I currently have 243ish hours and I spend 90% of that time drone bombing the masses. I've tested a bunch of different methods of drone bombing to become to best drone bomber I can be. I have got 98 drone bomb kills in a single game Full Video with that kill linked

and I average getting around 60-70 per game. So in short ive spent hella time drone bombing and have been extremely consistent doing it for awhile now and I feel like I have a lot fo good information about it both for those new to drone bombing and those who have been doing it for awhile and want to get better

Text Drone Bombing Tips

First thing I want to say is that drones have incredibly low health and can be shot done but pretty much any gun if it 3 times sometimes only 1 or 2 shots are required so you must do a good job avoiding the enemy.
Do not be worried if people complain and say that you are exploiting or cheating etc. as you learn more about drone bombing it will become very apparent that the devs purposely added this into the game and I have been reported for griefing/exploiting a million times by salty players who got too close to my death drone and I upload a bunch of videos drone bombing and im still not banned.
The best game mode to play on to drone bomb is 127v127 dom as there are no vehicles more tickets and smaller maps.
To be able to drone bomb you need to be level 30 and use either the squad leader or recon class. You equip ap mines and the drone as your gadgets. (C4 can be used but you must exit the drone to blow it up or have a friend place C4 and clay mores have terrible hitbox on the drone and you will be frustrated s you do cartwheels inside someone and it doesn't blow up.)
To fly the drone you hold space to go up e to go down. The drones have a range of about 350m if you go near this limit the drone view will start to be glitch and if you exceed this limit then you will start to lose control of your drone and could lose control completely until you move closer to wherever you lost it at. The drone will not move when you are not controlling it so if you lose it dont worry just move closer until you are within the range and start flying again.
The more things you put on your drone the slower it goes up and is able to turn but also more explosives generally means better damage/range and it drops slower. This means if you decide to fly up super high and drop down on people (my preferred method) its best to put as many mines as you can on the drone (currently can only place 4 before the despawn) If you want to fly low and fast you can go with 2 mines and you still move very fast.
When you are high drone bombing if you fly your drone up a little bit and then shoot it on the underside (dont shoot the mines or they will go boom) it will shoot the drone high up in the air to start you at a much higher altitude. Then when you find you target and fly at them you should try to time your decent so that you hit the ground/target at the exact moment you are on them. If you try to just fly straight down instead of at a fast diagonal line they will generally shoot you as drone make a lot of noise and make even more noise when you are holding shift to sprint.
Some maps have a big black box in the back of the spawn area where you can resupply if you cannot find this box or if the map doesn't have one then you cannot get your drones back unless you die.
The best maps to drone bomb on are old and new namak. Both namaks have resupply boxs in the spawn and the maps are small and have a lot of choke points. This means your drone can reach pretty much anywhere on the map and big groups form often. I made a short video on how to bomb on namak and why its so great

If the Devs didn't intend for this to be doable, i'd think they'd have done something by now. I think it more likely they Coded Explosives to be allowed to stick onto Drones on purpose, thus they WANT us to try such shenanigans. Besides, it's not like Drone Bombs are completely devoid of Counterplay... I strongly suspect the possibility that Drones are very noisy little buggers on purpose. ;P
