Diamonds in the Sky | Side Job Guide
By Volter
This is a guide for the Diamonds in the Sky | Side Job, and how to unlock the North Star Rifle attachments from it.
I didn't see any guide that had been made for it, so i made one for the people looking for one.

The Side Job

The event is long over.

And i'm sure you came to this guide wondering, how you are supposed to get 1000 Double Kills with the North Star Rifle at a comfortable pace.

Considering the weapon is rather weak, lacks ammo and is very inaccurate, you probably wonder how i did it quite fast.

Well, i'll tell ya!
So strap in and read carefully.
The Build
Your Perk Deck of choice to complete this Side Job is Sicario.

The reason you pick Sicario is because of the Perk Deck's 7th Card, where upon dodging, your armor replenishes.

This way enemies can't damage your health.

I would also recommend you take the Sneaky Bastard skill and the Two-Piece Suit to maximize your dodge.

Now your North Star Rifle needs to have as much Accuracy as possible.

Get the attachments of your choice and remember to get the Steady Grip skill to maximize the rifle's accuracy.

Graze
DON'T USE GRAZE

Double Kills and shots that pass through multiple targets don't count with Graze

Don't use it.

Mutators
Mutators work for this Side Job.

And that cuts down the utter monotony of this Side Job by a good bunch.

Mutators can be found here.

Now select the Hydras mutator in the Gameplay tab, then click the wrench icon and change it's value to 4.

This ensures we can continue shooting in the same area multiple times, and gives us Double Kill targets.
The Heist
The heist you want to do this Side Job on is The Biker Heist. The Biker Heist has the most special enemies that can split with the Hydras mutator.

Special Enemies are Tasers, Cloakers etc.

But, Special Enemies are also enemies with a different model.

These enemies are
  • Bikers
  • First Responders
  • Mobsters
Basically any basic enemy that has a set spawn can be split with the Hydras mutator. The Biker Heist has both Bikers and First Responders in large amounts and that is how you get the Double Kills for this Side Job.

Also the female Bikers are not affected by the Hydras mutator, because... i dunno
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you don't own the DLC. Alternatively Watchdogs Day 1 has cops surrounding the meat truck and work just aswell.

_

No Mercy sounds like a solid option for this Side Job, but unfortunately it does not contain Special Enemies. (Except higher difficulties and this guide focuses on Special Enemies to be one-shot.)

Also of note; the accuracy of the North Star Rifle doesn't work well in the long wide hallways of No Mercy. (Before making this guide, i made attempts to do this Side Job on the No Mercy heist with the Hydras mutator, but it just didn't work well enough.)

The Strategy
To ensure we kill the enemies in one hit play the heist on Normal. Also of note turn Team AI Off to prevent your teammates from stealing your kills. Also Restart the heist when you run out of Hydras mutator enemies.
Video
This video showcases the results from following this guide.

The End
That is how you get the 2 attachments for the North Star Rifle at a good pace.

I haven't tried them myself, but for those completionists it's good to just get them.

Thank you for reading my guide. I hope it helped.

Give me a thumbs up, a favourite, a clap and pat on the back.

And Enjoy your new attachments.

Okay so this may have been something that was changed in the latest patch, but what it counts as double kills with the hydra mutator seems to be really picky. I think it's either that the killed units needs to be at the end of the hydra chain, or at the beginning. Either way, you will need way more double kills than you actually do.
I'm leaning towards it being at the end of chains because I was doing this with a friend and we noticed I had very few Cloaker kills at the end while they had 0, even though we both killed plenty of Cloakers. I kept getting Cloakers at the end of chains from bulldozers though, so that might be where I got them from.
Also, clone army does not work for the Cloaker kills. I understand why it doesn't but it still makes the side-job a pain in the ass.

for peak performance, do use No Mercy, but with crew AI, Hydras (4) and Clone Army (shields) and those damn cops will breed like hen-tie protagonists (the AI will be there to help in the face of obscene quantities of tasers and cloakers that will happen. I got over 700 double kills in 1 go this way). Be sure to bring explosives and Fully Loaded Aced to provide a backup in case the hordes become too thick to *walk* through (i used a Piglet from the Bitcher BBQ DLC)

truely wish i knew about this sooner.
also warning for people: for some reason, something causes stuff exclusive to Very Hard or higher (medics, Dozers, etc) will spawn even when on normal difficulty, thankfully one of the splits when killing medics is a Cloaker so you get to work on Constellation Prize as well
