Welcome to the Rock the Cradle guidebook! This guide is meant to cover the majority of the PAYDAY 3 heist to become the ultimate heister. The club won't rob itself so without further ado... here's a list of content for your convenience***

Security Modifiers

Titan Cameras

This security modifier makes security cameras indestructible but they can still be hacked. Titan Cameras apply on Very Hard mode for this heist.

Lead Guard

This security modifier adds an additional guard that is recognized for wearing a big vest with a radio strapped to it and a cap on his head that patrols. In most situations your stealth run might be over if he dies since he has infinite pagers that you must answer. ECM jammers or playing with other players online might save the run if he ever dies or calls the alarm. If you are optimistic then the Lead Guard is a really useful tool if you put a MicroCam or MotionSensor on him you'll be able to see where all the others guards are at since the Lead Guard will sometimes walk or stand where another guard can be seen for each floor. Lead Guard apply on OVERKILL mode

General Area Basics

• Areas labeled as "" mean you can't be detected until you perform illegal actions. If you carry a bag on your back in Public nobody will be suspicious of you because it's just a gym bag to them. You're free to run around in Public Areas.
  
  
• Areas labeled as "" mean that if guards detect you they will escort you out of the Private Area and put you in a Public Area if you are in casing mode. If you have the skill Glitch Protocol you can hack their radio during the escort to completely reset the guard to ignore you which can save you a bunch of time if you are far away from a Public Area. This can sometimes bug-out where the guard will simply stop in their tracks then continue to escort you. You can tell if the hack worked or not if the escort circle has disappeared. Civilians ignore you in Private Areas if you don't perform illegal actions.
  
  
• Areas labeled as "" mean that if guards detect you then they will try to handcuff you if you are in casing mode. If you run in a Secure Area then guards will investigate it. You can benefit from this if you need to move a guard away from their post, you perform a short run in the area you want them to go to. If a guard spots you and tries to handcuff you then they will enter search mode regardless if they actually manage to cuff you or not. If you run away from a guard that wants to handcuff you then they will try to call the alarm so make sure to stand your ground if you have skills like Slipperty or Glitch Protocol which can prevent you from staying in cuffs or getting cuffed in the first place. Civilians can spot you in Secure Areas because it is considered a illegal action. Consider having the Social Engineering skill so that when you are near a civilian you gain Rush which then causes you to not be spotted by civilians in the Secure Area and they won't spot you doing any other illegal actions. If you run out of Rush then simply stand near the civilian to refresh it, they won't instantly spot if you're too close to them because the skill can be activated before any civilian can begin to detect you again. You can run in Secure Areas without getting caught if no guard is nearby or if there is nothing suspicious going on where you ran, like bags, bodies, hostages, vault being open, other players...
  
  
• Areas labeled as "" mean any patrolling guards in Private and Secure areas will roam around 'freely' and start cuffing anyone they spot in casing mode regardless if it's a private or secure area. They ignore you if you are unmasked in a Public Area though. Search can be triggered when someone is handcuffed during stealth, the guards spot something suspicious causing them to search the bank or if you run out of pagers. Keep in mind that a heist can still be completed during search mode, meaning that you can see search mode as a third pager if you're playing on Overkill Mode which allows only two pagers to be answered without triggering search mode. Be sure to know what type of search mode it is. If search was triggered by answering too many pagers then the alarm will go off when you answer a pager during search. But if you didn't run out of pagers and there is a search then you can still answer pagers so always be sure what type of search it is.

You can see what area label it is by looking at the top of the screen during the heist. If you are in a Private Area in Rock the Cradle with VIP pass then guards that search won't spot you.

▫️ Recommended Skills

• Infiltrator
  
• Quick FIngers

Saves you a ton of time there are plenty of doors to lockpick and you can ignore cameras and guards looking at you because the doors will be lockpicked instantly. You need these two if you want to get the heist done more quickly.

• Grifter
  
• Social Engineering

Tons of civilians so there is many ways to get Rush. You will also have plenty of places you can access or interact with where civilians are looking. This makes all of it easy, especially looting the money bag from the poker table where civilians are sitting.

