Prey VR - Prey (2006) in Virtual Reality!
3D Realms' Prey is taking you on a mind-blowing journey through time and space. Escape your alien abductors by using portals and gravity-walks and try to save your girlfriend! But there is more at stake: It's a choice between love and responsibility. It's a choice that cannot be made easily.

This VR port was developed by Luboš. It is utilizing vr code by Team Beef.
This version is for Meta Quest 2 / Pro. A Pico 4 beta is available on github; see the news section.

VR controller aiming and roomscale tracking.
Id Tech 4: Built on an enhanced Doom 3 engine.
Portal technology adds a new dimension to gameplay - surprise encounters and original puzzles face you at every turn.
A Guiding Spirit: Several never-before-seen gameplay elements such as Spirit Walking, Wall Walking, and Deathwalk.
Installation (One click. Demo included!)
Click "Sideload" and you are ready to go - the official demo is included (~1 hour playtime).

Note: The download is about 1.1 GB in size. Please be patient and do not disconnect your headset before the install process has been completed.

How to install the full game
How to buy Prey (2006):
Prey (2006) is not listed on Steam anymore. But that does not mean you can't aquire it. Buying it from a Steam key reseller is most straight forward. https://www.kinguin.net/category/14608/prey-2006-steam-cd-key After you aquired the key, you can redeem it and Prey will show up just fine in your Steam library.

Once you have bought and installed the game on Steam you can continue:

If you haven't already, install the demo (see above) and start the port at least once.
On your PC go to your Steam installation of Prey (2006) (\Prey 2006\base).
Copy all PK4 files from there to PreyVR\preybase\ on your headset.
Now delete all demo pk4 files on your headset. They are not needed anymore.
Done. You can now play the full game.

Mods:
The port comes with a selection of pre-installed single player mods. Access them via the main menu. Be aware that the mods require the full version of Prey. They do not work with the demo.
