Cooks Job
The main job as Cook is getting blood. Yes, Sissy has a higher starting base for blood collecting but her expertise can be used else where like setting traps for survivors and can pursue victims easier.

Soon as the match (Depending on where you've started.) Padlock the doors that lead via Exits. That could be the Car battery or Gen Exit. Some have two doors out. One might have a latch and the other latchless. Of course Padlock the door without a latch.

After that move straight into collecting blood. Press you Middle mouse and it will highlight the blood buckets around the map for you. Once you've reached 100 Blood feed grandpa. Waking up grandpa is your main prio along with getting him levelled asap.

Once Gramps is awake he will yell revealing the location of survivors doing stupid ♥♥♥♥ like running around. The more spicy meals you cook up for gramps the more he will Yell.

To improve your blood harvesting you need to spend you ability points. As you can see below I stacked mine into blood harvesting. Allowing me to carry more blood and harvest more.

The tree path I took to get the highest possible blood harvest is below.

Siphon will be the first one you get.

Later on when you get higher level you'll overcap on blood. It's best to increase the amount you can carry blood banker helps with this.

The big one is Universal dono, This perk when leveled increases your blood harvested by a flat % all the way to 40% which is insane.

Your second job which comes later on is spotting survivors with your sense. If it's a level one which I'm assuming it is it's kinda pointless unless survivors are out the basement. However to combat this once you've level it up you can spend the level up points to get it so when you spot a survivor using senor it shows the whole family. Good for buba in basement early on.

Hopefully this is helpful. I'll update as I find more perks etc etc.

Maps and where to padlock
I do not take credit for these maps. They all go to Keller Max. These maps might be out dated as this was from tech test.

Look at the padlock symbol on the map for places to lock up

On the family House the main front door is a key point to lock. It's high traffic for the family to pass by and it forces them out the window. ( This is the door leading to the generator out front ) Along with the other two padlocks I like to do the back door and the gate.

On gas Station I lock up the gates. The Hydro exit is also a high active family zone so it's worth doing on the two front gates and the back one.

Slaughter house is by far the hard one in my opinion. There is 6 doors that doors that lead out to the car battery exit. 2 then 2 then 2. The second lot has a latch on the right door you can lock. Meaning you can lock up the left one. It's 50/50 if you choose to lock up the second lot or the third lot.

Then you have generator exit again which is another 2 doors. It's your call on how the games going out to lock them up.

The following basement maps are from Reddit user 0x2c28 From r/TexasChainsawGame

Late game cook
So the games been out a few days now and people are starting to get map awareness so games are starting to last longer.

When using the Blood banker perk it kinda becomes Void late on in the game as you'd of reached level 5 with Granpda.

To counter this I've suggest using a different perk = Via-Lent

This perk just gives you an overall damage increase which can help bash down them pesky victims on the late games. It's in the same skill tree as before.

MUST READ!!!!!!!!!

I've recently found out if you are using the flat Attribute perks such as Siphon , Feral Or Unrelenting Please make sure you pick the perk first before adding your attribute points! The reason for this is you max out at 50, then if you add the perk points you have 7 doing nothing and can be used in endurance!
Family house
This is more of a meme really but you can tell from the start I had grandpapa to level 1 in 46 seconds. ( In this video i sped it up by x4 just to narrow it down ) But you can get a jist of my play style in this.

Leatherfaces job
People have asked me a few times now if I'll branch out to the other members of the family so here is a brief Buba overview. Soon as the game starts I turn the chainsaw on and go. Removing and obstacles that might be in the way and soon as I see a Victim I just run for them. I always make sure to keep my chainsaw rev meter at around 70-80%. Keep an eye on it at first but once you play him enough you'll start getting used to the noise que of the engine screaming before it overheats.

When the Chainsaw is above Buba's head you know your going in for a heavy attack. Does a lot more damage than the standard side attacks. Also I feel as if he runs a lot more faster when it's above his head. ( If someone could confirm this???? )

Way I see Buba it's all about aggression early on.

The following perks I use are :

Big Swings, Which works perfect with

Hysterical Strength. The idea of this is the Run around around finding the victims so your stamina is low. Which procs the perk "Hysterical Strength" Meaning that we'd hit them with 35% increased damage. However we can bolster this by running

Via-Lent, Which when your blood pool is full it increase it by a further 20% giving us a total of 55% increase damage on hit. ( Of course these numbers are based off the perks being level 3 )

For my grandpa Ability I went

Attributes

You can see my stats below.

Now you may have noticed that I have 3 points left over and have not put any in blood harvesting. The reason for this is because we want to be able to have a smaller blood pool to proc Hysterical Strength. If we put more points into Blood harvesting our pool size increases, Ontop of that I know we gain more blood on hit but how much ?? I don't know.

I know right now with the standard default blood harvesting our blood pool is 81. If you kill 1 person you'll max your blood pool out.

You might be saying well why are you not feeding gramps? Personally I don't think it's viable for leatherface to be doing it. With his movement speed and raging around the maps I think he should be focused on doin the killings and leaving Cook/Sissy to feed gramps.

Leatherface Downtime

So lets say your out of basement and you have no eyes on victims just run around and break obstacles to make it easier for your other team mates. Also remember you can break down doors. Just doing this alone gives you points.

Tip

When your breaking obstacles you are locked into an animation. But you can cancel this animation by swinging once the barrier is broken and you can instantly start revving. ( Think it holds you there for a second or two )

Again this is just my way of playing him. Good luck.

Do you remember where you got the original maps? I looked up Keller Max but didn't find anything online. I'm wondering if they've done any updates (like adding more toolbox locations).

Thanks for the confirmation.

You certainly do run faster when Leatherface is raging with the chainsaw over his head. It closes the gap and passes up any other family member in a chase.

If your looking at the gas station map. The Two gets on the east should be locked due to the easy escape for victims. Then the north/West gate on the west side. Container ain't really a high active area since its behind the house. But thank you! Hopefully that's clear.

Awesome guide! Just a point of feedback (confusion for me, mostly):

"On gas Station I lock up the gates. The Hydro exit is also a high active family zone so it's worth doing on the two front gates and the back one."

Which front gates? The ones next to the house? The exit ones? Could you use North/Est/etc.. or add numbers to the exits? Would be great!

bubba does run faster with his chainsaw above his head

I believe we won't get any disadvantages by increasing the blood harvesting attribute. I bet the number of blood gained with hits, kills and harvests is a % based.

Endurance high stamina Cook > Blood Cook. You only need 27 points into Blood Harvesting to always level up Grandpa when having full blood.