• Hacker
  
• Secure Loop
  
• Glitch Protocol

Use secure loop to save time when a camera is staring you down. Glitch Protocol is incredibly good here. You can easily get spotted by accident and the escort will a lot of times be very far away from the club entrance, just get this skill to skip that really long walk. You can also save your unmasked run if you get spotted in Secure Areas just hack the guard's radio when they are about to handcuff you.

There are many situations in this heist where you can lockpick doors while being spotted by guards but if you have Quick FIngers skill and no Rush then use Infiiltrator ACE to get Rush from nearby guards so that you can lockpick any door without having to wait for the guard to leave. Bagger is nice to have in combination with other Rush skills so that you save that little bit of time especially with how many bags there are in this heist.

• Appliance Breach

Plenty of lures in the VIP basement that you can use to get rid of the bouncer guarding the door leading to the IT-room.

▫️ Recommended Loadout

• Standard Lining (Movement Speed)

It's recommended to use as light armor as possible if you're stealthing because there are many situations where you barely make it past a guard or civilian, and light armor improves your movement speed. Can save you a lot of time.

• Motion Sensor (On Guards)

If you have motion sensors unlocked then put a motion sensor on the lead guard (OVERKILL MODE) without being detected and you'll never have to worry about not knowing where he is. You can see where he is at all times without having to pull out your phone. You can also just put it on any guard that walks around so that you can always know their position.

▫️ How Do I Get To Cassandra's Office?

With Skills:

From the start of the heist if you have Social Engineering skill then go near the civilians at the entrance front to gain Rush then lockpick the front entrance with the bouncers watching if you have Quick Fingers skill. You can also use Infiltrator ACE and gain Rush as you're lockpicking with Quick Fingers skill because the bouncers will begin to detect you as you're picking the lock. Once the front doors are open just walk or crouch through then run straight down the club stairs and into the grey door on the right side of the dance floor. If you're fast enough you can run halfway past the cameras then crouch down and use the Rush you gained from Social Engineering skill as you ran past the civilians in the club to instantly lockpick the door using Quick Fingers skill while the camera is detecting you from behind, so be quick about it. The door you're lockpicking is the grey door leading to that one civilian office with the vent inside. Once you're in the civilian won't spot you because you gained Rush from successfully picking the lock now get past the civilian and unlock the grey door inside the office. Leave the office, sneak through the bar then instantly lockpick the grey door up ahead leading to a staircase. Walk up the stairs and the grey door infront of you is the last door before you can see Cassandra's office door. Her office is in the grey door that has a camera above it. There is a guard here that walks clockwise meaning if the guard is not coming towards you from the right then you take a left. If the guard is on the left you take a right.

Without Skills:

From the start of the heist go right. Unlock the door leading to the kitchen. Unlock the door to the left inside the kitchen leading to the club bar. Sneak through the bar to take a right immediately. Go left then left again until you reach the staircase close to the club entrance. Walk up the stairs and sneak past the guards & cameras. Lockpick the grey door on the other side. Enter the grey door to a hall with two cameras. Open the door at the end of the hall then go right and open that door. If you don't have a guard to your left and no guard to your *immediate* right then take the left path towards Cassandra's office. If a guard is on your left when you come through the grey door then take the right path towards Cassandra's office. This is because the guard there will always start on the left corner then proceeds to walk to a shelf of objects, then to stand near Cassandra's office door to check the camera above it, then walk to the DJ, then from the DJ the guard will return to his corner position then repeat this pattern.

Get In And Out Of Her Office Faster:

Depending on the guard's position you can do a short run to distract him with the noise then sneak around the opposite direction. This is by far the best way because the guard will investigate the noise while you lockpick the door to Cassandra's office then once you're inside you get the hack Cassandra's phone objective and by that time the guard has returned to their position which you can sneak away from if you did it when the guard was in a good position such as the corner near the stairs leading up to the speaker floor or when the guard is checking the supply shelf.

