This guide describes how to obtain most (more under Info) badges for Morrow's Reach.

Please comment if something isn't understandable or if anything is missing

Info

Some badges are so straight forward that they're not specified in this guide:

• Back To the Marley (Use all Tears)
  
• Choose your landing (Use all landing spots)
  
• Twin Peaks (Cross the wooden bridge at the top)
  
• First Step (Finish the mission)
  
• Risky Venture (Do not unleash a memory, i.e. don't reload a quicksave)
  
• No Time Tinkering (Don't use Afias Time Freeze)
  
• Clean Sweep (Kill all guards in the mission)

Island Badges

Through the Ranks

Kill 5 different guard types at the same time

This can be easily done in the last mission The Captain's Treasure since you have every type in multiple places (except Kindred). I recommend doing this when doing Clean Sweep badge (kill all guards in the mission). Just leave one of every type and at the end kill them all together in one shadow mode action. The guard types are:

• Acolyte
  
• Commisarius
  
• Iudex

• Prognosticar

Long Way Down

Make someone fall for more than 30 meters

Disclaimer: The comments pointed out that this badge might be bugged. If it doesn't work for you, do it in the mission The Captain's Treasure. Use Gaëlle to carry a body up there in your Kanol and shoot them into the sea.

This can be done in every mission except Red Marley Rising because you don't have access to the "mountains" here. There is also no guard on the Marleys crow's nest, which might've been high enough.

Lost In Time

Throw someone into the water basin at the island's heart

This can only be done in the mission The Captain's Treasure. The title of this badge aims at the Time Soul being at this position at this point of time.

It seems like this can also be done on the A Ship Needs A Crew mission if you find the right place to throw a body down there.

Red Marley Rising

Minimalist Approach

Don't use any distractions

Distractions are only active skills of your team, like Time Freeze or Wander Dust. Everything else, like luring guards with tracks in the sand or letting them see bodies on the ground is not considered for this badge and can be used.

I Like A Challenge

Don't board the Marley via the chain

When you spot the Marley for the first time, at the area with 3 guards where you enter the chain, you can instead go to the right and use Blink to take an alternative route.


There are no guards whatsoever, but you can go there, just pass through and then enter the Marley from the other side again via Blink.

Sequence Break

Get past the Prognasticar without killing them

Right after you enter the area with the Prognosticar, you can run through the water right behind them (it's neccessary to run so you're louder). They will then turn around, so you have to crouch right away. Then you have to be quick, because they turn around again and since their viewcone is yellow then, they will immediatly stun you, so be not afraid to use Blink to get out of their viewcone and then run towards the ladder.


Optionally, you can also kill the guard next to him and place the body behind the Prognosticar, which will give you a little more time, but also raise an alarm.

Just Passing Through

Don't attack anyone on the Marley except the Custodes

The "trick" here is, when you attack a Custodes, all guards in a certain radius are going to be catatonic, which is basically the same as being dead in this game. So if you wait until the maximum of possible guards are around the custodes, kill them and then sneak around the ones being left. For the last guard standing right in front of your last objective, use Time Freeze and run to it, because as soon as you trigger the event, the mission is finished

A Ship Needs a Crew

Punishment Interrupted

Turn 5 guards catatonic at once

This is pretty easy, as there are basically 4 guards already in the custodes radius. One of them is running through the Area of Effect, so you only have to kill the custodes in the right moment. For the last one, I recommend using Suleidys Wander Dust on the one guard that stands near the custodes. Not the one staying in front of the table, because he can get stuck there.

Surgical Precision

Do not attack more than 4 guards and do not trigger alarm

Pretty straight forward, but there are a couple of things to keep in mind. I recommend doing this mission with Afia and Suleidy, because the Skills Time Freeze, Wander Dust and Cover Seeds are your best friends here. The catatonic state of guards doesn't count into the kills.

