll it in the breadcrumbs. Fry until it is golden brown - be careful not to burn it! Keep the heat medium-low, and check on them often.
  • After they are fried, put them on a plate with a paper towel on the bottom to soak up the excess oil.
  • Smacznego! Make sure to share with others. I once ate too much of them and got sick. University was dark times.

DISSIPATE
To get this achievement, defeat this oddly Danish member of Weber’s security (devs, if he is a reference to what I think he is, I am in your walls).

He dishes out debuffs and will boost his attack with Fanfare.
However, what you need to look out for is Rampage - he will use it after Fanfare and hit all of your team with critical damage with high TKO potential. If you see him boosting, desperately try to stun him, or heal yourself so hard you will survive a nuke.

INCOGNITO
PASCAL MY BELOVED! He will join your team after Benqri’s gang beats the living daylights out of him and Lynn breaks him and Ivan out of the cell. He’s a cool little guy, I need to study him under a microscope.

WILT
Easier said than done - Defeat Sgt. Brianna in front of the Intercontinental Train.

Her base attack is two medium-damage hits one after another - if you hit her with Pascal’s attack-reducing debuff right out of the gate, you might make the start of this fight a little easier on yourself.
Focus fire will damage an ally twice, and inflict them with MARKED, which will cause them to be more likely to be targeted by enemies.
The most annoying part, however, is that she summons drones in waves (max 4), which will relentlessly attack and use AGI UP and ATK UP until you take them down, not letting you focus on Branna. They can also cause PARALYSIS and BLEED - oh, how I missed Rourke’s high damage output in this fight…
FIRE AT WILL will attack all enemies once, but heavily - once again Pascal’s attack-reducing debuff will be your lifeline, especially when the later drones arrive.

WELCOME TO WARSAW
JESZCZE POLSKA NIE ZGINĘŁA KIEDY MY ŻYJEMY!!!
Also known as welcome to my country. Not the proudest place, but its mine, so-
PLOT RELATED ACHIEVEMENTS II (my descriptions were too powerful or maybe it was the cutlet recipe.
BRAVADO
Pick to help Atiye during the production of the material to be projected for distraction. Listen to her worries. Don’t worry, though. She’s going to march on anyway.

LIVING UNDER A ROCK
Pick to help Pascal during the production of the material to be projected for distraction. Hear him out when he tells you about his past. He’s so silly.

MELT
One of two outcomes of that encounter. The worst one, if you ask me, and as you will see in a bit.
Choose the “Do you only value useful people?” option, during in-battle dialogue.

Coyle has stupid accuracy - and his aoe HUNT DOWN will deal critical damage to your whole party, so either use Ivan to bring your defense up, or just heal like you’re about to be killed in every round.
If you managed to get the prototype weapon for Rourke, give him a good ATK UP and go for headshots. If you have an okay build, he should do 250ish damage per round.
But, you know, paralysis is always an option.

REFLECTIONS
The second outcome. This one doesn’t feel that bad, does it?
I hope Rourke and Coyle can become shooting range buddies.

The choices you have to make during the in-battle dialogue are:
  • They gave me a real reason to live
  • You didn’t hit me on purpose

He’s a cool guy, with one of the coolest character designs!

THE AFTERGLOW
Eugene Weisner you ♥♥♥♥♥.
Because he’s a coward when he doesn’t have an army at his extension, he’s going to use a massive turret to fight you. He himself will have high agi - it will be a little hard to hit him with bombs or similar items. Aim for the turret with those who are less likely to hit, and target the man himself with Rourke - it’s good to equip agi+ def+ items, just to make sure you can survive until you hit him.
Though, if you’ve managed your characters well, most of them should be able to hit him. Not every one of them will do substantial damage, unfortunately.
The turret’s base attack is two hits of medium damage.
OBSIDIAN FEATHERING will hit your whole party twice for medium-high damage.
MORRIGAN’S CURSE will lower a single ally’s ATK and AGI stats.