Get In And Out Of Her Office Faster (Skill Methods):

If you have skills like Infiltrator ACE and Quick Fingers then if the guard ever spots you, you can use that Rush gain to lockpick Cassandra's door faster in case the guard is in a good position. If the guard is by the storage shelf and you are impatient then use the skill Glitch Protocol to hack his radio so that he will stay at the storage shelf for longer which is enough time to lockpick Cassandra's office door, get in and out. Only use Glitch Protocol if you are not consistent with the running-to-create-noise method. These are methods to avoid having the guard stand next to Cassandra's office door as much as possible and the purpose it serves is to only save you time.

▫️ 👽 How Do I Hack Cassandra's Phone?

Sometimes She Takes A Pause

When your objective tells you to hack Cassandra's phone then she will glow through the walls with an outline. When you get behind her there is a phone on her butt that you must activate without being deted. Now, at first it may seem tedious but you really just have to find her in a place where she is just standing still to have the least amount of detection risk. You can still hack her phone while she is on the move but it may require you to have an idea of how the detection system works to dodge guards and cameras 'properly'. It's also recommended to have an idea of where the guards patrol because the patrols seem to be the same everytime. But this is leaving some things to chance. However, if you really want to lock her in... do the method below!

Door Block Her!

Just door block her. Close a door in her face over and over until the hacking is complete. She won't stop trying to go through the door she wanted to go through, she is determined. Close a door in her face until your hack is complete then you get a QR code. You can door block her using any door that she goes through at any location. Cassandra has a chance to bug through the wall next to the door you are door blocking her with but it's rare.

*Sometimes* she will but out and walk through the walls or door. It's more consistent to door block her if you're on the opposite side of the door and not on her side of the door.

▫️ Where Is The Blank Invitation Reader?

Reader Locations (Random):

• It can be on a table on the floor above the club entrance
  
• It can be on the desk inside the civilian office next to the VIP door
  
• It can be on a table inside a booth on the second floor:
  - The booth is near the DJ and Cassandra's office

Guards *can* spot the computer being hacked so make sure they're not able to look at it!

▫️ What Does The VIP Pass Do?

Private Areas = Public Areas

Simple as that. If you have the VIP pass you can run around in Private Areas without being detected but you can still get detected if you do illegal activities or if you have a mask on. Secure Areas are still considered an illegal activity even with VIP pass.

Guards in search mode won't detect you in Private Areas if you have VIP pass!

▫️ 👽 The VIP Entrance Is Bugged, Help!

Distract The Bouncers!

The office next to the VIP entrance is a Secured Area, go in there, leave the door open and make sure no guard is outside or inside and the camera isn't looking then run for a short moment inside the Secure Area so that the VIP bouncers get distracted by the sound then immediately leave the room then take the keycard undetected from one of the bouncers then open the VIP door with the keycard undetected. If you have the VIP pass then the door will sometimes open on it's own when you get close to it when the guards are investigating the sound, but it's easier if you also pick up the keycard from the bouncers' butt when you are un-detected or just go into the Secure Area office again, run for a short time to distract them again and take it. You're in.

▫️ How Do I Flip The Correct Switch?

Get Inside The IT-room (Keycard)

Once you're in the VIP basement you need a red keycard if you don't go the business card route or the vent route. You can find the red keycard in the accountant's office. If you have a blue keycard you can go to your right to open the switch room then open the vent in the switch room, then crouch walk on the ventilation system leading to a balcony. If you are masked up you can climb over the balcony then enter the doors to get inside the accountant's office. If you are not masked up then there are some boxes on top of each other underneath you that you can drop down on. If you miss the boxes or drop on boxes that are too low then you take fall damage which causes you to put on your mask automatically. Near the corner with boxes there will be a door you can lockpick. Open it then go up the stairs then open the wooden door that leads to the accountants office. Inside the accountant's office you can find a red keycard in a random location: on a shelf in the storage closet, in the shelf near the wooden door or it's inside the crackable safe on the same shelf. Once you have the red keycard and leave the office to search for the IT-room. The IT-room will have a bouncer standing next to the door that leads to the IT-room door. Most effective way to make the bouncer leave the door regardless of your skills is to use one of the 'lures' nearby. The lures will be black boxes that when you interact with them they will perform fireworks! Don't get spotted doing it so wait for you to not be "(Observed)" when you do it. If there is no guard nearby then the bouncer will be the one to hear it. The bouncer leaves the door. Now get through that door he was guarding and don't get spotted by any guards or cameras doing it. If you can't do it then you can activate the lure again later. Once you're inside that door. Insert the red keycard to the IT-room door then inside you'll see a whiteboard.