I recommend your attacks/kills to be

• The Custodes *
  
• One of the Acolytes in the tear area that are not affected by the custode
  
• The Acolyte on the Tower looking towards Teresa and pinkus
  
• The Commisarius standing right in front of Teresa

* Quite possibly the Custodes doesn't coun't in general (which I'm currently not sure if bug or feature), but since I personally didn't need any more kills, I leave the fourth one open (maybe for one guard that is standing near the tear just to make things a little easier when collecting your crewmates)

Land Route

Finish mission without swimming

The only situation where you normally have to swim is right at the start. You can easily avoid this if you take Toya with you, lure the guard on top with Bird's Voice onto the little dock where the ladder is mounted, then use Blink to kill the guard and move on his position with Afia.


Now drop the ladder for Toya and finish the mission.

Solo Navigator

Finish the mission with only Afia in your team

The trick here is to have her upgraded skill Grand Blink unlocked to use it on the first guard, because otherwise you can't move up there. The rest is normal gameplay.

The Captain's Treasure

Boarding Party

Board all Inquisition Ships and take down their crew

There are several ships in the area, some of them with guards on them. Step on each of them once and kill every guard on a ship. Since you have every crewmate in your team, skills like Gaëlles Kanol are very helpful here.

For the biggest ship, there is a position where you can shoot your crewmates without any guard noticing the sound, you only have to blind one guard with Teresas Ashen Judgement (Screenshot follows). From there you can quite easily take out the whole ship.


Also, when killing all guards in this mission, don't forget the lonely guy you see in the screenshot in the back, he's easily missable

Strength In Numbers

Kill 3 Prognosticars at the same time

There are 5 Prognosticars on the island. I recommend doing this badge together with Clean Sweep (Kill all guards in this mission). Just leave them alive till the end, then kill 3 of them at once using shadow mode and you're done.

True Ghosts

Finish the mission without raising alarm

Pretty straight forward. Remember, if you raise an alarm, you can unleash a memory (fast reload) and try again.

Great Pretender

Take control of Ignacia with Pinkus

For this, only remember: Ignacia works like a Prognosticar, so you have to use any skill to her first before taking over with Pinkus.

It seems like there's a bug currently and it only works if Pinkus isn't controlling another guard the moment you try and take over Ignacia

For "Clean Sweep" badge on "The Captain's Treasure": The badge is not granted, if Pinkus controls one of the guards at the end of the mission.
Also, Afia can get stuck on the big ship. After killing Ignacia, it is not possible to reload, but Afia is required to finish the mission.
Teresa also needs to climb to the highest point on the island as a part of her badge. That can be done in "The Captain's Treasure". The mountain is next to the big ship.
Quentin needs to pull someone up a high distance on this island as well. Can be done in that mission at that mountain also.

[Krapoutchniek]

For Punishment Interrupted, there is only 3 guards in the area and one patrolling. You need to send another guard in the area when attacking the custodes.

[Philadelphus]

It's possible to get Boarding Party with Zagan instead of Teresa (though not easy). Launch Zagan over to the indicated spot, he'll get seen while recovering by the Acolyte who walks around, but his passive will stun the Acolyte long enough for him to recover. Then, carefully time things and run up the back deck behind the Comissarius looking over the main deck. Zagan can take the three people up there down himself, them he can stun the walking Acolyte while you launch additional crew over to help take out the rest.

Great Pretender: It seems like there's a bug currently and it only works if Pinkus isn't controlling another guard the moment you try and take over Ignacia

Update to the below post: I seem to actually have "Lost to time" even though I didn't do it in "Captain's Treasure" - maybe it doesn't update immediately, or wasn't displayed in "A Ship Needs a Crew" mission summary? Just guessing now, though.

For "Surgical precision" in "A Ship Needs a Crew" Custodes counts as "guard". I just played it and after killing both Kindred, I lost a badge because I killed 5 guards in total. I played again without killing Commisarius on the beach and earned a badge.

For "Surgical Precision" in "A Ship Needs a Crew", the Custodes kill absolutely counts, I think. While trying to get all achievements at once, I failed the badge after taking out (1) the Custodes, (2) one of the guards watching the tear, (3) the guard on the watchtower looking over Teresa and Pinkus, and (4) the guard in the same area standing on the beach.

You can get "Lost In Time" badge in "A Ship Needs a Crew", too. Just drop somebody in this basin without Time Soul.