Oh, yeah, and did I mention that he has more than one phase? Cool, cool. Really cool.
He will be joined by two independent turrets for his second phase, each one hitting once for medium damage. He also hits thrice now which is Great.
PRAGMATIC OVERDRIVE will drastically raise his attack. Def up, because it’s gonna HURT.
WILLBENDER will hit one of your allies for critical damage and inflict BLEED.
MORRIGAN’S CURSE (II) will target all of your allies and lower one stat drastically.

Phase 3.
That’s just a man. Finish what you started.

AND ♥♥♥♥ THE CORE RRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAH

FIGHTING FOR A LOST CAUSE
Ayy, the bad ending. Stings, doesn’t it? Doing so much and achieving so little.
All you need to do to get this ending is to kill Coyle. So simple.
Could we have changed anything?

THE ART OF PERSUATION
In order to get this achievement, you need to answer in a very specific way during the boss battle chatter with Lt. Gareth, Sgt. Branna, and Sgt Coyle.

The correct choices are as follows (Thank you to TJP623 for helping out with these!):

Lt. Gareth: 3, 1, 3
Sgt. Branna: ANY, 1, 3
Sgt. Coyle: as in REFLECTIONS - (They gave me a real reason to live/
You didn’t hit me on purpose)
SPECIFIC ACHIEVEMENTS (we do a little walking around)
Now - for these ones you gotta do some walking.
I’ll separate them by area/country, to make it easier to look up.

Note: A lot of achievements are tied to completion of certain quests. To save space, if such a situation occurs I will guide you towards the Quest menu, instead of writing it down twice : )

SERVICE ACADEMY / THE CORE

INNER CORE
In order to get this achievement, you will need to activate and complete the OMINOUS ROOM quest.
First, talk to the Kitchen Clerk in the canteen on floor 7 (all the way to the left of the corridor you walk out into after the meeting). He will give you a CRACKED CARD.

Afterward, go to the Shooting Range on the other side of the corridor, where you can talk to the man behind the counter. He will offer to fix the card for you, revealing that it is in fact an ELEVATOR CARD. You can now access a new floor when walking into the HQ Elevator.

Choose the Bottom Floor option in the menu that will pop up.

You should get the achievement the moment the doors close. Enjoy the oddly terrifying baby lore.

TECH SUPPORT
Connected to the INNER CORE achievement, you can receive this one relatively quickly. After walking into the baby room, open the chest in the middle of the room.

Hand the found document to the Weapons Specialist at the shooting range, and he will comment on how rare this document is, but he won’t ask any more questions and simply upgrade your gun for you.

Enjoy!

KALININGRAD OBLAST / THE SMALL OUTPOST

FIRST AID DELIVERY
To obtain this achievement, first speak to the medic in the middle-right part of the Small Outpost map. She will ask you to help her with delivery of FIRST AID KITS which were misplaced during departure. Accept her plea to start the quest with the same name as the achievement.

Your first FIRST AID KIT will go to a soldier who stands in front of the abandoned house (if you completed the UNDERGROUND RUMORS quest, it’s the same house).

The second FIRST AID KIT belongs to the soldier in the upper part of the Small Outpost map, to the left as you enter from the bottom.

The last FIRST AID KIT goes to the soldier on the opposide side of the last one. Be careful though, if you go too much north, you may trigger a story cutscene that cuts off your access to the rest of the quest.

Return to the lady from the beginning. She will thank you for your help, and you will receive the achievement and quest completion marker

CAN’T HEAR YOU!

Semi-story achievement. When questioned by the sergeant about the health status of Rourke after his mental breakdown, simply pretend not to hear him and don't reply. Iconic.

LOST RAVEN
You can get this achievement during the SECRET CAMPSITES quest (see below). Simply listen to the radio transmission in its entirety, and the, rather sad, achievement, should unlock. Below is the radio in question. I wonder if we will ever find out what happened to her…?

KALININGRAD // THE CITY

NEWSPAPER COLLECTOR
This is a long-term collection-based achievement. In cities across Europe, you will find NEWSPAPER PAGES that you will have to collect and translate. Collect eight pages (full Russian and German newspapers) to obtain this achievement.
The location of the pages is detailed in the two BREAKING NEWS! Questlines below.

