How to Bind keys in gmod

I will teach you how to bind keys for Gmod that can be usefull in the famous gamemode darkRP

How to bind the key

This is very easy to do and a lot of people ask me how to do this on the server i am admin on so i thought i would make a guide on how to do it.

first you have to pull up your console by pressing ~ in game.
next you will have to use this format to bind the key you want
Bind (key you would like) "say (what you want to say /advert)"

one thing that a lot of people get mixed up on is not putting this at the beginning and end of the bind is the quotation mark I.E "
it is a crucial part and HAS to be done.

Here is how i binded one of my keys:

bind t "say /advert Mug Drop $1000 or die"

by entering that in console whenever you press the "t" key on your keyboard it should pop up this in chat if you are on a server with the advert addon:

Mug Drop $1000 or die

if you are in a game without the advert addon it will display this in chat

/advert Mug Drop $1000 or die

For binding keys where you can't just press the button try typing its name out, so like "bind f1", "bind enter" or "bind space"
