I made a map because this game is confusing
At first I made just a Dapplewood map, but then I decided to document Ariacotta Canyon and Veridian Valley as well. I made the Dapplewood map because I kept getting lost and finding dinosaurs I wasn't looking for, and I thought it was kind of a silly map in hindsight, but now I see it can be useful to others, so I will continue making the maps and info tabs!

It's alright if nobody else finds this useful or think it ruins the fun of discovering new species (although I purposely omitted the friend calls just so the challenge isn't totally destroyed), I just wasn't sure where else to put it and maybe others could find it useful for tracking some dinosaurs. I tracked some special spawns as well that I will include as a separate piece and not on the maps. Here ya go.

Update: Replaced the 'Season' category on the maps with 'Pen Size', as with further research seasonal spawns only affect cross-area dinosaurs such as Therizinosaurus appearing in Veridian Valley. So including it on the map was unnecessary.
Veridian Valley Spawn Map
Note: Some missing Jurassos data, but most other data is up to date
Blurred out Owynn just 'cause

There is a 13th dinosaur spawn in Veridian Valley which is unlocked by progressing the story

Fixed Pachycephalosaurus & Gallimimus being incorrectly labeled as Herbivores
Extra Veridian Spawns [that I know of]
7* Gallimimus only spawns here in Cretumnus and its normal spawn area is not used during the season

10* - Scelidosaurus only spawns here in Jurassos, even before breaking the canyon boulders. When it is here during that season, it will be absent from its desert area spawn

Therizinosaurus & Deinocheirus
In the section just before the Desmatosuchus area behind the log. Neither of them appear in Triassea, Therizinosaurus appears in Jurassos, and Deinocheirus appears in Cretumnus [Requires visiting Dapplewood]

Ouranosaurus
Appears next to the Coelophysis [Jurassos Only] [Requires visiting Dapplewood]

Centrosaurus
Will spawn in place of Gallimimus' Cretumnus spawn [Triassea Only] [Requires visiting Dapplewood]

Dimetrodon & Allosaurus
Will spawn next to the Scelidosaurus in the desert section. Neither of them appear in Triassea, Allosaurus appears in Jurassos, and Dimetrodon appears in Cretumnus [Requires visiting Ariacotta Canyon]

Utahraptor
Will spawn next to the Corythosaurus [Triassea Only] [Requires visiting Ariacotta Canyon]

Baryonyx
By the small lake to the left of Dapplewood’s entrance where one of the amethyst deposits is [Triassea Nights Only] [Requires visiting Dapplewood]

Oviraptor, Euoplocephalus & Psittacosaurus (okay then?)
On the hill to the right of the desert section. Oviraptor appears in Triassea, a lone Psittacosaurus appears in Jurassos, and Euplocephalus appears in Cretumnus [Requires visiting Dapplewood for Oviraptor] [Requires visiting Ariacotta Canyon for Euoplocephalus]

Parasaurolophus
Becomes available after finishing ‘The Parasaurolophus Puzzle’. They appear behind the valley windmill. They are herbivores, they are Clearer/Sprinters, their favorite flavor is Crunchy and they are Herd dinosaurs.
Dapplewood Spawn Map
Microraptor is so dang tiny I only found it out existed in Cretumnus and thought it was a seasonal spawn. It isn't.

.png]
Extra Dapplewood Spawns [that I know of]
2* - This pit will flood if it has rained that day and it will remain flooded throughout the next day. Jurassos season has less chance of rain and therefore less chance of the pit flooding. No dinosaurs will appear under such conditions

7* - Microraptor only appears here during Light Showers or Heavy Rain

Coelophysis
Near Granny Agami's farm, in between the two trees pictured on the map [Cretumnus Only]

Gallimimus
Next to the Kentrosaurus spawn [Cretumnus Only]
I found a melanistic Gallimimus in this exact spot/the day I realized Gallimimus spawns here, but it is most likely a coincidence. Still, gotta have a 'lil superstition once in a while