Read The Whiteboard

In the IT-room there is a whiteboard. Read the whiteboard. There will be a model name and the name of a color. If you prefer, write the model name and the name of the color in the chat or just note them down somewhere. The box name and color name is random.

Only the first letter of the model name matters. If the name is L115 then just remember L

Flip The Correct Switch!

Near the staircase you went down to get to the VIP basement there will be a switch room that you can enter using a blue keycard or alternatively enter through the vent by walking alongside the ventilation system leading to it. Once you get inside you'll see a bunch of switch boxes. If you or someone in your team noted down the Model Name and the name of the switch color then that's what you're looking for. For every switch box the model name is above the switches. If you have a hard time seeing the model name you can always open each switch box to see it more clearly. Once you find the model name matching that of the whiteboard you then flip the color of the switch that was written on the whiteboard on the switch box with the correct model name. Now just return to the accountant's office to confirm the opening of the crypto wallet door in the IT-room.

Switchbox model names are in alphabetic order so just remember the alphabet!

▫️ Where Is The Keycards?

Blue Keycard = Bouncer

The Blue Keycard is on the VIP door bouncer's butt it's the bouncer on the right of the door. You can take it when he escorts you out or you can run in the office next to the VIP door to cause noise by leaving the door open and running in the Secure Area. When he investigates the noise sneak out and take the keycard without being spotted.

Red Keycard = Accountant's Office

Inside the accountant's office you can find the red keycard in one of three locations, it's random. In the accountant's shelf, in the accountant's safe or in the accountant's storage closet.

▫️ Vault, Camera Room and IT-room locations?

IT-room = door bouncer

If you see a bouncer standing still guarding a door on either side of the VIP basement then that's where the IT-room is.

The equipment storage can have IT-room or camera room. There *might* be a chance of a vault but have not seen it happen.

Camera Room, Vault or IT-room In long Maintenance (Random)

In the VIP basement you can find either a Camera Room or Vault in the maintenance room below the VIP basement entrance. You can see where the maintenance is by looking at the sign next to the door. The maintenance room is near the VIP basement staircase. The camera room requires a blue keycard but the vault does not so if the door requires a keycard then it's the camera room. If the camera room is in maintenance then the vault is under the accountant's office.

Camera Room or Vault in short maintenance (Random)

In the VIP basement you can find either a Camera Room or Vault underneath the accountant's office. When you walk up the stairs to the accountant's office you can open a vent to immediately see if it's the camera room or vault. Camera room has servers while the vault has walls and a box cart.

▫️ How To Open Vault?

Finding The Codes (VIP Pass):

As soon as you first get down to the VIP basement there will be an office on the other side of the VIP party. Walk down the stairs to the VIP party then head to the other side of the VIP party and follow along to the north-east. The Accountings office has a balcony. Lockpick the doors open then inside. Walk up the stairs. Lockpick the wooden door. Now you're in the Accountings office. Check the codes there is one on the computer chair. One in the little storage room inside the office. And finally one code in the Safe that's inside the shelf near the Accountings computer.

Finding The Codes (No VIP Pass):

You can get there very easily if you have the blue keycard to open the door to your right. Open the vent inside that room. Crouch outside the vent then walk on top of the ventilation system leading to a balcony. If you have a mask on then you can climb the balcony. If you don't have a mask then look under you for some piled up boxes nearby that you can drop down on. Make sure to get a feel for how to drop down on the boxes so that you don't miss them. Fall damage will cause you to put on your mask. Lockpick the door that is near the boxes you dropped down on. Once inside, walk up the stairs to a wooden door. Open the wooden door. Now that you're inside the Accountings office you can find one code on the computer chair, one code in the storage closet and finally one code in the safe inside the shelf near the computer.

Get The Fingerprints

If there is only one code that matches the fingerprints then it's the correct one. In my case my codes were 4524, 1915 and 6261 but because I had no fingerprint on 1 9 or 6 but I had a fingerprint on 4 then the code can only be 4524. It's that simple. You might get a different set of codes so just see if there is a code that match the fingerprints. Use the chat feature or write them down somewhere so you don't have to return to the codes.

