Looking Up I See Only A Ceiling - Basic Guide and Achievements

This is a quick, basic guide to Looking Up I See Only A Ceiling.
All endings will be marked as spoilers.

Gameplay and Guide Basics

Layout and button names

The pause button at the top left will allow you to return to the main menu.
For gameplay, there are five named buttons.
These buttons are shown in the images below. Throughout this guide, the buttons will be referred to as Inspect (?), Move, Observe, Pickup/Use, and Rotate.

Achievement List

There are 15 achievements in total for this game.

Automatic story achievements

Cleaner
Reach Checkpoint 1.

Confused but still sane
Reach Checkpoint 2.

Window invader
Reach Checkpoint 3.

What is happening here?
Reach Checkpoint 4.

Out of the loop
Reach Checkpoint V-B. (The good ending)

Surrendered
Reach Checkpoint V-A. (The bad ending)

Had enough
Unlock both good and bad ending.

Deep sleep
Unlock the Secret Ending.

Achievements that take extra action within the story

Takeaway is the better option
Do the wrong thing 3 times in a row while making breakfast.

Just curious
Talk 3 times to the man while he’s working before leaving his place.

Honor student
Read both books on your desk while looking for the bathroom key.

Time's up
Check the bathroom’s shower before going into the attic.

Explore mode achievements

A step forward
Use Explore Mode.

Do not disturb
Find the authors of the game working in the Explore Mode.

Moving on
Interact with EVERYTHING (at least once) in Explore Mode.

Chapter 1 Walkthrough

Upon starting the game you will be in a cutscene where you are waking up. Leave the bedroom using the bottom "Move" button.

Go to the kitchen using the "Move" button on the right side of the screen, then the "Move" button at the far end of the hall.
Once in the kitchen, press the "Inspect" button at the top of the screen three times.
UNLOCKS TAKEAWAY IS THE BETTER OPTION

Press the "Pickup/Use" button on the left to grab silverware, then the "Rotate" button on the right to get to the other side of the kitchen. Press "Use" on the refrigerator, then "Use" on the table. Once you are done eating, "Rotate" back to the other side of the kitchen. "Observe" the sink and "Inspect" the scissors.

Chapter 2 Walkthrough

"Move" from the kitchen, then follow the pathway using the upper "Move" button. Go through the halls and the exit until you see a person who runs towards you and falls. "Observe" the person on the floor.
"Pickup" the calendar. "Inspect" the calendar. This will prompt a conversation with the person.
"Inspect" the person 3 times after the conversation.
UNLOCKS JUST CURIOUS

Return home using the upper "Move" button
UNLOCKS CHECKPOINT 2

Chapter 3 Walkthrough

Go to the bathroom using the bottom "Move" button. "Use" the door to the bathroom, this will prompt you to retrieve the bathroom key. Go to the bedroom, "Rotate" to the desk. "Inspect" both books on the desk.
UNLOCKS HONOR ROLL (@Tsukichild mentioned it is important to "Inspect" the left book before the right book for this achievement.)

"Inspect" the right book once more to retrieve the key. "Observe" the window at the desk, then "Inspect" the treeline. This will prompt a conversation with the person once more.

Chapter 4 Walkthrough

Go back to the bathroom and open the door. "Move" into the bathroom, then "Rotate" to the sink. "Observe" the mirror and "Use" the cabinet to open it. "Use" the toothpaste, toothbrush and mouthwash.
"Move" back to the main part of the bathroom and watch the cutscene. "Observe" the newly formed pit and "Inspect" the pit. "Move" back to the main part of the bathroom to prompt another conversation. "Move" out of the bathroom.
UNLOCKS CHECKPOINT 4

Good Ending

From checkpoint 4.
Use the "Move" button on the right to go into the hallway. The hallway will fill with water. Go to the bathroom and "Observe" the shower. "Inspect" the person in the water.
UNLOCKS TIMES UP
Go back to the bedroom and "Rotate" to the desk. "Observe" the closet to open it, then "Pickup" the tool on the left of the closet. Go to the kitchen, "Observe" the sink, and "Inspect" the scissors to pick them up.

Return to the hall in front of the bedroom. "Observe" the ceiling, "Inspect" the attic door, and "Move" forward to enter the attic.
"Move" forward twice after entering the attic. There will be a final cutscene here.
UNLOCKS CHECKPOINT V-B
UNLOCKS HAD ENOUGH (if you previously completed the bad ending)

Bad Ending

From checkpoint 4.
Use the "Move" button on the right to go into the hallway. The hallway will fill with water. Go to the bathroom and "Observe" the shower. "Inspect" the person in the water.
UNLOCKS TIMES UP
Go back to the bedroom and "Rotate" to the desk. "Observe" the closet to open it, then "Pickup" the tool on the left of the closet.

Return to the hall in front of the bedroom. "Observe" the ceiling, "Inspect" the attic door, and "Move" forward to enter the attic.
"Move" forward twice after entering the attic. There will be a final cutscene here.
UNLOCKS CHECKPOINT V-A
UNLOCKS HAD ENOUGH (if you previously completed the good ending)

Secret Ending

Start (or restart) the game. After waking up in the initial cutscene, "Inspect" the bed 3 times.
UNLOCKS DEEP SLEEP

Extra Achievements Walkthrough

After completing a game ending, explore mode should be available on the main menu. Open the explore mode.
UNLOCKS A STEP FORWARD (@RobertJPaynter mentioned that explore mode is only accessed by completing the Good Ending)

Interact with EVERYTHING in explore mode.
UNLOCKS MOVING ON

Press the "Inspect" button on the left side of the closet 3 times.
UNLOCKS DO NOT DISTURB

Many thanks for this - it was really helpful. By the way, I completed the bad ending first (before I had read your guide) and that didn't unlock Explore mode; it appears that Explore mode is only unlocked by the good ending.

Just as an added word, you need to look at the left book first. If you look at the right book first, you won't get the achievement.
