The Modes
The game has a lot of content, but to anyone who wishes to have more, some players have come up with a new way of making your life harder. You probably know the extra challenge modes become available to you as soon as you get the first four stars after beating 20/20/20/20, and normally they are only playable on nights up to 7. Well, there's a way to have these during that same Night 8, which requires a bit of save editing. You can either type out %Appdata% in the Windows search bar and then access "MMFApplications" folder, or enable hidden folders in your settings and manually find it, the path to which is Disk C>Users>(your user name)>AppData>Roaming>MMFApplications (note the folder might be missing if you have not opened the game yet or any other app made on that engine). After that, you must open the "fn4" file through any text editor. You are now viewing the game's save file, and you're ready to edit it. Make sure to put the challenges you wanted on before doing the next steps, because they won't be available to you afterwards. While looking through the file, you'll stumble upon an item named "beat8=1" (that's in case you've already beaten 20/20/20/20, otherwise you can save edit the game and type it in), you should either erase it or set it to zero. Afterwards, you will probably want to re-enter the Extra and check if Night 8 is available now with the challenges you've enabled. Challenges stay on when you die, but will be turned off as soon as you restart the game, so if you want to try again later, you'll have to repeat these steps.
Now you know how to have challenges on during 20/20/20/20, so it's time to tell the hardest combinations you can do in FNAF 4. First off, make sure to play Halloween Edition to have the radio static and music box ambience present during your nights. Skip doing the Nightmare BB minigame to have the full six minute experience in your night. Finally, enable Blind Mode with either All Nightmare on (if you want to have a true rng-fest), or Mad Freddy and Insta-Foxy (to truly test your skills in the game). Only the most professional players will beat these nights, so if you feel confident in your knowledge, you can go ahead and give it a try (both Night 8 and Challenge Mode stars will be awarded to you again if you removed these from your save file).
