Tips for easy Spec Ops Achievement completion

A small checklist on how to do the Spec Ops achievement as easy as possible.

Preparations

A short list of things to do like getting a easy RNG seed for the heist and getting the vault code.

• Bring your stealth loadout.
  
• Check that the archive room (room with QR code) spawned on the second floor. If not, exit to main menu and rehost the heist so you get a new rng seed.
  
  
• Get the keypad combination for the vault. This can be done in loud to save time. (restarting the heist wont change the combination)
  
• Restart the heist if you failed the achievement so far and you got the combination for the vault. Else proceed to the vault, decrypt the SSD and leave thru the elevator at spawn.

Walkthrough

A full list of objectives to do the heist in stealth without killing guards.

• 1. Punch open the first vent cover to save time.
  
• 2. In the vents, go to the lower vents and leave thru the left vent.
  Note You should be able to see the Lead Guard on the walkway across from you.
  
• 3. Try hugging the left side so you will reach the tablet to continue the objectives.
  
• 4. Now the worst part, in which you just walk around and stand in circles when possible...
  
• 5. After this, go to the vault and open it with the acquired code from the prior run.
  Note that the Lead Guard will go straight for the bedroom when you open it. Just wait inside the bathroom and start hacking his phone for the QR code. If he walks away and you are not done, either follow him or start to hack his radio to buy more time.
  
• 6. Once you got the QR code and grabbed the SSD (prior or after hacking the guards phone for QR code), go for the archive (qr code room) room and get the red keycard.
  
• 7. Open the office with the red keycard and plug in the SSD.
  
• 8. Once the decryption is finished, pick up the SSD and trigger the lure for the front guard to enter the room.
  Sidenote: You could also try to trigger a search by leaving a bag somewhere unattended for the guards to detect. This will make the front guard usually enter the main building.
  
• 9. Leave thru the elevator behind you at spawn.

Congratulations you should have completed the achievement, as long as you didnt kill anyone or raise the alarm.

Why certain things are being recommended

This section is simply to explain why you should want to do certain things the way i would recommend them.

Archive room (QR code room) on the second level
This is simply so you can avoid the 2 civilians that spawn downstairs on the far left. Its usually too much of a risk to cuff and hide them in the room close by.


Getting the vault code in a prior loud run
This not only saves time but also skips the objective to get the civilian into the office to open the panic room.

Good to know things and closing thoughts

Good to know
The guard with the blue keycard usually spawns on the right side of the right lower vent. Its only used for the cameras so you might aswell skip it.
If you want to disable the cameras, there is currently a bug in which you simply throw a bag infront of the camera guard to detect and the second he starts to move out of his idle pose, pick up the bag again. Congratulations the cameras should be disabled. [[i]this might get fixed in the near future ;) [/i]]

If you punch open the vents leading into the main area, guards will spot it and trigger a search. Same goes for shooting open doors or throwing knifes into walls.

You can try to lure the lead guard or any guards with sprinting for a short amount of time. Be aware that they will go to the exact spot you were at when you sprinted including the next few meters even if you crouch walked away.

If you are trying this achievement with multiple people, you can try to open the front door for them and lure the guard away. The first level of the main area is a private area. So being unmasked only gets you escorted outside of the main area.

RNG stays the same for a heist in PAYDAY 3. It only changes when you go into the main menu and rehost a heist. Restarting a heist wont change it.


Closing thoughts
This guide is simply aon to recommendation to make things easier for you when trying to get this achievement. Its not a necessary requirement to do the steps in this order or to even do them at all. WIth some skill points and trial & error you should be able to complete this achievement in no time <3

If you sneak up to a guard and use a takedown to subdue them it doesn’t actually count as a kill, so you can use this to take out the most annoying guards and make sneaking around a bit easier.