HIDDEN IN PLAIN SIGHT
After entering the city, right after stealing some clothes (so sorry), you will bump into an incredibly distressed man who will talk to you in frantic Russian. He eventually realizes you can’t understand him, and he will leave, dejected. On the way out, he drops a letter.

After meeting Ivan and Lynn, and after triggering the unrest event outside of Ivan’s house, you can walk out and back in, which allows you to talk to Ivan in his room. He will gladly translate the letter for you.

If you ask Ivan to translate it despite his discomfort, you will obtain the achievement, and Ivan will, understandably, lose morale.

It’s not a happy letter.

VICTIMLESS CRIME
Simply enough, take the med kit from the shelf of the looted Astromart (left from Ivan’s home).
I hope you feel good about yourself.

QUOTIDIAN ANGEL
Rescue all the dogs and cats in the Kaliningrad map. Detailed instructions and locations in the quest page for “ANIMAL RESCUE” are below.

KIEL // GERMANY

GLOSSOPHOBIA
You can obtain this achievement during the WHAT CAN YOU DO? questline. The guide for that is below. Just remember to make a complete fool out of yourself. A clown even. Don’t talk about the war at all. Live out your worst high school nightmare.

OVERTIME
You will receive this achievement upon completing the PAINT THE TOWN quest. Guide for the quest below.

WHY WOULDN’T YOU?
All you have to do is not to pet the dog during the DOG TAGS quest (guide below). I know it’s hard. You can do it. I believe in you.

FIRST COME, FIST SERVED
Punch the guy harassing the homeless man in the Industrial Zone. It’s not the right choice though. Violence breeds violence.
SPECIFIC ACHIEVEMENT (we're still walkin')
PANDORA
This is an alternative storyline achievement. If, in the NSB office, during the siege to rescue Zoe, you decide to cooperate with Weber and leave him the tape, he will tell you that you may leave, but he will need you later. In your quest menu, a new tab will pop up: NSB.

After leaving CYNGUS’ hiding spot and attempting to leave the Industrial District, you will be intercepted by Matthias. He will blackmail you (as always), and tell you that Weber requires you to break into his accountant’s office and destroy his PC using the provided USB STICK. The office in question is the one to the right of the TV Station building - until this moment it was always locked.

You don’t have to do this in order to progress with the main plot, but in order to get this achievement, you sadly do have to do this. You will be given the option to destroy the data or back it up on Atiye’s disc. It doesn’t matter if you back it up, or destroy it right away. Zoe won’t do anything about the files you give her, and you will end up in the same place. Head back to Weber’s office to get a cool coat. Wow. All this for a coat. It has good stats but… Was it worth it?

Feel free to reload your save to absolutely kick his ass now. I don’t judge - I did the same.

ALL ROADS
Surprise! Leonid’s not gone forever after the Kaliningrad stage - he has holed up in the Abandoned Factory and he is willing to upgrade your weapons if you have a blueprint. To get this achievement simply speak to him for the first time - he will become available after your raid on the NSB HQ.

WARSAW // POLAND

INTRUDER ALERT
In the Warsaw logistics facility, you will be faced with a numerical lock on the control room door. Rourke will try to Einstein his way inside, but Pascal will present him with a better option. After the cutscene ends, keep interacting with the lock. After all, who knows - you just might get it.

MEMORIES
After chatting with Hanna’s parents at night, you can enter Sylwia’s room in the morning. Inspect the big photo on the wall, and discover what hair dye is.

PROMISED LAND
Have a chat with Lynn over protein shakes. You receive this achievement after finishing the PROTEIN SHAKE questline in Warsaw.

PAWS AND CLAWS
During the same timeframe as the achievement above, speak to Adair who will be in the attic. He’ll ask you for help because his spare pair of gloves has gone missing. It will trigger the THIEVES LIKE US quest, the guide for which is below. Complete it to get the achievement and some medical goodies!

IMPROMPTU
You can receive this achievement by completing the JAMMING quest, the guide for which is below. It’s a heartwarming one. A good mental break from sadness.

OUTSIDER ART
Complete the DRAWING THE LINE quest, triggered after the creation session at Daniel’s studio. Guide below.

