Where To Find All Gems

Gems are one of the rarer item types that you can come across in Spiritfarer. Here, you can learn where to get all five in the game.

There are dozens of resources in Spiritfarer. Some resources are very important, while others can be sold in order to make a few Glim. As you journey around the map, you will come across gems. Gems will go into the gem category of your inventory. This category will also contain lightning in a bottle, XP potions, bottled ectoplasm, and bright jelly.
In this guide, we are going to go over the five gems available, as well as where to get them. Gems can be quite important, as they are needed for a few quests and building upgrades. All gems can be acquired from Francis the Wandering Trader through various errands. You may not have the required material to get the gems though, so we are going to go over the additional ways to find them too.

Citrine

The first gem we have is citrine. This can be obtained from the following errand.

Citrine can also be found in the following locations.

• Chest on top of Alice's House in Mount Toroyama
  
• Chance to drop while mining from the Quartz Dragon with Improved Tools Ability
  
• Guaranteed from quartz mined on Turtle Sisters

Amethyst

Amethyst is a purple gem that can be obtained from the following errand.

Additionally, amethyst can be found while mining limestone with the Improved Tools Ability. In Hoseki Quarry, you can also find a chest that contains one amethyst in a secret passage.

Diamond

Diamond is a rare and expensive gem that can be obtained from the following errand.

• Mining Coal with the Improved Tools Ability

• Chest in the secret passage of Hoseki Quarry

Hematite

Hematite is a fairly cheap gem that can be acquired from the following errand.

In addition to this errand, you can find hematite from the following places.

• Chance to drop while mining from the Aluminum Dragon with Improved Tools Ability
  
• Guaranteed from aluminum mined on Turtle Sisters
  
• Completing collections at Susan's Museum

Opal

Lastly, we have opal. This gem can be obtained from the following errand.

Unlike other gems, you can purchase opal from the shop at Hikarishima Lighthouse (-137, -14) for 3,000 Glim. Mining marble will also yield an opal after you have acquired the Improved Tools Ability.
