Assassin is a sub-class of the Thief class, they specialize on quick attacks with multiple hits aswell as deception. If you like fast characters or stealth, this is the class for you.
Skill Introduction
The next two sections will cover what skills you should get and not get.

I will include the following for each skill:

Description - I will give my description of the skill as some of the descriptions ingame are confusing even with the videos.
Usage - The main role(s) of the skill during a fight.
Comments - My comments about the skill, aswell as the recommended level for it.
Battle tips - Tips that can help you in a battle.

Lets get started!

The MUST:
Fast Evade 3 (Maxed) A must for any PvP character.
Sliding 2, the 3rd level is only useful on PvE.
Sneaky Attack 5 (Maxed) you want this skill on the shortest cooldown possible to escape combos.
Cancel Jump 1 Further levels DO NOT decrease the cooldown on PvP.

THE DON'T:
The Swear of Winds - Party skill, no use here.
Hook of Judgement - Extremely long cooldown on PvP, not worth grabbing.

Skills
Assassination of Darkness
Description: Throws a spinning dagger for a slightly longer range than a regular attack.

Usage: Catching, adding extra damage to ground combos

Comments: I personally find this skill pretty useless, but if you are having a hard time with combos you
should level it to 10 because it allows you to do some extra damage on ground combos
Recommended level (1 or 10)

Battle tips: If you are trying to catch someone with this skill, be sure to cancel out of it if you missed with
Fast Evade/Air Kick/Cancel Jump as it will leave you very vulnerable otherwise.

Flying Dagger
Description: Throws a spinning dagger that can lift targets off the ground.

Usage:Lift grounded targets

Comments: An extremely reliable skill and a must for every Assassin, lifting your target off the ground is very important
because most of your catching abilities will ground the target.
Recommended level (3)

Battle tips: Use it whenever your target is on the ground to start a combo.

Dawn Strike
Description: A quick barrage of 12 hits.

Usage: Catching, adding extra damage to ground combos.

Comments:This attack is extremely useful for catching because it moves a significant distance before attacking, there's also little to no window
for the opponent to punish it except when the attack doesn't chain properly, in that case you'll need to cancel out of it with Fast Evade/Air Kick/Cancel Jump
Recommended level (At least 1)

Battle tips: Use this skill as often as you can to initiate a combo.

Dance of Hallucination
Description: A very flashy skill that does decent damage.

Usage: Combo finisher, long invulnerability for team fights

Comments: This skill should only be used to finish a combo because you'll be unable to combo your enemy after using it.
Recommended level (4)

Hide

Secret Art - Black Dagger
Description: Throw a dagger and teleport to your target's back if it lands.

Usage: Catching, setting up back attacks

Comments: Simply an amazing skill, not only does it blind, which is very annoying on PvP but it also has very long range along with the ability to set up
back attacks which do more damage.
Recommended level (7 MAXED)

Battle tips: Try to use this when your opponent is trying to run away, or is using a slow skill to punish them instantly.

Clone Explosion
Description: Dodge away and stealth, leaving a decoy standing on your previous position. Your decoy will explode in 5 seconds or when you attack.

Usage: Deception, Stealth

Comments: I find this skill extremely useful when used correctly, it does a high amount of damage and can be really confusing for the opponent.
You can use it as a temporal stealth aswell. The only downside to this skill is that when your decoy gets damaged, you will get damaged aswell, so timing
is crucial.
Recommended level (At least 1)

Battle tips: Use this skill when your enemy is being too agressive, that way he will very likely fall into the trap. Remember you are in stealth so you can close
gaps aswell.

Leaf Slash
Description: Slashes 4 times, the 4th slash will knock the enemy up.

Usage: Catching, Damage

Comments: This skill's damage is pretty good, I recommend using it for combos instead of catching though.
Recommended level (At least 5)

Battle tips: This skill sets up a variety of combos, use it often.

Throwing
Description: Kicks the air twice.

Usage: Catching, Combo extending, Lift grounded targets

Comments: To be honest, I don't like this skill, but seeing as it has some catching potential and it lifts grounded targets I still recommend getting it.
Recommended level (1)

Battle tips: A stronger alternative to flying dagger.