QUALITY ASSURANCE
This achievement comes with a prize - a pretty powerful prototype rifle for Rourke. To obtain it, you must first pick up three keys, which you will find in the casino in Kiel, each representing a casino related item - they will drop from the roulette machines in the area where you connect and disconnect cables to solve a puzzle. Find coins with the same colour as the slot machine you want to use, and click on the machine to use them. What luck! Jackpot!

You will need these keys to open hidden and locked entrances around Warsaw - you need to have all three to complete this quest, so make sure you take your time in the Casino.

With the cherry key, you will be able to open up a secret entrance in the Warsaw Facility Basement, and beyond it you will find a chest with ⅓ of the rifle and a note about the prototype’s existence.

The second piece you will find in the backrooms of the Astromart you escape through while running away from the office building you projected your propaganda from. You’ll pick up a basement/backroom key, use it on this door, and there will be a chest in the back with the second part.

The last part of the rifle will be in the HQ Security Maintenance B. After pressing a combination of buttons that represent those over the doorway shown, you will be let through and you will be able to collect the last piece.

After that, Rourke will assemble the rifle and you’ll get your achievement!
MISSING SPECIFIC ACHIEVEMENTS
Here's the three achievement's that are missing from this guide, and that I need to renconfirm - but in case you want to stumble in the dark a little while I work, here are my ideas on what they could be.

SLEEPLESS
Go right to bed
Possibly low morale/health - Hanna’s house, night 1
Might be RNG?

TICKET TO NOWHERE
Get scammed
This one I know for sure but didn't trigger this time.
You have to have low morale and speak to the Helpful Woman in the Kiel residential district. She will tell you that she knows someone who will sell us tickets to Poland, and to meet her later in an alley.
If we go there despite Lynn's warnings we get the achievement, and we get jumped like we're in a big UK city.

INSOMNIA
Can’t sleep
Possible low health/morale - Hanna’s house night 1? 2?
Might be RNG
QUEST SOLUTIONS (long descriptions incoming)
OMINOUS ROOM (THE CORE ACADEMY DAY 1)

See the “INNER CORE” Achievement guide above.

INSPIRATION (THE CORE ACADEMY DAY 1)

> Talk to the guy at the shooting range, the one by the service desk. He’ll gush about Sgt. Brianna, and you’ll be done.

UNDERGROUND RUMORS (KALININGRAD - THE SMALL OUTPOST)

>Talk to the lady next to the abandoned house to trigger
> Speak to the lady at the lower part of the map, next to the covered corpse - she will delegate the task of searching the house to you.
> Enter the house, check the surroundings, and push the bookshelf to the side to reveal a hidden passage.
> Enter the passage, loot the boxes (optional), and leave the house.

FIRST AID DELIVERY (KALININGRAD - THE SMALL OUTPOST)

See the “FIRST AID DELIVERY” achievement guide above.

THE HUNGRY SOLDIER (KALININGRAD - THE SMALL OUTPOST, DAY)

After you have a little sleep in the nice house that definitely doesn’t belong to a dead person, you can talk to this soldier at the bottom of the Small Outpost map.

She will ask you for BERRIES, as she’s craving sweets (felt), and if you have it in your bag, you have an option to provide it. She will thank you. Then she will ask you for an apple. Again, if you have it in your bag, you have an option to give it to her. She will rejoice at a fruity lunch, bumping up Adair and Rourke’s morale.
Quest complete!

MEDICINAL HERBS (KALININGRAD, OUTSIDE OF THE OUTPOST)

If you pick up a pinkish flower next to the pond right after exiting The Small Outpost, Adair will get excited and tell you that it’s an antiseptic. He will ask you to pick 4 more in order to make a concoction.
1st flower (the quest trigger) (i already picked it by the time of the screenshot sorry)

2nd flower

This is right next to the plank bridge btw bad screenshot sorry
Third location - right to the right of the abandoned shack.

Fourth location - chilling behind the rather easy stone moving puzzle in the bottom of the third forest map.

Last flower! It’s on the cliff you need to climb to get to the secret campsite for the SECRET CAMPSITES quest.

