How to play and enjoy Stones of Solace

Simple guide - for simple game.
If you aren't sure what to do in the game - or with it - look here!

How to play

Very simple - you only need your mouse for that:

• Click on the idol to begin making your offering.
  
• Pick whatever item you want with your LMB - hold it while moving around!
  
• Rotate that item with your RMB.
  
• Found that perfect place? Put it down by releasing your LMB!

That's it! You've learned the basics!
From now - rinse and repeat as much as you want... or not at all.

Remove last peace that you put down if you don't like it - there's Undo button.
When you are done - press Done!

How to enjoy the game

Yep.
Just do it!

Possible issues and troubleshooting

Problem - It's too loud!
Solution - Sorry, no volume meter in-game. ON or OFF only. Adjust your computer sound!

Problem - It doesn't autosave my screenshots!
Solution - Check that option is active in the menu (it's in the top right on the opening screen)



If it still doesn't work - check that you are online! For whatever reason it doesn't take screenshots while Steam is in offline mod or if you are not connected to the internet in general, or if your computer clock is out of sync (while you are time-travelling ;P )

And if you still want to play while offline (or has to) - remember, you can take screenshots yourself! Just time it right, that's it!

Problem - Achievements don't show on profile showcase and don't count for total!
Solution - Get every one of your friends and family (and also their dog / cat / hamster or even fish!) to play the game! Make and post screenshots and art! Push Steam to fully integrate the game so profile features stop being limited!

Problem - I've been making plates and offering them to a few idols for a few days now and yet to earn an achievement! What am I doing wrong?
Possible reason for that happening - Idols change daily, not in a certain order but at random.
If you play every day - then you get those that needed for achievement every 3rd day.
If you miss a day - then it resets in a way that it starts counting from "day one" again - and you might get totally new idols or those that you already had before. It is possible to get one that gives achievement - but most likely it will give you other idols at first.
Solution - play daily. Or check another guide - by anrkyuk - to get all achievements in one day and get it out of your hair... just beware of automatic screenshots not working while you are at it.

Or at least make someone laugh.
Either way - I did it just for fun, because I had fun with the game, because I want more people to have fun and enjoy this little gem.

Nothing wrong - it's just idols change at random.
If you play every day - then you get those that needed for achievement every 3rd day.
If you miss a day - then it resets in a way that it starts counting for "day one" again - even though you might get totally new idols or those that you already had before.
As far as I know - day counts according to you local computer time, at midnight.
And it even possible to get 2 idols in one session - if you do one right before midnight and then get to menu and back to idols again after new day starts then you get a new idol.

I sometimes... invent... words - or use them in different ways... And not always deliberately...
Comes with English being a second language.
So - I'm used to word-plays and people around me often trying to figure out what exactly I mean...
And then I guess I extrapolate it to other people too. Things often go both ways, you know...
Plus, it's not always clear if it's deliberate or not in written form - you understand how much tone and posture and mimics matter when you don't have them to convey those subtleties...
And besides - even when it is clear... It's hard to pass an opportunity for a joke!
