Basic TTT Keybinds, Tips, Commands, and Binding Keys to your Number Pad

Learn important TTT commands (some for admins, some for users) and how to bind them to your number pad keys. This is my first guide.

Binding a command to a key is simple if you know what the command is, for this guide we will be focusing on TTT commands, rather than general gmod commands. As a note, I'm not sure if any of this will have an effect on binds for other gamemodes. My first assumption would be that it does, but I only play TTT so I don't know.

To start out, you need to enable CONSOLE.
This can be done by going to Options>Keyboard>Advanced>Enable developers console.

The following are examples on how to correctly bind these commands to keys.

bind "kp_5" "ttt_radio check"
bind "kp_uparrow" "ttt_print_traitors"
bind "m" "ttt_radio traitor"
bind "p" "ttt_toggle_disguise"

If for any reason you bind a key incorrectly, you can use unbind "key" to retry.
Examples:
unbind "kp_5"
unbind "kp_home"
unbind "m"
unbind "p"

Admin Commands

As a note, some of these need you to be Super Admin (or have access to the RCON password) in order for you to use them during the round. All of these will admin commands appear in your console.

ttt_print_traitors
This is pretty self-explanatory, you use it to check who the traitors are.

ttt_print_adminreport
This will tell you who killed who during the round, use it for a quick glance at what went on.

ttt_print_damagelog
This can be used by ALL players if damage logging is enabled for the server. This can be used to see if anyone lied about what happened during a round. (IE: He shot me first!) It will only work during the round for super admins and people who know the servers RCON password.

User / Player Commands

ttt_dropweapon
Lets you drop your weapon.

ttt_dropammo
Lets you drop the current clip in your gun. (Can be used to "transfer" ammo to other weapons.)

ttt_toggle_disguise
Toggles your disguise as a Traitor (If you have one).

ttt_spectate_mode
This command can be used to enter spectator mode. Typing either into console with a 0 afterwards will move you back into the game. Example: "ttt_spectate_mode 0"

TTT Radio Commands

These can be used as quick text-based replys or callouts. ALL of these (and more) are located at the bottom of this official page. (I primarily use four of them for simplicity (and I use a microphone while playing.)

Shows up as "I'm with ________."

ttt_radio suspect
Shows up as "________ acts suspicious."

ttt_radio traitor
Shows up as "________ is the traitor!"

ttt_radio innocent
Shows up as "________ is innocent."

ttt_radio see
Shows up as "I see ________."

ttt_radio check
Shows up as "Anyone still alive?"

Number Pad Keys

The number pad keys work differently than the letter and regular number keys when it comes to binding. To bind to the number pad you need to use the following.

Default TTT Keybinds

You might have changed some of your default keys, which could have an effect on TTT. If you want to fix this, either reset your keys to their default settings, or use the following link to figure out where you've gone wrong. (I currently don't have the time to copy over a table.)

Extra Information and Tips

All of this information is available by doing a quick google search. Many people know all of this already, but this is mostly for my friends or people I come across who need a bit of direction on the subject. Almost all the information here is publicly available on http://ttt.badking.net/.

IMPORTANT

You NEED to have Counter-Strike: Source for many of TTT's textures to show up. If you do not own CS:S the only advice I can give you is to keep a lookout for sales using the following link. CS:S Regularly goes on sale for $5-$10

While there are "other" ways to obtain these files, most (if not all) of them are illegal or incredibly sketchy to do. The simplest, easiest, and most effective way to get this working is to just buy the game when its half-off.

Tips:

• Pressing F1 will open the Help Menu
  
• Pressing F2 will cycle through muting functions (while dead) so you can talk to other dead players without distraction.
  
• Killing somebody with a headshot ensures that they won't shout or make other noises on death. (This is for their sound effects, not microphone or ttt_radio.)
  
• Detectives can tell who the last person a player saw was. This can be useful in some situations.
  
• You can call a Detective to a body while examining it. (There's a button there to do so.)
  
• When you examine a body, pay attention to see if they had any last words. Someone in the middle of typing (or using ttt_radio) can give you vital information about their final moments if you take the time to check.

Unfortunatly I don't really have the time to go in-depth with it and find a "good" one, but something like this might work. I don't know if it's at all up to date, if it works, or how to mount it. You'll have to go about doing that yourself.