Adair happily extracts the oil from the flowers and makes some good medicine. Morale goes up, and the quest is done!

SECRET CAMPSITES (KALININGRAD - FOREST)

This quest is available to you the moment you enter the Outside of the Outpost area - it will be unlocked in your Quest menu. Following the plot, you will eventually stumble upon this glorious shack. Enter it and go to the left - the game will prompt you to remove a board from the wall, revealing a keypad.

Before you can be smart and enter something as genius as 69420, Adair stops you and says that you shouldn’t enter random numbers because he doesn’t know how to have fun. So you continue on, keeping the shack in the back of your mind.
In the third Forest area, you will find a ladder that you should climb to the top of the cliff. To your left, you will find a rather obvious path that leads deeper into the forest, and to a very curious location.

It’s a camp! Look around a little, though the time is ticking. When you’re done sightseeing, interact with the radio on the top right, and listen to a soldier’s unwilling podcast.

Write down the numbers you hear somewhere - or just keep this tab open on the other screen. The soldier will mention the number 07734, which will be the code to the shack safe. Go back there and get your goodies by putting in the right digits.
Oh, and you just got the LOST RAVEN achievement! That’s really cool.

ANOTHER MAN’S TREASURE (KALININGRAD - CHURCH)

To trigger the start of the questline, speak to the distressed mother in the Church.

She begs you to help her obtain medicine for her sick son and points you towards a local pharmacy near the ferry loading point. She adds that the man at the pharmacy is not the kindest of the bunch, but it’s better to try than not to try, and she sends you off on your way.

When you arrive at the pharmacy, you have to persuade the man to let you in. As always, money speaks, and he will allow you inside at the promise of a little extra cash.

From here you have branching choices - you can trade for the medicine, and offer him curatives, equipment, or a grenade. I went with equipment - he ended up requesting a helmet I had to fetch from the trash bin we left it in at the start of the chapter. He takes it and shoos the party out of the store.

Off-screen, he investigates the helmet, and notices that it belongs to the Polish army… Oops…

We go back to the church and hand the woman her medicine. She thanks us profusely, and we receive the little boy’s thanks, a plastic toy soldier, and a big boost to our morale.

BREAKING NEWS (KALININGRAD - IVAN’S HOUSE, OTHERS)

Simple enough, collect all pieces of newspaper scattered around Kaliningrad. You can find them in:

  • Ivan’s house: table
  • Gleb’s house: table (Ivan’s neighbor)
  • Leonid’s abode - on the cupboard
  • Town’s South Side - next to the electricity box
  • Inside of the Bar - on the right side of the bar

Once you collect all of the pages, the completed thing will appear in Rourke’s NOTES.
QUEST SOLUTIONS II (more walking, more talking)
FOR THE STRAYS (KALININGRAD - STREETS)

To start this quest, speak to the lady petting the cat in the southern part of the first Kaliningrad area. She will ask you to round up any animals you may see in the chaotic city. Bring them back to her after picking them up, to net yourself the QUOTIDIAN ANGEL achievement and the quest completion.

Pets locations - they move sometimes so might not be 100 % the same

(to the left of the church)

After picking up all of them, simply head back to the lady, and she will reward you with a LUCKY AMULET. You will also obtain the QUOTIDIAN ANGEL achievement.

COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWN (KALININGRAD - ENTRANCE, IVAN’S HOUSE)

Closely tied with the HIDDEN IN PLAIN SIGHT achievement, see guide above.

THE LOST GIRL (KALININGRAD, LOWER RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT)

To trigger the start of the quest, speak to this distraught woman in front of her house in the southern part of the first Kaliningrad area. She will flag down Ivan, and tell him that she can’t find her daughter. You, of course, volunteer to help look for her.

You will find Mila at the ferry boarding point - she’s the one in the blue dress and golden hair. She will say that she needs to find her dad and run away again.
You will find her again in front of the fountain at the square.

After a rather depressing scene, she goes to the river, to wait for her dad. Follow.
You stumble across a scene that is even more depressing, especially for our boy Rourke who comes to a horrifying realization. This man needs therapy. He probably won’t get it, considering the circumstances. Head back to Mila’s house.

