How to Run Slide

(For PC, at least that I'm aware of) Hate revealing your position in combat or how slow crouching is in Payday 3? Miss how in Payday 2, you could jump crouch around in stealth with no NPC realizing there's an armed criminal in a Couch Baby mask hopping around? Well I have the solution for you! Quick Crouch Slide, as I call it, is basically the Payday 2 equivalent of jump crouching for stealth. It greatly speeds up crouching during stealth.

How to Run Slide

The Quick Crouch Slide is an easy technique. I stumbled upon it accidentally in stealth and tested its capabilities thoroughly. It makes crouch walking faster, doesn't force you to stand up/reveal your position, and it acts like a full slide and not a short slide.

Note: A short slide occurs if you slide in immediate succession without letting at least a couple seconds pass between slides. Also, you must be masked up to do QCS.

Step 1: Crouch

Step 2: Walk forward

Step 3: While you are crouch walking forward, press the run key (Left Shift) and immediately, in one fluid motion, press the crouch key (Left CTRL). I basically slide my pinkie finger across shift+ctrl to do this. If you did this correctly, there should have been no animation for standing up and running, your character should've instantly slid across the floor.

Step 4: Repeat steps 2 & 3 and enjoy being a floor mop.

Okay so apparently guards can still hear the slide. I'm not sure why they didn't hear me when I played on my craptop because I was definitely close enough for the guards to hear me. However, It's still really useful to utilize in stealth to get you out of a pinch. It takes some practice to get the motion going, but it's much quicker than crouch walking and a safer method of moving around quickly without running.

Because of my crap top the cops can't hear me sliding*

Might be because of my crap top, but I honestly have no idea why it works differently. On my crap top it works like that. Sometimes on actual computers that can run the game above 40fps I can get it to work, but sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I tried this in Touch the Sky. Guards can still hear the sliding, so be careful.
