Intro:
Made this guide to show the results of seeking the best non-Aetorian MC and good non-shipowners MC, while also getting all friends possible.

Made 3 builds, one with low age but with enough stats to be able to have success at the Estate and to become a successful saboteur; a older one with enough intellect to maximize the investment in Garing's guns and one minimal age only for cunarians able to have success at the Estate and to become a successful saboteur.
Import Results:
Build 1
Build 2Xa
Build2Xb
Build 3
Chapter I
For build 2Xb and 1 or 2Xa that will join Reform club:
#Observe the men training outside. I might be able to pick up some pointers.
For all others:
#Try to talk to some of the other junior officers and get some advice.

#Try to offer some excuse explaining my lateness.

For a Saltcoast MC:
#The Western Coast, stormswept and desolate, home to tough tides and tough men.
For Cunaris MC:
#The Eastern Plains, where Fernandescourt stands. Home to some of the best horsemen in the Unified Kingdom.
For Wulfram MC:
#The North, the economic powerhouse of Tierra, a land of iron mines and mills.

For build 1:
at least: #Age 18.

For builds 2X:
at least: #Age 25.

For build 3Xb (Cunarian only):
#Age 14.

For build 1, 3Xb and 2Xb:
#A set of books on philosophy and the natural sciences.

For build 2Xa:
#A custom-made uniform, which will make me stand out in a crowd.

Chapter II
#"Cornet $!{firstname} d'al $!{lastname}, at your service."

#Ask Cazarosta about himself.

# This regimen is impossible! I am barely surviving!

For build 1, 2Xb and 3Xb:
# I do all right, but academics have never been my strong suit.
For build 2Xa:
#I do excellently in the academic training.

For build 1, 2Xb and 3Xb:
# I have already become friends with many of my fellow officers.
For build 2Xa:
#I may not be the most personable of men, but I rarely eat alone.

#Practice sparring and marksmanship with Cazarosta.

#Stay behind: I must to try to help Elson.
Chapter III
Build 1 and 2Xa
#Pick up some fighting tips from the Marines.
Build 3Xb and 2Xb
#I brush up on my knowledge of the League of Antar.

#Take command! We should not leave the conduct of the battle to a mere sergeant!

#I hold up the boarding party and try to figure out what it is.

#Be cautious: We can hold midships and force the Antari to come to us.
Chapter IV
#Of course. I would not turn down a chance at leisure before I receive my orders.
For build 1 and 3Xb :
#Play Tassenswerd.
For builds 2X:
#Play Quie.

#I get a horse first.
For build 3Xb:
#Buy a horse from a merchant with my own funds.
#Buy Thunderer.
For builds 2X and 1:
#Requisition a horse from the official stables.

#Pick Harlech as my sergeant.
Chapter V
#Drill my men relentlessly.

#A chance for a glorious victory.

#Damn the horses! Ride at full speed!

For builds 2X:
#Try a more efficient pattern, and pocket the remaining seals to sell later.
For build 1 and 3Xb:
#Set the seals exactly as the diagram says. Hopefully, Captain Hunter knows what he is doing.

#Cut firing loops.

#Care for the horses.

#Block the road.

#"Mount up! We're going to charge the enemy!"

#By regulations: half will go to my men, leaving the remaining 120 crowns to myself.

For build 1 and 2X
#Maybe the Gazette ran out of space to print whatever Elson had done to deserve his promotion?
For build 3Xb:
#He clearly used his noble birth to secure an undeserved promotion.

#Request cavalry reserve duty.
Chapter VI
#"No questions sir."

#Extra shot and powder, for a protracted fight.

#To be prepared for anything.

#That this moron will shortly get all of his men killed. He must be dealt with.

#"Lieutenant Carrecort, you are a disgrace to His Majesty's Army. Since you seem so uneager to save your men, I shall have to do it for you. I am assuming command."

#I am a better leader.

#Try a frontal assault.