You will receive a LEATHER USHANKA from Mila’s mother, and a lifetime of guilt.

STAY TOGETHER (KALININGRAD - GLEB’S HOUSE)

Upon entering the house of Ivan’s neighbor, Gleb, he will engage in a short conversation with you. He will end up asking you to find his mother who wandered off to buy apples at the Fruit and Vegetables Stand in the Square. Agree, and you will trigger the start of the quest.
Head to the Fruit Stand and speak to the man in charge. He will inform you that the old lady was there a moment ago, but she went to the church to donate food to people in need.

Head to the Church next. The man next to the food donation pile will tell you that the lady likely went to her own home by the river - the same one you woke up next to, and stole clothes from. Awkward…
You have no choice but to go, so you go to the place you first sought refuge from.
When you arrive, you can go straight in - the door is unlocked this time. Gleb’s mother is inside and seems blissfully unaware of the unrest surrounding the city. She asks you to pack a couple of things to go, and you will be brought to Gleb’s house automatically after speaking to her again.

If you speak to Gleb’s mom after the quest ends, she will gift you eight apples.

REPLENISHMENT (KALININGRAD BATTLE STAGE, NIGHT)

When approaching the gate to the residential district, talk to the two fighters by the burning barrel. They will share their woes for a moment before asking if you would be so kind as to provide them with supplies. If you oblige, you will complete the quest. The reward is a hard hat. Stylish!

DOG TAGS (KIEL - NSB BUILDING EXTERIOR)

On the side of the NSB building, during the day, you will find a poster regarding a lost dog. Rourke will jot down the number.
You will stumble upon the dog in question in the industrial zone, under the Weber poster.

If you DON’T pet the dog, you will get the achievement WHY WOULDN’T YOU?
No matter what you choose, the quest will finish in the same way. The team will gather around the dog, ponder about the meaning of dog, and eventually, Atiye will call the owner. They will pick up their dog and you will get some cookies and a good feeling.

ENCRYPTED

While infiltrating the NSB HQ at night, you will come across a password-protected computer. Later on, after opening an office with a keycard, you can also check a pinboard to the side of the room. It will give you a password for the PC in question.

Go back to the main office and use the password. You will be greeted with a very unpleasant email about a very familiar woman, and a quest completion notice.
QUEST SOLUTIONS III (as history tells the third parts are always the best ones)
THE TICKETS - KIEL, RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT

This is a quest with very specific requirement - you have to do it during the day, and you have to have LOW MORALE. Talk to Helpful Woman in the residential district. She will take pity on your story and tell you that she has a friend who can get you tickets to Poland. She tells you to meet them in an suspicious alleyway later.

Lynn has her doubts, but Rourke is way too naive for his own good, and he proceeds to get jumped in an alleyway.

At the end of the day, the only thing he gained was humiliation.

ANOTHER PLACE AND TIME (KIEL - INDUSTRIAL ZONE)

After you first visit the industrial zone, you can speak to the young homeless man again. You ask if you can do anything for him in return for his help, and he states cheerfully that just getting to talk to us is enough. He asks to visit if we have time later.

Rourke discovers homelessness.

If you return to the area during the night, you will find the man being harassed by an NSB member. You can intervene, and either seek a peaceful solution, or straight up sock the aggressor.

The latter is the worse choice - the young man gets upset that you used violence and now the party might be after him even more.
The earlier will result in Atiye scaring the man away using her status as a journalist. The man thanks you for settling it peacefully and you talk for a moment about his life.

However, if you knock the guy out, you will get the FIRST COME FIST SERVED achievement. Something for something, am I right?

BREAKING NEWS PART 2 (KIEL - WHOLE CITY)

As previously, collect all pages of the scattered newspaper. Atiye will translate the article for you.
You will find the pages in the following locations.

  • Restaurant Patio, behind the bus stop - on the table
  • To the right of the Astromart, on the bench
  • To the left of the NSB building, on the bench next to the parking lot

It’s just three this time. Saves you some time!

