About
The PC version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas lacks many graphical effects and content that are present in the original game released for Playstation 2. This is due to bugs and creative decisions by Rockstar Games.

Enhanced Edition is a pack of mods that aims to bring to GTA San Andreas PC all this missing content present in the PS2 version, in addition to bringing the improvements present in the Xbox and mobile version, correction of compatibility problems with current operating systems, adds support for controller with vibration and more.

Unlike other versions found on the internet, this version contains even more mods and all of them are updated so they are mods that bring more improvements, are more optimized and are bug free.

There are several incredible mods for GTA San Andreas that improve the game in different aspects, but in this pack of mods I decided to only choose mods that bring improvements equal to those made by Rockstar in each version of GTA San Andreas (Xbox and Mobile). Some of these improvements are reimagined to be faithful to the PS2 version of the game.

There are some exceptions that are few mods that bring quality of life features, if you don't want them you can remove them from your game. I will teach you how later in the guide.

Sorry the guide is simple, I'm not used to writing guides

But If you found this guide helpful, please consider leaving a like.

The Introduction
The Introduction is a short film, created with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas' video engine, and serves as a prequel to GTA San Andreas that shows the events that happen prior to the events of the game. It was available with the American PlayStation 2 Special Edition of GTA San Andreas and the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas: Official Soundtrack compilation. It is set in 1992, and ends directly at the beginning of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, with Sweet Johnson informing his brother, Carl Johnson, over telephone that their mother, Beverly, is dead.

The video can be watched and freely downloaded on Rockstar Games' official website in .wmv or Quicktime format, or on their official YouTube account.

Settings
SkyGFX presets settings: The SkyGFX graphical mod has three standard presets: PS2, PC and Mobile. You can switch between them in-game by pressing the F10 key, but you can customize them to your liking. To customize them, access the root folder of your GTA San Andreas, access the modloader/Fixes/SkyGfx folders and open with notepad the skygfx.ini file regarding the preset you want to customize: skygfx1.ini = PS2 preset, skygfx2.ini = PC preset and skygfx3.ini = Mobile preset. Here are some customization suggestions:

Select car reflections: Press Ctrl+F, type "vehiclePipe" (without the quotes) and click "Find Next". Notepad will select the text "vehiclePipe". Next to the "vehiclePipe=" will be written the type of vehicle reflection used by the preset. If you want to use PS2 reflections, just delete what's after the "vehiclePipe=" and write "PS2" (without the quotes). If you want to use Mobile reflections, just delete what's after the "vehiclePipe=" and write "Mobile" instead., Press Ctrl+S to save changes.

Delete the number 1 next to "stencilShadows" (be careful not to delete anything else) and then type the number 0, Press Ctrl+S to save changes.

PS2 Blur: Press Ctrl+F, type "blurLeft" (without quotes) and click "Find Next". Notepad will select the text "blurLeft". By default, the number next to the text "blurLeft" will be 0. Delete the number 0 next to "blurLeft" (be careful not to delete anything else) and then type the number 8.

Press Ctrl+F, type "blurTop" (without quotes) and click "Find Next". Notepad will select the text "blurTop". By default, the number next to the text "blurTop" will be 0. Delete the number 0 next to "blurTop" (be careful not to delete anything else) and then type the number 8.

Press Ctrl+F, type "blurRight" (without quotes) and click "Find Next". Notepad will select the text "blurRight". By default, the number next to the text "blurRight" will be 0. Delete the number 0 next to "blurRight" (be careful not to delete anything else) and then type the number 8.

Press Ctrl+F, type "blurBottom" (without quotes) and click "Find Next". Notepad will select the text "blurBottom". By default, the number next to the text "blurBottom" will be 0. Delete the number 0 next to "blurBottom" (be careful not to delete anything else) and then type the number 8.

Press Ctrl+S to save changes.

SkyGFX settings:

Skygfx Enb Series compatible: Access the root folder of your GTA San Andreas and then access the folders: modloader\Fixes\SkyGfx\.settings\(enb series compatible). Copy the file "skygfx1.ini" and paste it into the directory: Grand Theft Auto San Andreas\modloader\Fixes\SkyGfx\

If you want to revert these settings just access the directory: Grand Theft Auto San Andreas\modloader\Fixes\SkyGfx\.settings\skygfx.ini backup
copy the file "skygfx1.ini", "skygfx2.ini", "skygfx3.ini" and paste it into the Grand Theft Auto San Andreas\modloader\Fixes\SkyGfx\ directory confirming the replacement.
Warnings
Attention: It is recommended to activate the frame limiter in the game's graphics settings which will limit the fps to 60 because the game above 60 fps causes several bugs in your game.

Attention again: Now the saves, video settings, control settings and etc are saved in the game folder, inside the "userfiles" folder.

Attention once again: Inside the root folder of the game there is a .txt file called Mods, there is a list of each mod that is installed and in which folders they are located.

Attention for the last time: If you have problems with the game or if the download link is broken, please use the guide's comments to report it.
Updates
I plan to update the mod pack if any mods that are part of this mod pack are updated. The description of the guide states the last update the mod pack received. Inside your game folder there is a file called Mods.txt that tells you the date your mod package was updated. If the mod pack you have is outdated you can update it but I recommend that to update it you redo the procedure of uninstalling the game to avoid errors or conflicts occurring. But this time you will make a backup of the userfiles folder located inside the root folder of your game as this will contain your configuration files, saves and photos taken with the game's camera. After making this backup, you can uninstall the game, delete its folder, download the game again and install the mod pack following all the steps taught in this guide.

@LeoShaddz I found another way to replicate the freeze at black screen problem when reloading a save. This too happens when you reload a save during a mission (in-game). The solution is again to restart/sign out of the computer ala ctrl-alt-del, can't get back to the desktop home screen nor access other apps and taskbar as the game is constantly displayed at the forefront.

Won't let me launch the game. Says "invalid platform"....... when I click start in Steam. Followed all instructions. Fresh download, user files deleted. Downgraded the game. Unzipped the enhanced folder. Copied and pasted.

When I use the Ezekiels NextGen Weapon Mods it loads the Weapons but there are all in white. Any idea for a solution ?

If anyone has the issue that after saving the save file is immediately corrupted, then what helped me was deleting the PortableGTA mod by deleting the "portablegta.asi" file in the "scripts" folder. This might be Linux/Steam Deck exclusive issue.
You can then find the user files in the "steamapps/compatdata/12120/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/GTA San Andreas User Files/" folder.