Deinonychus, Troodon, Archaeopteryx & more
Where Deinocheirus normally spawns, Deinocheirus will not appear in Dapplewood if this event occurs [Cretumnus Fridays Only]

Wuerhosaurus & Carnotaurus
In between the Kentrosaurus and Ouranosaurus spawns, Wuerhosaurus appears in Triassea, Carnotaurus appears in Jurassos, and neither appear in Cretumnus [Requires visiting Ariacotta Canyon for Carnotaurus]

Pinacosaurus
Near the Triassea Wuerhosaurus spawn on a cliff only accessible by breaking boulders [Requires visiting Ariacotta Canyon] [Season data pending]

Megalosaurus replaces the Archaeopteryx spawn in Triassea randomly throughout
Ariacotta Spawn Map
Note: Some seasonal listings in the Extra Spawns section may be incorrect or outdated and will be changed later.
The active hours may also be incorrect, but so far I have seen all featured dinosaurs at all times.

Blurred over NPCs on the map for spoilers and because they're in the way >:c

.png]
Extra Ariacotta Spawns [that I know of]
6* - Velociraptor only spawns here during weather conditions, season does not matter

Tyrannosaurus Rex & Styracosaurus
In the valley nearing the eastern Allosaurus spawn, south of town. Styracosaurus appears in Triassea, neither appear in Jurassos, and Tyrannosaurus Rex appears in Cretumnus

Postosuchus & Desmatosuchus
Next to the first Utahraptor spawn you will find in the dividing paths leading to the dunes. Neither appear in Triassea, Desmatosuchus appears in Jurassos, and Postosuchus appears in Cretumnus

Scelidosaurus
In Archeo Pelago across from all the shop stands [Jurassos Only]

Parasaurolophus*
Technically they appear in the canyon where Carnotaurus is, but only on the day you first call them back, as they are not found here again and the journal does not state that they roam Ariacotta Canyon.

If you go to the spot just behind the Ouranosaurus spawn during Jurassos at the top of the map of Dapplewood, theres a Sarchosuchus spawn.

@Iskariot That might be either Utahraptor (which can appear in the valley after opening Ariacotta canyon, but it's a Jurassos spawn) or Troodon. But I will keep it in mind

peajay64, I will be glad if it helps. But he looked more like a bird with a long tail, they ran in a flock. I'm also waiting for spring to see who was hiding there)
peajay64  [autor] 30 września 2023 o 10:20
@Iskariot That dinosaur between the desert and the ranch is probably Scelidosaurus, which can be found elsewhere during Jurassos. Even the wiki is missing the 13th Veridian dinosaur in the list, so it’s either a big mystery or part of the story. And it could’ve also been an Ariacotta or Dapplewood dino, yea, but I will see if Triassea or weather has an effect on it. Thanks c:

Hi, man, this is good job!
"I will document Veridian Valley once I find that one sneaky dinosaur that's still missing in my journal."
It's probably one of those little dinosaurs I caught a glimpse of on the hill to the right of the ranch. Between the ranch and the road leading to the desert, there is also a table and a telescope. I won't undertake to say, but it was in the spring at night or during the rain, I can't remember now. It may well turn out to be a dinosaur from Ariacotta or Dapplewood.

Ps: I'm sorry if the translation is a bit wrong, I used a translator:lunar2019piginablanket:

@Atheris You’re welcome! I’ll do one for Ariacotta Canyon once I get as much data as possible. There’s 1 sneaky dinosaur in both the valley and canyon that I don’t have access to/wrong season/etc. so I can’t make the map yet but I’ve documented everything else lol
Atheris 29 września 2023 o 22:28
Thank youuu! I was about to draw myself a map before I came across this lol
peajay64  [autor] 29 września 2023 o 10:24
Exactly. I did see someone else say though that the Kentrosaurus gets replaced by Wuerhosaurus in Triassea, but I didn't explore much of Dapplewood during that season so I got to test if that's right later lol

I was looking for something like this.
At some point it get's a bit overwhleming and way to much to remember where and under what circumstances which dinos are around.
Well done, thank you!
