Getting started
Do you want to create panels with the original style of the game? Stay here and you will know how.

Requirements:

Download Medibang Pro Paint[medibangpaint.com]

Which is necessary to create the panels below.

Download the files containing the templates[drive.google.com]

NOTE: When you open medibang, close the first 2 windows that appears to import the templates

Create L4D2 Panel icons
It's as easy as it sounds, and I'm going to explain it to you step by step.

First open the file called "l4d2 panel icon template"

Then, you must place an image (It has to have a transparent background.) on the layer called [Your image here] which is where your image should clearly go, for that you simply have to drag your image directly to that layer (make sure to have that layer selected)

once the image is imported, adjust its size as you like (it is recommended that only your face be seen), to resize it simply press Ctrl + T.

When it is set to your preference, merge the layer down by pressing the button next to the trash can icon.

Then, you have to select the layer of your image, for that simply press the "Select" option that is at the top, then click on "create selection from layer" and so you will have your image selected

Then, you click the "select" option again, then the "Expand" option and we have to expand it 8 pixels.

Then, click on the "image borders" layer, click on the paint bucket tool (or just press G) and in the reference option that is above, choose "Layer" grab a black color and then click on the image and indeed it should be created the borders

After that, your icon panel should be complete, deselect everything and export it as png or jpg

Create L4D2 Lobby Panels
To create icon panels, it's a bit similar to the previous one, but the layers are different, so here I'll explain how it works.

Open the file called "l4d2 lobby template"

then you click on the "Your image here" layer and drag our image to that layer, adjust the size and position to your preference by pressing ctrl + T and then you click on merge layer down (remember again, it's the button next to the trash can icon).

Then you click on the "select" option that is above, then you click on "Create selection from layer", then you open the "Select" option again and then you click on "Expand" but this time, expand only 5 pixels

Finally, click on the "Image borders" layer and click on the paint bucket tool (or press G), in reference we select "layer" we grab a black color, and click on our image to put the borders on it.

and it would be ready, it would only be exported as png or jpg.
Create L4D1 Panel Icons
To create l4d1 icon panels is a bit similar to l4d2, but easier and contains fewer layers

To start, open the file called "l4d2 panel icon template"

then, as always, click on the layer called "Your image here" and drag your image into that layer,

(it is necessary that it be the image of our character turned to the left, but if you want you can omit that and put it in any direction)

adjust the size and position to your preference by pressing ctrl + T, then merge our image onto the layer below.

once merged, click the option "Select" then "create selection from layer" Then click again on "Select", then "Expand" and expand 5 pixels

Now click the paint bucket tool (or press G), In the option above "reference" we choose "layer" and you fill the selection, but this time with a white color.

Then deselect and Export our panel as png or jpg.
Create L4D1 Lobby panels
Open the file called "l4d1 lobby panel template"

Then click on the "Your image here" layer and drag your image to that layer, adjust the size and position to your preference by pressing ctrl + T and then click on merge layer down

Then click on the "select" option that is above, then you click on "Create selection from layer", then open the "Select" option again and then you click on "Expand" and expand 5 pixels

Finally, click on the "Image borders" layer and click on the paint bucket tool (or press G). from reference you select "layer" We grab the color that I will leave below (#667fb1), and click on your image to put the borders on it.

and it would be ready, export it as png or jpg.
Create Incapacited panels
To create the incapacitated panels, it may be necessary to have the image of our character in a lying position, and once you get it:

First open the file called "Incap template"

once open, click on the layer "Your image here" and drag your image to that layer, adjust, flip and change the size to your liking, (try not to cover the black area as little as possible) and then merge the layer down

(Optional) You can add the guns if you want, or if you don't you can just import an image that doesn't look like it's holding guns

after that, export your image as png or jpg.
Results
And that would be all, here I leave the following results so that you can see how it has to be

If this guide has helped you, I would like you to support me with an award, so keep making guides like these, and thanks for reading this guide!

One last thing: the images must be converted to vtf (the game image format) for them to work, if you don't know how to do it you can look for help on youtube, steam or the internet, or if this gets a lot of support, I will also make a guide on how to convert .PNG or .JPG files to .VTF
And again, thanks for reading this guide!
