Project 106-1 Typhoon Class Battleship

Project 106 is Broadsword's pride of the fleet, though with all her might she was beginning to show her age. Orders were given for a full ship rebuild, with brand new weapons suite, a new superstructure, and updated more efficient machinery.

The first major change was the turrets, which may seem familiar to the previous fit, but are vastly different internally, featuring anti-cookoff measures to ensure no turret detonations will happen if turret damage is sustained. Next, the superstructure was entirely removed and replaced with a far more practical merged superstructure. Brand new fire control systems were developed and fitted on the top and sides of the superstructure, allowing for far more accurate firing solutions. After that, new variants of the preexisting turret were built, with a smaller, more compact, turret cap. A brand new CIWS system was installed shortly after consisting of four very large turrets firing 150 mm rounds at 500 rounds per minute, ensuring any size of missile is no longer a threat. The laser defense grid was updated to ensure more coverage and eliminate blind spots, in case the CIWS gets overwhelmed. The final step was directed towards increasing overall efficency, with new turbine systems and power generation, leading to lower material cost and decreasing the already massive energy draw.