You *can* try every possible code combination ever using the fingerprints that you're given but the Accountings office is so easy to get to regardless if you wear a mask or not that it's simply not worth doing.

▫️ 🤡 Skipping Keycards?

If you're masked up, use vents!

There are vents leading into the IT-room, the camera room, the vault and the escape but three of these vents can only be entered while you're masked up. But using the vents can allow you to skip out on using keycards.

▫️ Skipping Switchboxes?

Obtain The Business Card! (VIP Pass)

[Requires VIP Pass] Once you're in the VIP basement you'll have to look for the accountant if you want the business card route. First place to look for the accountant is one of the poker table rooms in the VIP basement. Once you find him the commentator will announce it and mark them with an outline. If you get close to them you can be offered a business card from the accountant. Pick up the business card then go to the question mark symbol telling you where the phone is. The phone is inside the VIP basement maintenance.

Make Accountant Open IT-room

Interact with the phone if you have a business card then the accountant will walk to the IT-room, he will open it up, he will open the keycard door then he will open the crypto wallet door. You can steal the crypto wallet without having to flip any switches but you still need a red keycard because he will close the keycard door on you. If you are too slow or wait it out then the accountant will close the crypto wallet door in the IT-room and return to their poker room so you *can* miss out on it if you don't make it in time. If you miss out then resort to getting the keycard from the accountant's office then open the IT-room door then look at the whiteboard for the model number and color of the power switch you need to flip inside the room locked with a blue keycard near the staircase leading down to the VIP basement that you came from originally.

From the truck to the bathroom

At the start of the heist, if you go to the right towards the truck and mask up. You can climb the truck then get up on the second floor of the club then open up the window leading into the bathroom then go from the bathroom to the nearest grey door to enter the camera hall that leads to Cassandra's office on the right.

Re-Configure The Speakers!

If you re-configure the speakers in this heist by masking up and getting up on the speaker floor above the DJ using vents and you re-configure the four speakers then new music will play that is enough to cause the bouncer from the VIP door to leave the door just to shut it off.

Good for masked up, helping friends or if you have no VIP pass

Once the VIP door is open. To the left there will be a vent shortcut with a cart blocknig it's way. Move it if you know that you will use it or if a friend could use it to get in.

▫️ Elevator Loot Dropdown

From The Upper Floor Elevator To The VIP Basement

In the club 'back' there is a kitchen. Walk down the stairs from the kitchen and a elevator is next to the end of the stairs. The idea is that you enter the VIP basement, go down the stairs, into the poker table room below and next to that poker table you'll find a double door then the elevator door behind that door. Open the elevator door from the VIP basement then you can use the elevator as a dropdown for loot or bodies. You might find some uses with the elevator if you're masked up and you got paintings to steal from the Private booths or Cassandra's Office and you don't want to sneak down the VIP stairs with one painting at a time. You do however risk getting spotted by the poker table civilians as you sneak with the bags so might as well tie them up and put them in the elevator then close the door. Only downside is if guards are in search mode they might go into the elevator shaft for some reason.

Hiding Under The Table

If you are masked up or don't have a VIP pass then in the VIP basement there are tables that have hiding spots inside of them in case you have a problematic guard. Very useful hiding spot.

▫️ Balcony Guard

Watch Your Head

In the VIP basement there is a guard that can jump down the balcony above the maintenance door and can really put you off-guard if you're not prepared. Guards can also jump down the walkway above the train in the VIP basement during search mode.

▫️ 👽 Search Mode Guards

Beware of search mode

If guards are in search mode then they can enter your escape, enter the switchbox room, enter the accountant's office, enter the vault and enter private booths up in the club

Bouncers in the VIP basement will leave the door leading to the IT-room un-guarded if search mode is triggered.

▫️ Securing Loot Misses

Watch The Bags!

