Doesn't really matter that I barely know you, a loss of a dog's best friend always touches me! So sorry for your loss, but as cliche as it sounds, I hope time heals your wounds. What I told another, is probably what I can tell you too: I bet you were caring all that time, so I feel you didn't/don't need to stay long in the bargaining stage of grief 🙏 Most importantly, I hope he didn't suffer much in the end, and maybe it can somehow be soothing that he passed away at a respectable age!