WHAT CAN YOU DO? (KIEL - NEXT TO THE SUBWAY ENTRANCE, DAY)

Day exclusive event - the man next to the Pharmacy will ask you if you’d like to help in organizing an event to welcome refugees from Kaliningrad. If you say yes, the event will be triggered.
He will first ask you to give out four flyers. You don’t have to leave the area - all the people interested will be gathered around you. The lady in the yellow cardigan, the boy at the top of the stairs, the girl at the patio, and the worried man in the hoodie will take your flyers.
Once you return, the man will thank you, and invite you to see the event. Agree to proceed with the quest.
The same man will ask you to speak on the stage - here you have a chance to gain the GLOSSOPHOBIA achievement. Just mess up completely - forget how to speak English, even.
If you do not want to make yourself a laughingstock, here are the options you should choose:

  • I feel a great deal of guilt and sorrow.
  • I felt like I needed to do something. I can't let them die.
  • That's why, even now, we have to keep fighting.

Be careful - if you choose even one response wrongly, the speech will be a bust, I learned that the hard way. If you do everything right, though, your whole team will receive a healthy heap of motivation!

LOST KEYS - NIGHTTIME DISTRICT, KIEL

After unlocking the Nighttime District, you will be able to hear a conversation between two men in an alley to the right from the entrance of the area.

One of them will wail about losing keys to a certain apartment, and the other will be thinking about something completely different. The man tries to explain to his friend that if he doesn’t find the keys, he will be done for. He insinuates that the keys might have fallen into the SEWERS.
Time to get stinky.

Enter the sewers via the entrance provided to you by Cyngus.
The key will be on the bottom left from where you entered - I picked up the key before taking a screenshot so I’m providing the best description of the key I can.

From here, you have two choices. You can go to the apartment and see what the guy is hiding, or you can be a good human being (?) and give the key right back to the man.

If you’re nosy like me, go to the City Center, and enter Zoe’s apartment building. The key will unlock the door to apartment 301, but it will break the moment you try to turn it, and you will lose the item. That ends the quest - pick up any goodies you find inside and be on your way.

If you want to be nice, talk to the man. He will thank you, and tell you that he will repay you somehow. The quest is over. You feel good about yourself.

PAINT THE TOWN (KIEL - ROTER HERING)

Like taking photos? You should! This quest starts in Roter Hering, on the right side of the restaurant. There, you can find a distressed journalist, lamenting over the existence of copyright. They will ask you to take photos of Kiel’s street art - if you accept, the quest will start, and you will temporarily receive a CAMERA.

You will find “Woman: Upside Down” in the Residential Area.

“The Party - or another social event which I cannot name” is found in the alley below the NSB headquarters.

Lastly, “The Green Bird” will be waiting for you at the Industrial Zone. He’s pretty cool.

When you have it all, return to the restaurant and speak to the journalist. You will receive a LOOSE HOODIE and the OVERTIME achievement! Wowie!

PROTEIN SHAKES (WARSAW - HANNA’S HOUSE, MORNING)

When wandering around the logistics warehouse in Warsaw, you will stumble upon a bag of protein powder. Rourke will keep it to mix up later, and the quest starts.

Later, in the late morning at Hanna’s house, speak to Lynn, who will be standing by the stove.
You share a sweet moment with Lynn and get the PROMISED LAND achievement.

KALEIDOSCOPE (WARSAW - HANNA’S HOUSE, MORNING)

To trigger this quest, you need to pick up a small present on the dresser in front of the exit from Hanna’s home. I forgot to take a screenshot again, but it’s about here.

Find a light blue building that Hanna described, and enter, then head to her apartment.

She will admit to you that due to what she sees on social media, she has felt anxious about coming outside recently. Hanna and Rourke convince her to take a walk, and you head to the playground in the Southern Area of Warsaw. She will vent to you about being frustrated with her friends online not sharing news about unrest in Poland. You can pick one of your party members to talk her through it. Ivan is the correct choice, but picking Atiye or Pascal is not going to ruin anything, so feel free to see their fluff text as well.

