The Frontiersman's guide to getting the pink palette & more

This is a fairly short guide, but ill cover the quest breakdown for floor 8 as its kinda messy in your quest log, the item to unlock the color pink, and the gender changing flask.

Quest breakdown

I this is simply the breakdown not the guide to the quests. if you want the guide to the quests I strongly recommend viewing the youtube videos made by UNG_God 18+. start with video 11, I recommend starting at roughly 3:10 as this is where he starts getting the items to complete the fetch quest line. and then move onto video 12 if you still need help

Inside floor 8 your quest guide will look something like this on your first go...


once you understand whats going on its so much easier than what it looks like. there is one longish fetch quest line where you trade items. and a few other quests that all happen at the same time. Some of the quests are mostly unrelated within the quest line.

• The most unrelated quest is the medical supplies which you get from fighting mobs, good quests rewards
  
• the fetch quest line: key -> flask -> hinge -> comb -> flower -> pirate
  
• you get the key from the mole's house and by interacting with the tiny golden apple creature, this is where you get the mining quest, and its located just north west of the pirate's
  
• after you get the pirate youre able to finish the quests for the cloud machines, boom pillars, and mining
  
• Mining quest is mostly unrelated and just unlocks a fun sprite scene.
  
• clearing the boom pillars and cloud machines get you to find the poachers.
  
• fight the poachers + surprise
  
• after you complete that you can then find the plankton handlers plans.

The sweet-sweet loot

The hidden items! If you're like me you may have noticed there are two walled off rooms on the map while trying to frantically figure out where you need to go lapping the map several times.... or maybe you're better than me and got everything easily because you stopped to read while. however in the off chance you didn't notice these ill show you.

Lets start with with the gender swapping drink. enter the 8th floor from the dungeon entrance and not the flag/standard at the northern end of the map. Travel North by North-East and you'll find something that looks like this within seconds.

enter here approach the odd statues and use your fancy flask to scoop up some of this DNA altering goodness.

For the next item, the hidden color pallet for your farmhands. if you travel by flag/standard travel travel directly west, however if youre following this guide and you went to the other cave first, leave that cave, travel north west towards the mini fort with your allies in it. leave via north west exit, follow the route until you hit the dried up river bisecting the grass.

Speculations

The Gift of Mero its not a key item, or quest item so I suspect its a one time use item. I'm waiting to use mine.
When I look at this item and read its text to a hidden species 3 different ideas come to mind.

• First idea is a possible alien, the coloration give me alien vibes and the item looks like a spaceship.
  
• Second idea is a mermaid, "mero" is a type of fish, and i can 100% see them giving a mermaid that chosen color palette. Also i'm not super knowledgeable but maybe somewhere calls them meromaids.
  
• Last idea, and the one I'm hoping I'm wrong on.... its just an item, there is no secret farmhand, and the name mero actually came from the anime Onepiece's "mero mero no mi" or in english the love love fruit, because you'll want to give the colors associated with valentines day to the farm hand you love the most.

@Fili i believe F8 is the final floor to this dungeon. are you asking how to beat it? or are you asking if there's more?

@Stinky grab the monster you want in your party and go to the dungeon, you should be able to access your items and tell it to effect the monster of your chocie.

How do you use the grift of mero? I cannot figure it out

What it does is add a pink mermaid palette to a chosen animal. I've gotten a 2nd one once the dungeon reset the next week but idk how repeatable it is
