The Light and Heavy attacks aren't coloured on the Mk 3 Shovel :stress: Ogryn together strong

When I'm grouping for Havoc 40 I see people wanting one of each class, so I'm not sure how Ogryn is eclipsed by other classes. Ogryn is desired. And noone's anyone asking the Ogryn to play a specific build, but I see the others asked to play Chrous, Bubble, and VoC.

I do agree that Gun Lugger is overall the "worst" out of the gate, but I'm not saying there doesn't exist builds that are top-tier good, because they certainly do exist. The main issue I have with Gun Lugger is poor ammo economy for certain weapons (an issue that in many ways extends to ranged builds for any class), and how the melee talents you'd like to pick up are scattered on the left side of the tree, making them taxing to pick up.

NuGryn coupled with Havoc 2.0 mechanics has made Ogryn such a powerhouse though.

@Infectedwaffle And why ogryn supose to compete with others?
It isnt competive game its cooperative instead and ogryn is much better than before.

Oh damn Grenade Gauntlet too? Damn its almost like Darktide is, get this, actually kind of easy? So let me instead put this into context so that hopefully at least someone will understand:

Even before this rework, Ogryns were beating H40 with a variety of builds and a variety of weapons. The problem was, and still is, never about Ogryn NOT beating H40. The problem is Ogryn's entire skill tree is eclipsed by the other 3 characters, in nearly every way and in every scenario. Before the rework Ogryns had 2 options at higher levels of play: "git gud" or commit to one of Ogryn's very few builds that were proven to work. This rework did nothing to actually uplift Ogryn. Instead, it applied band-aid solutions to his anemic skill tree which allows him to use more builds, and sometimes feel like he actually competes with the other characters. The vast majority of love was given to Skullbreaker, which is why you hear people say dumb crap like him being the "second best character".

Yeah, well, agree to disagree - the entire argument seems seething with some strange contempt to the class, and is just wrong in my eyes. The rework is great all around, raised the ogryn strength significantly in all areas. We have multiple builds that pass H40 with flying colors, 4 Ogryns using /just slaps/ cleared H40 as well. Even previous naysayers, left and right admit Ogryn is probably second strongest class in the game, which is also as you say - pretty telling. I know it's hard to admit that the class is in extremely good spot now, with some things that are surely hitting a shortlist to be nerfed or reeled in soon (like Cstrike build for example, or Shrimpact affecting entire explosion radius), but I am sure given time you will see how potent the NuGryn is.

Oh and btw, Rippers and Hstubbers are also used on H40. Quite a lot. GG too.

@Fire.Ant No offense, but its very telling that you'd even mention a Rumbler or Kickback build. Trying to measure the actual effectiveness of Gunlugger by using one of the two guns that get anything close to significant benefits from the new dog sh*t skills they added is stupid. Add on the fact that both weapons were already Ogryn's best ranged options and you have a confirmation bias as strong as the "Dueling Sword isn't OP" crowd. I know this is hard to admit, but the entire rework, as much good as it did, is deeply flawed as it hardly addresses the actual problems that each of Ogryn's classes face. Saying "Rumbler works great though" is some hardcore cope and you know it.
Fire.Ant  [créateur] 15 avr. à 22h08
@Infectedwaffle - Just because we didn't include a build in the guide doesn't mean it doesn't exist. PBB / BLO Keystone Rumbler Ogryn is quite widely considered strongest or second strongest HAVOC 40 build by great ogryn players, and Rumbler especially with Gunlugger build is extremely strong.

Once the Ogryn WIKI is up we'll expands on that.

Also: Pretending like everything is fine and great with Ogryn was one of the major reasons why calling for an Ogryn buff was so divisive. On top of that, if we continue to cope over stuff like Gunlugger by saying "Oh, its just a hybrid class. Don't worry, guys, you're supposed to suck at range." then Fatshark will continue to treat it like a garbage "hybrid" class and continue to give us pure garbage like "x% faster reloading" skills WHEN THE ACTIVE ABILITY AND KEYSTONE MAKES YOU RELOAD LESS OFTEN ANYWAY.
Infectedwaffle 15 avr. à 15h35
Damn its crazy how they try to glaze Gunlugger in this guide even after the rework, and yet not a single one of their Havoc builds even touch the skills on the right side of the skill tree. Damn, its almost like Gunlugger STILL SUCKS and Fatshark almost completely failed to give Gunlugger any real, significant buff. SO happy that after the rework the only significant change they got was a buff to their keystone, and yet the buff was so basic that it went from "Legitimately unusable and easily the worst keystone in the game" to just "Pathetic and still the worst keystone in the game".