Sometimes when you are securing bags, the bags can be thrown in a specific spot in the drop-off where even if the bag is thrown over the boxes the bag will teleport infront of the boxes acting like the bag was thrown out of bounds. Guards can detect the bag. Make sure the bag was secured and disappeared so that it doesn't lie to you and teleport infront of the boxes instead. There is also a chance you throw your bag on top of the boxes but the bag never disappears so you have to grab it again and throw it again, this is an odd one because sometimes bags thrown will disappear immediately but sometimes they will go further into the loot drop-off and still not count as secured. Pay attention!

In the middle of the VIP basement there will be a wall with stickers on it showing the PAYDAY plush disco dancing. There are other places in the VIP basement with this sticker on it.

▫️ VIP Basement Escape Routes

Path A (Accountant's Balcony)

If you're masked up and you're in the accountant's office then climb over the balcony, follow the railings then get to the ventilation system and walk until you get to the vent on the other side. Open the vent then get through the switchbox room then open the door and the escape will be just ahead of you.

Path B (Boxes Next To Train)

If you don't use the accountant's office balcony path to your escape you can also climb up the boxes next to the train to get on top of the walkway that leads to the escape ventilation system.

Path C (Poker Room Vent)

If you're in the poker room with a vent then you can leave that room, sneak through a bar nearby, walk up the stairs, then climb over the fence to get on the ventilation system leading to the escape vent. This however won't work if you have too many civilians at the bar or if you have a guard at the equipment storage that isn't distracted so make sure you can distract them if you have a guard there as well as having the camera not face the stairs as it will spot you if you walk up the stairs with the camera looking.

Party Crasher

Complete Rock The Cradle without having the VIP invitation in stealth on Hard or above.

• Simply open the office door next to the VIP door. Enter the office then make sure no guards are nearby or a camera is looking at you. Start running in the office for a short amount of time until the VIP bouncers hear the noise. Leave the office as they will investigate the noise coming from the office. Sneak past them you can use the bar or the curtains to hide from them outside the office. Take the blue keycard from the bouncer's butt then open the VIP door using the blue keycard. If you fail just keep doing it. Once you're past the VIP door using the blue keycard you continue the heist as usual except with guards and cameras trying to get you all the time but it's really not that bad in this heist on any mode because there is many hiding spots and guards have very predictable patrols. But if you have it, definetely put a MicroCam on a wall overlooking the area or if you have MotionSensor put it on a guard that you're unsure how they patrol and you're set. Having the skill Glitch Protocol is *huge* in this heist because it will save you a lot of time if you get caught in both Private and Secure areas anywhere in the heist.

(Loud) You can take the blue keycard, open the VIP door, open the vent to the IT-room then read the whiteboard then restart, (stealth) then follow the stealth method of distracting the VIP bouncers at the VIP door then immediately flip the right switch to save you time doing this achievement

Recommended Skills:

• Infiltrator
  
• Quick Fingers

Infiltrator and Quick Fingers are used because there are plenty of doors to lockpick so it just saves you time. Use Infiltrator ACE if you want to be extra safe because if a guard starts to detect you picking a door then you can instantly lockpick it and go inside to hide from the guard. You can also go through the front of the club if you have this skill and just slide through.

• Social Engineering

Grifter and Social Engineering is used to save you time with Cassandra because sometimes she will appear in the stairs when you're in a bad spot and she will detect you. Or getting past that civilian in that one Secure office on the first floor. Also good for getting the money bag on the poker table and also if you use the accountant then not being detected by him is nice too.

• Glitch Protocol

Secure Loop is for saving you lots of time with the cameras and can make objectives easy. Appliance Breach is to activate lures without having to get up to them, used in for example moving the bouncer from the door leading to the IT-room. Glitch Protocol gives you unlimited chances if you're unmasked, but remember the 60 second cooldown. If you want to get really cozy then you can do Hacker ACE with Secure Loop since there are plenty of situations where there are two cameras in one place meaning you don't even have to think about cameras for each room.

Recommended Loadout:

• Standard Lining (Movement Speed)

Use the least amount of armor to gain movement speed. Can really save you in certain situations that would normally get you caught with any heavier armor.

• Motion Sensor (Put On Guards)

Put motion sensors on guards that move around a lot so that you never have to think about them because you can see them through the walls constantly... really good if you have a lead guard put it on him.