At the end, Ivan will receive a RAINBOW WRISTBAND, and you will feel really numb as a Polish person. Or not at all, if you’re from anywhere else.
QUEST SOLUTIONS IV (my new favourite franchise)
THIEVES LIKE US (WARSAW - HANNA’S HOUSE, MORNING

Speak to Adair in the morning after the talk with Hanna’s parents, and he will tell you that his gloves have gone missing. It will be shortly revealed that the thief is a cat and that he’s heading towards the shed outside. Follow. The cat will escape despite Rourke’s sweet words, but Adair will find some magic herbs, so who really won in the end?

JAMMING (WARSAW - SOUTH AREA WARSAW)

In the South Area of Warsaw, enter the suspicious-looking jazz club and follow the light. There’s nothing special to do in this one - go towards the light, and enjoy the moment of serenity.

DRAWING THE LINE

During your search for supplies after getting the medicine, you will get access to Daniel’s Atelier. He will mention during a story event that he needs help with something, and after a certain cutscene is done you can walk right back inside and talk to him to trigger the quest. He will ask you to cover Core propaganda posters with his own prints, and hands you four copies to work with.
First print goes up in Central Plaza

Second is also in Central Plaza, but it’s in an area where you have to climb the ladder to get on top of the scaffolding

Third goes next to Aleksander’s house.

Hanna informs you that the last poster goes up on the building next to her apartament, the same one that we went to deliver medicine to. When you arrive there, you realize that the last sheet Daniel provided you was a blank sheet, and Rourke commits an act of creation - look at him go. He’s so talented.

THOUGHTS AND BONUSES
I hope you enjoyed my guide! I definitely had a lot of fun making it, and having to look much closer at the game as a whole made me appreciate the characters and the story that much more. I can't say I'm hoping for a sequel - after all, everything has been wrapped up cleanly, but I will have that craving in the back of my mind; maybe a silly DLC? Who knows!

Serenity Forge please hire me I need gamedev experience to graduate college and Poland is sooo dry in hiring companies I can do your PL qc /hj

Anyways, I hope you enjoy Long Gone Days!

I leave you with two greatest discoveries of my re-playthrough.

Continuing with the comment below.
For the INSOMNIA(Can’t sleep) achievement.

Continue playing without being distracted by additional missions. Help Webber, destroy the flash drive (hurt yourself as much as possible. Rourke suffers and we suffer with him).

To further lower morale, run into trouble and beat the man who is pestering the homeless man.

Once in Warsaw, do not perform side missions! No positive emotions! One is possible, in a conversation with Atia/Pascal but this is according to the plot.
The achievement INSOMNIA for the second night in Hanna's house is yours.

And an achievement from me personally: "Rourke's Depression" :lgdPalm:
Congratulations, you have collected all saddest achievements!

Hi! :LoveFlorence:
I started a new game, didn't complete any tasks, responded to characters as rudely as possible, didn't save a single person in Kaliningrad, Rourke shot Lt. Gareth. All the characters communicate tensely with Rourke.
In Germany(Kiel), we also do not complete the tasks, we meet with Atia, we do not go to the hostel right away, instead we go to the girl at the graffiti. We choose "Yes" and, ignoring Lynn's concerns, we complete the task with the ticket. The achievement TICKET TO NOWHERE (Get scammed) is yours.
Then we go to sleep, together with Ader. And we get a cut-scene and an achievement SLEEPLESS (Go right to bed)

The dialogues change to very aggressive and it is very painful for me to play this. And Rourke is broken... [just like me (╥_╥)]But I have been following the game since 2018 and I love it very much.

Thank you very much for the guide :з

Quality Assurance seems to require a final thing to complete? The final door in the HQ has a Diamond shape on it that doesn't match any of the keys I remember from the slot machines?

Soooo....anyone wanna share how to get those last three achievements?
Tanrice 31 Thg01, 2024 @ 10:07am
It seems impossible or very hard to get some achievement since it is impossible to reduce moral, which was the cost to cast skills in legacy version

Also I unfortunately forgot the specifics but all of the Quality Assurance quest keys come from gambling machines in the wiring puzzle area, you need to find colored coins and insert them into appropriate gambling machines, getting keys in exchange. At least one requires rewiring power to it to work.