Half moon Throwing
Description: Does an extremely fast and long slash, you are invulnerable while using it.

Usage: Catching, invulnerability

Comments: Despite the awfully long cooldown this skill is very useful and you should get it for the utility it provides.
Recommended level (1)

Battle tips: Use it to get out of certain attacks or to close a gap.

Air Kick & Dark Dagger
Description: Quickly dodges backwards and throws a dagger

Usage: Catching, keeping a distance

Comments: There's a fun trick you can do to catch people with it, I will cover it on the tricks section.
Fire Tree
Tracing Chop
Description: Disappear and strike your target to the ground (aimable for a few seconds)

Usage: Catching, Dodging attacks

Comments: This skill will be your main catching ability, it has a decent range and is pretty easy to land.
Recommended level (4)

Battle tips: Use this skill when someone attacks you, when timed correctly, they will be punished and will be ready a combo!

Fire Grab
Description: Grabs an enemy and damages with fire.

Usage: Evade Counter, Canceling

Comments: This skill is very damaging but it also has very small range, it's pretty easy to land on combos though.
Keep in mind you are able to cancel most skills by using this skill, and that this has a second trigger called Fire Release which does 70%
of the skill's damage you can trigger it by pressing X after using the skill (even if you don't land it)
Recommended level (4)

Battle tips: Use it in combos (will be covered in combo section) and use it if your opponent is standing close to you when you are down. You can
also use Fire Release to hit opponents at considerable range.

Sneaky Flame
Description: Disappear and strike your target to the ground (aimable for a few seconds)

Usage: Catching, Dodging attacks

Comments: Pretty much a slower but stronger version of tracing chop. Keep in mind that it takes quite a while to disappear if you are planning to avoid attacks with it.
you require 1 Blaze Chakra to use it (covered on Chakra section).
Recommended level (1)

Battle Tips: Use it to catch or to close a gap.
Ice Tree
White Night - Gesture of Death
Description: Does a spinning jump with ice element.

Usage: Damage, Air combo

Comments: Believe it or not this is Assassin's main damaging skill for PvP. It is a 100% critical chance when you land it on an air combo, this skill along with
Assassin's critical power passives make this one of the deadliest skills in the game.

Battle tips: Use it as much as possible, only for air combos though.

White Night - Walk
Description: Spin in the air and spread ice over a wide area.

Usage: Combo finisher, Slow debuff

Comments: This skill's area is pretty big and the slow debuff is deadly, you require 1 Cold Chakra to use it (covered on Chakra section) and it can only be used in the air.
Recommended level (7, current MAX)

Battle tips: This links perfectly from White Night - Gesture of Death, keep in mind though that your combo will end as you can't follow it up with any other skills.
Use the slow debuff to your advantage, your opponent will be much easier to catch again for a few seconds.

Infinite Repel
Description: Send up to 3 clones in front of you to dash forward.

Usage: Covering area, damage.

Comments: This skill is pretty fun to use and has pretty high damage, I'll cover how to use it efficiently on the tricks section.

Battle tips: Remember you can control the number of clones you send forward by holding the command/hotkey, use this to your advantage.
Passives
The only passive that is worth spending on is Link Sliding , it will allow you to quickly use skills after a slide. All the other passives aren't worth it in my opinion,
because they have their effects extremely reduced on PvP.
If you really want to grab another passive though, Dominator of Battleground is worth a try.
Chakra
Charka is an additional cost besides MP that some Assassin skills require. Chakra is shown as little flying energy orbs floating around your character.

There's 2 different types of chakra:
-Blaze (red)
-Cold (blue)

The max number of chakra you can have at any time is 5, if you get more than 5, the first chakra you generated will be replaced.

The following skills generate Blaze chakra:

Blaze chakra is required to use Sneaky Flame

The following skills generate Cold chakra:


Cold Chakra is required to use Walk and


Additionally consumes any type of chakra (the one you generated first)

what about the skill "blow of focus"? btw nice guide, i hope i can improve my combos with it ^^
