Preface

This guide shows locations of all documents that can be found in the main campaign and Tides of Oblivion DLC. None are missable. Collected documents carry over to NG+ / Journey 2.

Steam breaks images sometimes so if you notice a screenshot that isn't loading please tell, i will reupload it.

If somebody decides to revive Pascal's Wager wiki - feel free to copy information from this guide. This, however, does not apply to professional websites who steal entire steam guides and monetize them. You people suck.

By cages in front of another small dungeon, on the path to the right of the friendly midwife with a cauldron.


The Diary of a Crazy Woman
At the Place of Newborns, next to one of mothers.


Mysterious Note
Below the Place of Newborns, where you encounter Elmar for the second time.


Part of a Girl’s Diary
In a dungeon corridor where the girl is imprisoned.


Dharams’ Notebook
On the boss' arena.

Crazy Note (called "Furious Note" when picked up)
At the very start of the level.


Beggar's Journal (called "The Diary of a Begger" when picked up)
On top of the tower surrounded by giant branches.


The Last Diary
On a barrel next to the second gated shortcut.


Incomplete Record of The Banished
At the graveyard.


Kassandra's Last Words
Close to the chapel's entrance.


Penitent's Note
In the chapel, next to the confession booth.


The Old Diary of a Soldier's Wife
In a cave with two church warriors, obscured by a rock.


Unsent Letter
Becomes availabe after you beat the chapter boss, can be found past the arena.

In the caven underneath a stone wall. Walk over tree roots to get there.

In the room with a marred soldier and a marred archer turn right and use a ladder descend to the level below, to the room with two archers. From there head to the outer "ring" of the tower.

Behind the wall to which the ladder (2nd screenshot) is attached is a set of traversable slabs. The document lies on top of one of them.

In the room with a marred soldier and a marred archer turn right and use a ladder descend to the level below, to the room with two archers. From there head to the outer "ring" of the tower and find a small door which leads outside.

Use wooden bridges to reach an underground tunnel. Behind a marred archer is a ledge, the document is on a rock below.

Past the town square (where a trio of dancing clowns are), below the barricaded bridge.

Right side of the town square, drop down a hole in the roof of a locked house.


Rumor (called "Secret Rumors" when picked up)
First floor of the house that leads to the second square where a group of patrolling takolas is.


Crazy Diary
In the lizard-filled cavern where the second Altar is.


Pharmacist's Journal
Not far from the 3rd Altar.


Proceedings (called "Record of Proceedings" when picked up)
Next to a dancing noble lord and three midwives.


Soldier's Journal
On a shelf inside a house on the street that leads to the courtroom and the 3rd belltower.

In the hall with many broken elevators find one with a working lever. The document is in a small cavern above the hall.


Eckhart's Diary Part Three
In the hall with two sanctifiers and a priest.


A Broken Note
After lowering the madman's cage head into the next room. Kill the sanctifier who is watching empty cages through a hole in a wall. The document is in one of the cages.


Eckhart's Diary Part Five
Jump down a hole in the floor of a balcony that's connected to the bridge with two lightheads on it. The document is on top of a cage below.

Rippled Shell
Snowfield, western side. Cross the bridge to the street where sludge collectors battle scavengers, then turn left. The document is at the end of the street, behind the corner.


Weathered Boarding
Snowfield, western side. Cross the bridge to the street where sludge collectors battle scavengers, then drop down from the ledge where a sludge collector is sitting. The document is underneath statues.


Cracked Dirt Tablet
Snowfield, western side. Cross the bridge to the street where sludge collectors battle scavengers, then drop down from the ledge where a sludge collector is sitting. Go around and climb back up, then exit the building and pass through a stone gate leading to a bridge.


Old Shiny Paper
Snowfield, eastern side. From the Altar go past the fountain towards the tower, then climb a wooden walkway on your right. The document is in the first corridor after the walkway.


Scorched Note
Snowfield, eastern side. From the Altar go past the fountain towards the tower, then climb a wooden walkway on your right. At the end of the second corridor after the walkway is a hole in the floor. The document is down below, at the end of the left passageway.



Gilded Treasure Records
Snowfield, eastern side. In the corridor that leads to the treasury.


Treasury Master's Trial
Snowfield, eastern side. In the corridor that leads to the treasury.


Ichthyosaurian Prayer
Snowfield, eastern side. From the room with a bunch of chilling collectors go upstairs, then straight forward. At the end of the corridor is a ledge (hinted by a collectible) from which you can drop down into a gated space below. The document is inside.


Anonymous Message
Snowfield, eastern side. Above the room with a bunch of chilling collectors.


Muddy Scroll
Tower of the Origin, on the balcony that's accessed from the eastern pathway.


Wrinkled Journal: IV
To obtain this document you need to complete sidequest "River of Memories" (see Tales + Contracts guide for the walkthrough). After completing the quest return to the village and descend to a ship that appears below a cliffside that's not far from the village's Altar.


Erosion Scroll
Tower of the Origin. Defeat Ichthyosauria chapter boss, then interact with <...> in the next area.
