How to fix performance

BEFORE WE START: YOU CAN'T PLAY ONLINE WITH THIS METHOD, BUT ITS ONE OF THE EASIEST FIXES I'VE SEEN.

I WENT FROM 30-50 FPS IN THE MENU TO A LOCKED 120 FPS. NO MORE STUTTERING IN THE GAME AT ALL.

BEFORE WE START: YOU CAN'T PLAY ONLINE WITH THIS METHOD, BUT ITS ONE OF THE EASIEST FIXES I'VE SEEN.

1: Rename "start_protected_game.exe" to "start_protected_game_original.exe"

2: Rename the armored core executable to "start_protected_game.exe"

THIS WILL RUN ARMORED CORE WITHOUT ANTICHEAT RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND WHEN LAUNCHED THROUGH STEAM

3: Download Process Hacker

4: Run Armored Core and alt+tab to the desktop with the game running.

5: Run process hacker and scroll down the list of active processes until you find armored core.

6: Right click armored core and hover over "affinity". Then select "set affinity" untick "core-0". Now under the "affinity" tab, select "save for armoredcore.exe".

7: Once again, right click the armored core process and hover over "priority". Select "High". Now under the "priority" tab, select "save for armoredcore.exe".

THIS DISABLES THE GAME RUNNING ON CORE-0 AND SETS THE PRIORITY OF THE EXECUTABLE HIGHER SO THE GAME ISNT GETTING THROTTLED BY BACKGROUND PROCESSES IN WINDOWS.

WHEN SELECTING "save for armoredcore.exe", IT JUST SAVES THESE SETTINGS, SO YOU DONT NEED TO REAPPLY THEM AFTER A REBOOT. JUST RUN PROCESS HACKER AND START THE GAME.

I don't have an affinity tab, so there's no option to save there. What do I do?

The best thing is when i use this mode to play, i can load the game no issues 100% of the times. If i load the game regularly, i get CTD that nuke my GPU drivers and force me to manually fix their settings. Easy anticheat is easily pure laggy BS.

Just to clarify, can you run the game as default without undoing all this? Allowing us to pvp then solo quickly and easily? Thank you for the guide.

30-50 becomes 70-80, but gpu still doesn't give a shit and runs on 15-20% :(

This fixed my CTD when loading a savegame. 24 core processor.
