Introduction
Hey all, this is my first guide so go easy on me.

I was very excited to see that a new piece of Tron media had been produced, so I got the game. Upon loading into the game though, I was met with some of the most unacceptable anti-aliasing I have ever seen in a modern game. I looked for graphics settings, but there were none. I play games from 2004 that have better graphics options. Whatever. I load into the game, thinking it might be better. It's not. In fact even the lobby area looks so bad that it legitimately should have required a photosensitive seizure warning. Thus began my quest to make the game look ok. Here are all of the things that I have done to help my game look better. Not all of these may be necessary, but this is what worked for me on my Intel based system with 16 gigs of ram and a 2070 super.
The Meat of it
  • The first (potentially optional) thing I did was use this guide from a valheim post on reddit
    to edit the config file for the game. The only change I made in addition to what they put for the values was to make
    hdr-display-enabled=1
    to hopefully fool the game into rendering as if I had an HDR display.

    This didn't seem to help significantly, this may not really do anything. Who knows. It didn't hurt anything.... so I moved on to the second step.

  • Update Nvidia drivers, then open Nvidia control panel. Click on "Manage 3D settings" then switch the tab to "Program Settings" then add Tron: Identity from your steam library to the list. USE THE SCROLL BAR ONLY ON THIS PAGE otherwise you will select other program's settings. Then select these settings:

    Image Scaling: On
    Anisotropic Filtering: 8x
    Antialiasing - FXAA: On
    Antialiasing - Gamma: On
    Antialiasing - Mode: Override any
    Antialiasing - Setting: 8x
    Antialiasing - Transparency 8x (Supersample)

    (leave these ones on whatever is default)

    Multi-Frame Sampled AA (MFAA): On

    Power Management Mode: Prefer Maximum Performance
    Texture Filtering - Yada yadda: On
    Texture Filtering - Negative Whatever: Allow
    Texture Filtering - Quality: High Quality (Of course)
    Texture Filtering - Trilinear optimization: On

    Make sure to Click "Apply" down in the lower right. Don't close the program. Then move on to stage...

  • FINAL MOST IMPORTANT PART
    Pleez note that you may have some mild side effects from this part. I really suggest that you only change this setting right before playing.

    Under the "Display" heading on the left you will find the top option, "Change resolution" This is what we will be using to trick your game into up-scaling everything. To do this you must know the native resolution of the monitor that you intend to play the game on. To find that out use the following these steps: Select that monitor by clicking on the very unhelpful picture that it shows. (ignore this step if you only have one monitor) Then under "Chose the resolution" you will need to find the option that have the tag " (native) " to the right on the numbers.

    Then, decide how much to upscale the game by. More is better, but keep in mind that it will make your graphics card work harder. Unless you have a modern card I would maybe only double or quadruple your resolution. How to do that? Simple, below the list of resolutions, there should be a button that says "Customize...". Click that. Make sure "Enable resolutions not exposed by the display" is checked. Now click "Create Custom Resolution" There should be an entry in the window now. Click on the green pencil icon beside the red X. The "Edit Custom Resolution" window should appear. The horizontal pixels and vertical lines numbers should be some "multiple" of your native resolution numbers. For instance, my native resolution is 1920 x 1080 so I put in 3640 for horizontal pixels and 2160 for vertical lines for my new custom resolution, as this is one of the standard resolutions that is higher than my current one. (Wow that was a terrible way to explain, sorry) Do not change anything else here. Simply click "test" and make sure that there are no large black bars around the image on the screen. There should be a test button, if it looks "ok" (by this I mean no black bars or something, because the image should appear "Shrink-ier") then continue. when you are back in the "Change resolution" window, select your new resolution under "Custom" then click "apply" screen should blink and stuff then go to what might appear to be a zoomed out version of everything. The window that pops up will have a timer on it to auto-revert back to your previous resolution if you do not click "ok" or whatever it says. This window and it's text should appear much smaller than you expect if it is working correctly. This is because Windows sucks at scaling UI correctly. The layout of your desktop icons may change temporarily while the resolution is changed. Do not panic. They will go back to where you put them when you change the resolution back to the native one.

  • Load up the game. Everything from the first Disney logo till the end of the game should appear smoother, less blocky, less jagged, and overall nicer looking. Please note that you may still see same aliasing around bright lines on dark backgrounds, especially if the lines are thin and at an angle. The bars on the window grate in the menu screen of the game are the perfect places to look to see if it has worked properly.

    The Grid has never looked this good.

    Note: If you have properly set up multiple displays so that your mouse doesn't hang up on the edges between monitors, you may find after changing between your native resolution and your custom one, that your alignment becomes a bit off. Simply go back into Nvidia control panel and under "Set up multiple displays", drag your monitor position(s) back to where they should be.