#Lieutenant Carrecort clearly has much to learn about the art of command, censure him.

#Keep the weapon for myself.

#Return to patrol duty.
Chapter VII
#I pick the Western route. More arduous duty will keep the men in fighting trim.

#Approach them: Ask what they are talking about.

#Try to convince them.

#Try to convince Lefebvre give me more answers.

#Search for the other missing Grenadiers myself.

#Drag them back in chains.

#Keep quiet.
Chapter VIII
#I feel very confident! I am sure I will get a new command soon!

#Remain at the Duke's Service to ingratiate myself.

#Ask the Duke if I could read his books.

#I pick the biggest and most dangerous-looking men.

#The men need discipline above all else. I drill them until they faint!

#If the army refuses to house my men properly, I shall have to rent better for them myself.

#"My men stand as ready as they'll ever be. They won't disappoint you."
Chapter IX
#It might be dangerous, keep an eye out.

#"Take this man outside of the camp, slit his throat."

#Captain Elson's plan.

#It would be more merciful to allow our enemies to flee.

#Eat with Cazarosta.

#I stick to small talk.

#Actually, I've got a plan of my own I'd rather we use.

#My brilliant plan will assure us a glorious victory!
Chapter X
#I would have Cazarosta do it.

#"I think you should do it sir."

#Take the Antari commander captive for ransom. Allow the rest to leave.
Chapter XI
#I reassure Elson that our recent victory will make our uniforms recognizable enough.

build 3:
#Name, rank, regiment, titles, decorations: everything. I want to make as big an impression as
possible.
otherwise:
#Have them give my full name as well as my regiment and rank, let them remember me.

#Join Hunter and Hartigan in their conversation.

#Claim the Antari light cavalry are the most dangerous.

#Speak with Cazarosta.

#"Perhaps you are right. I will seek company elsewhere."
Chapter XII
#"Absolutely sir, I am confident in our chances of victory."

#Remind Elson how vital our regiment's task is likely to be.

#Elson is right, if we win against Hussars, our glorious deeds will stand forever!

#"What shall be our next move?"

#Volunteer to guard the castle with Cazarosta. My skills are of more use here than in the field.

#I try to convince him of the tactical merit of allowing me to retain command of my men.

#"Withdraw from the field? What manner of cowardice is this?"

#"Very well, we will stand and hold this position then."

#Ask Wittelbrook what he's doing back here.

#"Surely I shall. Tell us the truth."

#Convince Wittelbrook of the dire consequences of his proposed actions.

For builds 2X:
#Block the passage between the two castle towers with Cazarosta's men reinforcing my own. I could use the help.

#Rally the men with a speech; they will fight better if their spirits are high.

#I'll remind the men of their duty as soldiers of the King.

#I cannot leave, but I can allow my men to. I shall let every one not willing to fight to the death escape with their lives.

#Be clever: Find a way to unhorse the Hussar and gut him before he can recover.

Yeah indeed, doesn't change much except him running off
Tiago  [author] Oct 14, 2023 @ 1:51pm
needs 60 charisma or intellect to convince Wittelbrook, but it doesn't matter as far as results go, except Wittelbrook dying which don't even has a variable tracking.
Shay Oct 14, 2023 @ 1:48pm
I see, good to know
Shay Oct 14, 2023 @ 1:48pm
trying to convince Wittelbrook fails as well. 52 Charisma (and 55 Intel; 55 Soldiering; 55 Rep). Suppose needs 55 Charisma for that one

#Try to convince them : reduces ruthlessness and increases idealism, there are points in Guns were ruthlessness can't be too high and other were idealism must be past a certain point to get a positive result.

Aight good, gonna keep on going down then. Good thing I backup at the beginning of every chapter

Hmm didn't know that, thought it was just a charisma or loyalty check. But it doesn't have any impact then ? I wish there was a complete guide with the effects of each decision like we have on Lords now lmao, might have to code dive soon enough
